So, Reggie as playable today?
Cyborg Vince Carter assist, chaos dunk final smash, it writes itself
I would love Reggie as a character too.
If ever get a non-Nintendo, non-originally-from-a-game character, it will be Mickey Mouse.
ROB was the reason nes got the attention it did though. You got to remember when Nintendo were to be reviving the game industry they had to stay away from the depiction of video games as games. US was just about burnt out on them. They had to market the nes as a toy hence rob.You really think ROB was the reason the NES took off? Why did he only get two games if he was so popular? Why was the bundle with ROB only produced for a limited amount of time? ROB may of gotten some attention before the NES launched but he wasn't the reason the NES was so popular.
ROB really isn't featured in Nintendo games, he usually just has small cameos aside from being a playable character in Smash.
Batman has had more games on Nintendo systems alone then the number of games a lot of Smash characters have appeared in.
I still haven't really seen an argument for why Batman wouldn't be a good character for Smash other then "LOL he is a comic character". You guys shouldn't be so closed minded when he would be a great third party character.
oh god that remix is nasty lolbringing the slammin and jammin to smash
I'd say Popeye. That's what donkey kong was originally gonna be about.
That would be turrible.

Are some people here seriously arguing that Batman would make a good addition to Smash Bros?

No, lol. Superman should be in it though. In order to fight Goku. Are some people here seriously arguing that Batman would make a good addition to Smash Bros?

.You guys are suggesting some weird ass fighters, lol.
C'mon, clearly Shrek should be in.
Didn't Nintendo publish some Hamtaro GBA games?
Hamtaro confirmed.
[Awkward Zombie strip]
Actually, screw all those choices. You know who would be THE. BEST. CHARACTER for smash? This lady in the banner ad that popped up on while I was writing this post:![]()
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTOT, but those Hamtaro games were surprisingly good. I played them for a cousin and they're decent adventure games.

...What? She makes about as much sense as some of the roster choices I've seen around the web. (Someone wanted Sabrina the gym leader in of all people.)

Ok fine Ill give you that. But honestly since you like to type give me your real honest opinion on my personal feelings of wanting scooby doo in smash. He might be a really fun character to play as imo.Yeah that's what I posted. But ROB isn't the reason people bought the NES, I think that was more because of Mario Brothers and Duck Hunt. ROB was just the thing that got retailers to stock it and got some attention for the system before it came out.
It seems like some people can't actually post an argument against it besides posting animated gifs.
I still haven't seen a single argument against why he shouldn't be a character besides that he was created long before videogames existed, but why should that exclude a character that has a long history of videogames and would make for an excellent fighting game character, especially in this type of fighting game.
Like I've posted before Batman has had a lot more games on Nintendo platforms then Snake, and a lot more games on Nintendo platforms then some of the other characters in Smash.

edit:had change o mind
I meanseriously he has been on many great ninty platforms:

lolScooby Doo? And we thought Yoshi was stoned.
Honestly if you had one onone with sakurai and you told him you want him to include batman what do you think would happen?Good arguments for Sackboy and Scooby Doo there.
As I posted on the previous page the fact that Batman has been on many games on Nintendo consoles is just one of many reasons as to why I think he would make a good third party Smash character.
Honestly if you had one onone with sakurai and you told him you want him to include batman what do you think would happen?
Batman wouldn't work in Smash. The long development cycles for video games mean he would have enough prep time to become more overpowered than 100 Metaknights.
SmashGAF is weird today.
How am I supposed to know? Maybe he would love the idea, maybe he would hate it, maybe he would be indifferent. Neither of us know the answer to that question.Honestly if you had one onone with sakurai and you told him you want him to include batman what do you think would happen?
What points? I think you can do that for anything, ninja turtles, power rangers, powerpuff girls, superman, buffalo wild wings. It really dont make a whole lost of sense. I think you are serious, but this could easily be the best troll in history of the internet. How am I supposed to know? Your arguments about Scooby Doo and Sackboy and what would Sakurai think don't really seem to be addressing any of my points.
Because Batman didn't originate from a game, he's a comic book character. Just because he's had a couple of games on the SNES doesn't make a him worthy of a character, its not like his games helped bring out the system either.
There's nothing for him, his games weren't all that great, and he doesn't fall into any category of how a character can get in.
He would not fit in this game at all, and I don't see he could even be properly represented. Besides he already in a fighting game, that's more his style.
Oh, and it would be complete crap for Batman to take a spot, from a very much deserving third-party character.

ROB is basically a toy that connects to the NES and yet he is a Smash Character.
Batman wasn't originally a videogame character yet he's appeared in over 25 videogames on Nintendo platforms over the years, and that's not including games like Injustice, Justice League or the new Scribblenauts game where he's appeared in but wasn't the main character. That's way more games on Nintendo platforms then Snake/Metal Gear Solid has had.
He's also in a extremely popular and critically acclaimed game series, one of which has already appeared on the Wii U, 2 more are going to appear on the Wii U and 3DS next month. The Arkham games are also one of the few major 3rd party games on the Wii U and WB is one of the few major third parties still supporting Wii U.
Batman also has a huge fan base and is well known worldwide. Some of his fanbase who normally wouldn't buy the game otherwise would probably buy Smash just because he was in the game.
Batman would also work as a great character for Smash. He is a combat focused character and has a lot of gadgets that can be used as B moves.
Just because a character was created before videogames existed doesn't mean they should automatically be disqualified from Smash, especially when the character has a long history with Videogames, especially such a long history on Nintendo platforms.
Edit: I also forgot that he has a great gallery of supporting characters that could be used as assist trophies and plenty of locations that could be used as stages.
WayForward wants My Little Pony in Smash Bros.

Well great, yea he might be a great fit for smash bros. The whole playstation battle royal crew might be a great fit for smash bros. Theres no way in hell they're getting in though. Then the history of batman on games and all that it really dont add up at all. We dont even got characters like pirahna plant i the game. Know how many games thats been in?Of course I'm serious.
As I originally posted on the last page:
Like I also posted on the last page I don't think he'll ever make it in, but I still think he would be a great fit for Smash for the reasons I posted above.
