Is it me or does it look out of place,the UI looks convoluted now. I wonder if it will be a last minute change.
 
Welp, I'm in love with Sadira. I love everything about her! Her spider theme, her stage, her moves, her music, and even her look now that they took off the mask that covered half her face. Damn Killer Instinct, why do you tempt me so!

Also, I like Orchid's reveal a lot as well. I think she looks great except for maybe the goggles, but they really don't bother me that much. Now I just have to wait for my boy Cinder to show up.

It seems a bit excessive. Some things don't even need to be there, like "Match Outcome". Of course I'm looking at the Match Outcome.

Otherwise, it's okay because there are a bunch of placeholder icons/flavor text/grades right now.
 
Looks amazing. Sadira looks great - totally in keeping with the KI aesthetic. Lack of Fulgore is like a lack of Ryu. I guess they're saving him. Cinder was always my main, but Fulgore is the character I'm most interested to see.

Orchid looks pretty good. I don't mind the goggles, but I'd like her face to have a little more pop. Might just be the expression she's making in that frame.

I'm interested that the game will be T-rated, given the sheer amount of blood we're seeing in the footage. I hope the devs don't have to pull anything back for the sake of the rating.

I guess its that I can understand where all the other designs are coming from - even if I don't like Jago. They are all acceptable deviations from the original characters in the first two games. For me, Orchid is the most drastic departure in that she went from looking like a go go dancer to an adventurer.

Would have liked to see the headband - maybe something that tied in the back i.e. Sakura or Ryu. I would have liked to see her keep the leotard. I guess I was expecting more of a Psylocke than, what I have referred to as, a Lara Croft.

Her KI2 outfit already looks like Psylocke. It would be rendered redundant by the inclusion of her classic costume.

The reason why Orchid's is such a departure is because she looked like a go-go dancer. She looked the least like a combatant in KI, and even though I liked her classic design, I respect what they tried to do with this redesign. She doesn't really look like an adventurer to me. She looks like a covert operative that is showing a bit more skin that usual, and that's perfectly okay to me.

Ultimately, I don't know if how the game plays will jive with me, but I do have to say that I really enjoy Double Helix's character redesigns for this game outside of maybe Sabrewolf.
 
That model looks much different that the trailer....must be still worked on.

They went a bit more on customizations. Every costume has a base set of accessories that you can earn by ranking up/playing more of the game.

Game has visual titles???

Agreed. She was much too heavily sexualized in previous games. I think they hit a good balance with the redesign: she's still unmistakably Orchid. Her face looks somewhat Jolie-esque, but I love her build. Good to see a female fighter with some guns.

Oh - they just said accessories can be mixed and matched on the stream, so no more goggles.
 
Hmmm, customizing characters with accessories. Tilting me even further towards the $40 version.
 
So the costumes have different accessories and you can switch them out at will. You can also customize different parts of the costumes to your liking.

Which means that people will likely be able to remove Orchid's goggles if they don't like them.
 
Really happy that he confirmed Shadow Jago not being in the first 8. Guess I'm getting the Day One Gold! :p

Any news of a potential physical retail release of this game? Physical copies are really important to me, and I can't ask in streamchat because I can't figure out how to Facebook Connect because Twitch is ass.
 
I usually don't like when people say this about a new character, but Sadira looks too strong right now. Her mobility is through the fucking roof, and I'm seeing 40-50% combos all day on stream.

Which, for the record, I think is fucking terrific. Everyone should be as strong as her.
 
I want TJ Combo as the last reveal but it's probably going to be Fulgore since he was a major part of the original.

No love for Cinder? You can't have ice without fire.
