How can Microsoft win back your heart for XB1?

Ok at a worse case scenario for XB1 - PS4 is 50% more powerful.

It's a no brainer...

You have your pre-order booked for Sony.

Your entire house is decorated in Kaz wallpaper.

You go to bed listening to "Slumber with Cerny" audiotapes.

Just what could Microsoft do from now to launch to bring you back into the fold of Xbox?

Dedicated server for all mp games. No lag ever again.

Lagless mp experience will be a bigger draw than better graphics.

More games, more functions that aren't gold locked, better online store.

They were doing a lot of things right, they just...stopped, got stagnant, and let the competition pass them by.

I mean, let's not get it twisted, unless Microsoft does something super terrible like another wave of sweeping hardware failures or what DRM is left gets compromised and Live gets severly hacked, everyone here will probably buy an xbone a few years from now; after the games come out, after the downloadable library is robust, after microsoft does what they need to in order to stay competitive with Steam, Sony and Nintendo.

They just haven't done it YET, which is sort of okay since it's the launch and it's somewhat silly to spend money on a launch system anyway since most of the system sellers are on PC, are multiplat, or aren't terribly interesting, just like every other console launch since the PS2.

They already did when they reversed anti-used games bullshit and online requirements.

I don't care about the past, the present is the present, and right now the Xbone is something I like.

Money hat the world.

CoD, FIFA, Battlefield, Madden, Half Life 3, Uncharted 4, The Last of Us 2. EVERYTHING Xbox One exclusive!

Come on Microsoft, open up that wallet.

Nothing, I'm already getting an Xbox One at launch, but I wouldn't mind a free game and a free year of gold. ;)

They cant. They tried to steal a few grand worth of games from me by blocking my account. Fuck them, and fuck their console.

Nothing. They've tipped their hand and showed us all what their vision of the future holds. They may not implement it today or tomorrow but they'll keep pushing it.

As long as there is an alternative to that, there's nothing they can do.

Nothing...I've been with Sony from the beginning. I do enjoy SOME MS games though, but after the showing they gave this spring...I will probably never own an Xbox again.

After the 360 having been my dominant console for like 5 years I started edging towards Sony when I signed up for Plus, I've been continuing to go their way ever since. It didn't start out with the new console reveals.

Nothing after 360 and seeing the direction of Xb1 this console will be like my lesser consoles only used for exclusive titles when it's demanded. I won't touch the system until the price drops and or I'm at a friends place.

They would make me consider taking my 360 online if everything on the darn console wasn't behind the pay wall of live. I don't mind not paying for MP but when I have to pay to use apps I pay for (netflix) it's not going to happen. Make it worth getting live some other way. You don't give the illusion of value by putting apps behind it.

Instill confidence in me that they actually have a vision for this thing. At the moment I have zero confidence in them since it appears that they're making it all up as they go along. I think they thought they could coast on the success of the 360. How wrong they were. The continued use of the paywall for every damn thing is also a huge reason why they won't be my primary console. The arrogance of sticking with that in the face of a competitor that isn't speaks to a level of arrogance that's hard to fathom. Newsflash, Microsoft, many of us were looking for a reason to ditch XBL's paywall, and now we have it.

absolutely nothing. Only way I'd ever even bother with the Xbone is if it came into my possession for free. and even then I'd still probably just sell it.

They already did with Dead Rising, Forza, and the promise of at least a dozen or so other good exclusives throughout its life, but I have to say that it still bugs the hell out of me that I will have a Kinect I don't want, and given that I will have it anyways, it bugs me even more that there's basically zero compelling software for it available when I will buy the system.

I was planning to be a one console owner for next gen, being a PC gamer at heart now.

Sony had me at PS+, Vita and now PS4.

The battle was won way before XBO was even announced. So yea, there's very little they can do to turn me over.

I honestly just want a focus on games, I truly hope the Forza fiasco is nothing or all I'm picking up besides crimson dragon in November is Dead rising 3.

:/ weak

This. They didn't just burn a bridge, they nuked it from orbit.

This pretty much for me. They just showed their true colors these past few years by doing everything possible to make a consumer like me angry. Ads all over the fucking dashboard, a huge emphasis on the shitty kinect games and features, avatars which are a monetized more cooperate version of the Nintendo's Miis, and then the bull shit they tried to pull with xbox one, before they took it all back. They are not pro consumer in any sense, and the type of games they're peddling to not appeal to me in the slightest. This is coming from a guy who was very pro Xbox original, and slept outside a best buy to get my xbox 360.
