I pirated 360 games and MS banned me, what the hell?

I find It hard to believe you were doing nothing against the code of conduct, but hey, that's just me

Oman sucks to be you.

There's always more to the story when something like this happens. Did you have any altercations with anyone on Live? Have you done anything that violated their TOS?

A perma ban from Xbox is pretty serious. MS usually ban the console, but the account as well. It is just not the Oman thing. Ask them why you were banned.

Seems like a way to turn people towards piracy, or do MS expect banned accounts to apologize and buy all the games again?

Seems like it, but then one has to ask is it piracy if you have no choice but to basically redownload them through an unofficial source because MS just shat all over your legit purchases., or somehow justify the absurd notion of rebuying things you already purchased...which of course requires the purchase of a new fucking system.

Digital future, yeah! What a bunch of nonsense.

you should call MS support. Maybe its just a new feature
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

You know the "PS doesn't do this" or "welcome to Playstation" comments don't really help the fact that he possibly lost a lot of the games he bought himself.

Sorry, OP. But I don't think it's the Oman thing. I mean I stopped after the Morocco fuckup, but it doesn't sound right. MS has been doing this for a WHILE (free games in diffferent regions) and they haven't banned anyone/no one has reported banning.

Yes, you're playing with fire, but take a look back and think: did you do ANYTHING else?

The conduct that caused this ban may include, but is not limited to:
- Attempts to defraud Microsoft or authorized agents
- Fraudulent transfer of content licenses
- Attempts to commit Microsoft Points fraud
- Distribution of account credentials for fraudulent purposes
- Illegitimate acquisition of redemption codes

Did you do any of this?

Games all gone. Fuck digital, physical disc all the way. They wanted to make the system always online too. Thank god they 180 that shit.

And that's fuck all to do with this ban stop spouting shit.

He broke TOS. No matter how u look at it thats nothing to do with digital future or xbone

Guy took the Oman games = MS don't care
Guy then shared those Oman games with other accounts/consoles = MS care

He's banned for game sharing, we've been through this before with different users.

MS don't care that you "stole" the game, they care you then shared it with friends and family. Sorry bud, you're in the wrong.

Says something about people reporting you as a possibilty, was you bragging about it online and maybe someone reported you, so MS looked into it and then decided to lock you

If OP did get banned for the Oman exploit, I am certain it was well worth it to get such titles like Mars: War Logs, WRC Powerslide, and Painkiller Hell & Damnation DLC.

Seriously with the PS4 replies? That's nice that you're a wannabe walking advertisement, but that doesn't exactly help the OP or anyone really.

I think it's hilarious you abused free games and want to bitch when MS bans you.

Even more hilarious when you consider nothing that was offered was even worth downloading for free

There's always more to the story when something like this happens. Did you have any altercations with anyone on Live? Have you done anything that violated their TOS?

If I've learned anything from all the different ban threads these years Xbox Live has been active, it's that 99% of the time people claim to be "banned for no reason", they're mistaken or misleading. There's nearly always a reason.

Now, the OP could have gotten really unlucky and got an unusually harsh penalty for something like that Oman trick. It's possible. It just doesn't seem very likely. There's more to the story than we're getting. So, yeah, OP give the "xbox ban" forums a try and give us the reason they give. I'm actually interested to hear if you got caught up in some stupidly punitive BS Microsoft is doing.

He said he did the Oman thing... and therefore #2, 4, and 5 are probably all strikes against his account.

How do you know he game shared? I've never heard of MS banning for game sharing either.

Terrible form Microsoft. No reason given, no recourse for appeal.

This is why people shouldn't buy their products.

Next thing they will ban people for buying games! Wait... they did that with halo 4.

Bunch of thieves.

Not to mention makes the ones posting the comments sound like shills.

If it was marketplace theft on the Oman account, wouldn't they just ban the Oman account? Otherwise, how do they know which other profiles on the Xbox belong to the person that created the fake account?

It would be helpful if it listed the content that you're accused of stealing.

thats because it has nothing to do with that oman thing

thousands of people are taking advantage of stuff like that everytime ms makes a mistake and every single time a handful of people are creating a mass panic with stuff like this.

Yes, removing access to is 50 purchased games seems very reasonable when Microsoft made a mistake and gave away a free game.

No chance Microsoft should have just removed the single free game though, right?

Grab a Playstation, they don't really mind if you download the Saudi Arabia games on PS+ as well as the normal PS+ games.

Microsoft didn't make people change their region and download games they didn't have access to otherwise, did they? I dislike Microsoft as much as the next guy, but man up and take responsibility for your actions.

It's probably not the Oman thing anyway, but if it is I find it hard to feel sorry for someone who knowingly exploited the system and then got burned by it.
