Healing is just as hard as tanking
My char is only using 1.1 bags. My 2 retainers have things setup with plenty of space and things sectioned for cooking, fishing, carpentry/leatherworking, materia, and to be sold. No need to even spend half your time organizing, just put some thought into it.
People who don't often heal find it difficult/stressful. It's really just different. I find it easy because it's all I ever do in MMOs, but I can understand people finding it hard. That said, I have never tanked a day in my life, so I can't compare it to that.i dont think so as a whm
only done up to garu hm tho
To be honest, even if there was meaningful character building, everyone would still build their characters the same way. That's how it is in every MMO. One or two builds are "what you should have" and the community won't accept anything else.
They're messy because you're messy.
I have 50 WAR and 50 MNK. I have 50 CUL, 50 CRP, 35 LTW, and 31 FSH.

Pretty ignorant response. Grats on being so pro and welcome to my ignore list.

That's true. It's very simplistic compared to other MMOs. I really liked how varied healing was in Wow circa TBC/WotLK. Lots of different abilities that you need to learn to use at the right times for the best efficiency. In this game, most of your time is spent using cure or cure 2.This is the first MMO I've healed in and it has helped a lot that the WHM's kit seems (mostly) simple and effective.
Don't care if it's a low level chef thing, still nice to see.

Is there a leve where you can turn those in? You can reap some awesome EXP if so.
Lol wat. This a joke or do people really still do this? Announce when putting someone on ignore I mean.
However, healing on hard content justifies the whole role to me. It's reverse whack-a-mole in its most extreme form.
That would be nice. Was in a dungeon the other day, and the tank/dps both ran and initiated the boss straight away. It was a good job I saw the timer message, skipped the cutscene and got into the room in time. If i'd have been 2 seconds slower they'd have been without an healer...they should make it so you can't start boss fight until everyone is in the room
this could prevent hasty tanks from pulling before everyone gets in and leechers!
Sorta, near the end there are these adds with their beams covering the whole area, and our WHM was running around like crazy trying to save him and the Tank who was brute forcing like a boss. It was quite funny and thrilling to watch that.
y; some were asking isnt warrior weaker/harder than paladin?
y; in development environment the devs are really strong with marauder
y; so I think youll find them out soon
y; they are really strong

Lancer/Dragoon is dpsSo a bit interested in the game. Took a quick glance over the classes and sady didn't find anything that resembles a necromancer / destruction warlock. So I'd take the second best: Something with a spear. Lancer seems to fit that quite well.
What's their job? DPS? Anything useful? Why go for Lancer instead of Marauder or Rogue or Mage?
Lancer/Dragoon is dps
Marauder is a tank
There is no thf/rouge class

That's because only a certain number of groups can do an instance at a time. You have to wait for the game to reserve an instance, even if you already have a group.
This is usually only a problem with the 50 dungeons, especially AK.

I will play any MMO that has a Rouge.
I'll buy any expansion pack that brings in thief, ninja and especially blue mage.
Who am I kidding I'll buy any expansion regardless.
I was just making fun of the "Rouge" spelling mistake.
I thought Pugilist is some sort of rogue and that Gladiator is a tank, because of the shield.
Marauder - Tank
Lancer - DPS
Pugilist - ???
The other classes - ??? Any one fancy to do a short list for me?^^
Is there a reason ti pick one class for a certain job over the other? Do they have unique buffs, debuffs or abilities so you want one of each? Is there a site that has a character overview? The wiki is kinda terrible.
I mean, how is your character skillset decided anyway. I get that you have obviously a "class", is there more? Hybrid classes? etc Anything I can read that will enlighten me on the topic?
Will see if I can find a character that interests me - that's obviously the requirement to pick the game up, and I never go in blind.![]()
Well... you should've done it sooner. You don't have to buy the game again, but the free time for 1.0 users ran out just recently.I played the first version of XIV for a bit, so I can download the Realm Reborn client for free, right? What do I have to do? I want to try the game for a while, but I don't want to pay for it again.

Well, I guess I'm not sure. Perhaps you're right. They don't get that free trial period from when they start playing ARR?
man I only got one week to play this.
did Square implement anyway to suspend one's subscription?

Pugilist -> Monk: Raw melee DPS, heavy positional bonus for backstabs.
Lancer -> Dragoon: Less-positional melee DPS, seems to have a bit more AoE/DOT utility?
