Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | September 2013 | Token Indie Thread

Are there people who "regularly" swap memory cards to use accounts of different regions? Is that at all feasible? My main account is an EU one, but I don't want to use it for PSOne classics for obvious reasons, and the US store has a few PSP games that aren't in EU.

I'm thinking of getting another card, putting the few US games I'm interested in on it and playing through a few of them before swapping back the EU one. I can't use my friends list and trophies that way, but is there anything else that I should know about before doing this?

You have to restore your Vita to factory settings every time, and the process takes up about 10 minutes. It's a huge hassle for me, which is why I rarely switch accounts.

Yeah I know that the process is a pain, I wouldn't do this more than once a month, probably a lot less frequently.

Apparently La Mulana for Vita just got announced on a Japanese stream...
Every fucking time I grab an indie game on Steam a Vita version for that is announced 12 hours later at most. Fuck me. I even waited a couple months to be sure it wasn't bound for Vita. Oh well, double dipping once again.

This probably wouldn't happen, but how awesome would it be for some of these indie games that have Steam and Vita/PS3 versions now to use the same framework Portal 2 put forth and allow for your save game and trophies/achievements to be tied together?

I'd love all these games where I already do or will own both versions.

Yeah, it would be awesome to see Steamworks-compliant games on Vita, just like Portal 2 on PS3. Also it would be awesome if developers gave out some sort of discount coupons to owners of the Steam versions :/
Maybe one of tomorrow's Valve three announcements will be something along these lines? BELIEVE!

I don't know about you guys, but after being so used to the vita sticks, I went back to playing the PS3 for Tales of Graces f and the sticks on the DS3 feels positively gigantic.

A quick question. If I put the Vita to sleep my PSN profile keeps logged? I usually don't completely turn off the Vita because if faster and more confortable the other way.

You go offline after a few minutes of sleep mode, apparently. I don't turn off my Vita neither unless I know for sure I won't be using it for a while, battery lasts very long on sleep mode so no real reason to turn it off completely, just like a smartphone.

I beat the first chapter of Dragon Fantasy Book 1. This is maybe a bit too much of a homage to Dragon Warrior. Lots of grinding and battles consisting of only attack, heal and attack more.

Final Fantasy XVI will be out before XSEED gets around to Sen no Kiseki.

wai u gotta do dis?!?! BELIEEEVVVVEEEEE!!!!

At least they're localizing TiTS 2nd chapter now..... 8 years after its Japanese release.....

I'm replaying knytt underground, i honestly thought that after some play i would have left it(i don't even use to replay finished games) instead i'm enjoying it again and i have all the intention to finish it again but completing it more(i have already taken some trophies that i missed in the previous play), i really hope for a sequel.

Zhp is awesome too, i usually don't like grinding, but in zhp i do it with pleasure. The level up mechanic is still not completely clear to me(why sometimes it upgrades my stats and most of the time not?) but if you have probems just keep grinding and upgrade the body everytime you can! I hope for a sequel of zhp too!

We all know Squeenix hates money and refuses to localize Type-0. So Falcom/Xseed should capitalize on Squeenix's ignorance and localize this. I'll double dip and buy it on Ps3 as well if its cross-save.

I'm still not sold on it, i can't stand those low tier psp game level of faces, but i admit that the horse riding part is awesome and the graphics in general look good.

I really need Atlus to take my personal needs into consideration and release a P4G-esque Persona 3 Fes on Vita. I don't really care about the viability or the expense. They just need to do it.

... Sega. :(

There's a reason why Sony and Atlus are making Persona 3 movies.

Even with all the fuss about the new screen in the 2000, I can not wait for mine to come. After a long weekend spent in the hospital with a family member and frequent trips to Japan I think the reduced size/weight and longer battery life wi be well worth it.

And form all the videos from tgs, the screen looks pretty damn good.

No way it doesn't happen at some point with the three movies on the horizon. Hopefully it combines P3P and FES's strengths (playable epilogue, cutscenes, and gender choice).

I hope you're right, sir. I honestly think P4G is the top game of my (so far) adult life. I can't recall a game I've played in the last 12 or 13 years that's really moved me quite like it has. Vita would be absolutely irreplaceable in my heart if it had both P3 and P4G.

I just hope they keep the more open exploration of FES, rather than the scroll-based maps of P3P. But, yes, all the extra content from Persona 3 Portable would be hugely appreciated.

our thread has slowed down quite a bit.
I am having difficulty getting into Gravity Rush and... Sly Cooper :/
(maybe cause I am coming into them after KZ:M)

I'm actually looking forward to it as well, hope it gets announced for NA soon.

just focus on one game, leave the other one till you beat the first.

This. I found that both of those were more enjoyable, and quite frankly just easier to grind through, when I wasn't splitting time with other stuff.

And I'll try to keep the thread active with my shameless Persona love. Just started my second playthrough. I was going to take a break, but nothing else really struck my fancy and I'm still kinda obsessed with P4G. Set the difficulty to Very Easy this time, just to have a stress-free story experience. I'm intent on getting the platinum this time. Only need four trophies.

So what's the consensus on the new screen, now that some time has passed since the unveiling?

Do we love it?

Do we hate it?

Do we meh?

It is okay. It just isn't that great a reason for us OG vita owners to upgrade to. This may possibly be a good thong though.

From where do you folks get so much optimism? I want it too :(

Persona 3 FES on Vita would be godly. I would play it so much more than P4G, that's for sure.
