Namco isn't localising any Tales game and Type-0 comes after those in terms of requested games so hopefully it's that.
The game has also been translated and is just sitting there so hopefully they up the resolution and tidy it up for the Vita

It's already out in Japan so why not find out the reception for the game from the Japanese guys who've played it or those who imported it.

I've heard a lot of people say it's the best FF this gen so that's what makes me hyped.
The fact that SE did well on PSP with Crisis Core and Dissidia also helps too.
 
Pretty sure Type O is finally coming after those recent interviews

Many of the stuff he has worked on tends to be smaller scale developments but he did specify that its been heavily requested

I would say that its something that falls in both camps
 
Not to rain on any parades but "proposing a deal" and "might have good news soon" suggests absolutely nothing is locked, and that Shahid is trying to get something. Now if that tweet said "finalizing a deal" that would be pretty hype worthy, imo.

The best recent final fantasy(tbh not an hard task considering ffxiii games...) and probably it's in a good position in the list of the best final fantasy games.

On home consoles square enix made mediocre games but on psp square made some very good games like type 0, dissidia, crisis core, kingdom hearts:bbs etc.

Ehh, I'm not sure I agree that the recent console FF games have been worse than the portable spinoffs.

I don't think Type 0 will get ported because, for starters, it's an old game and will require being rebuilt from the ground up for Vita hardware, and Square Enix already has a Final Fantasy game for Vita down the pipeline.
 
By "Vita games" is he only referring to Vita games or is he including PSP games as well ? If he's talking about both Vita and PSP games, then I hope it's Type-0. If he's only talking about Vita proper, then it might be Phantasy Star Online 2.

I don't disagree; but we're not the only people out there who'd want such a product. Just as there are some people who can't stand pixel styles, and demand 3D remakes so they can stand playing the games, the same can be said for blurry, chunky 3D models with crappy textures, running in non-HD resolutions.

There's almost no doubt that it'd be the Final Fantasy Remake that would generate the most revenue for Squeenix.

WHY IS THIS NOT HERE. I'm getting some FFVIII vibes from this. It looks so good.
 
If it's Type-0 in any form (like, proper Type-0 and not a version of the iOS/Android game) then I'd be beyond hyped.

It's not going to be that though. I've set my expectation very low. It'll probably be another indie game port (though not a bad thing at all, just not up to the hype the tweet seems to be going for).

Haha, sure...I can only dream it's true but I'm not even that optimistic.

And Type-0 isn't that old it's what, 3 years old?

I honestly don't expect anything. This isn't finalising the deal, just proposing one. Who knows many weeks or months it'll get for something, if anything, to come out of it.
 
Why the hell would Sega bring over the Vita version of PSO2 and not the PC version?

Anyway, I think this might be a previously unannounced port, like a port of an existing console game (like when Borderlands 2 Vita got announced). Maybe an indie game, maybe a traditional retail game. FTL would indeed be cool though.

According to import impressions Type-0 is apparently actually decent.
 
I'd love to believe it's Type-0 but I highly doubt it. Most likely another indie and at best, Phantasy Star (which isn't to say it's a bad choice!)

Do you really think any FF info would come from Shahid anyway? Don't think so.

If it is Type-0. Well, damn. I'll buy two!

First I've heard of this. Source?

Tabata said in a recent interview that it's pretty much done and is coming. His wording was pretty clear that Type-0 was being released.
 
If FFType-0 is announced - I know what I'll be buying as my first Vita game when I get a Vita.

(Hopefully it works with Vita TV)
