I didn't realize Selina Kyle was sitting with him until just now.

I kind of wish they'd announce a reboot with JGL in preparation for the JL movie just so I could see gaf's reaction lol. It'd be glorious!

edit: oops, I thought this was the OT 2. sorry.

Sunhi or anyone else have a full collection of all the amazing gifs you made for this thread?

This is what I get for posting at night. Sorry guys. I forgot to look at the last post time.

Man TDKR wasn't even that good. Wonder if the biggest hyped people for it have come to terms with what it really is. Hindsight being 20/20 and all.

This is really weird to me. I mean, setting aside even things like writing and pacing TDKR just is a complete nosedive from the first two in terms of editing and cinematography.

It has the best opening 20 min of the trilogy, and the last 2 min are some of the best exposition in cinematic history. I kid you not. I think it will be studied in college classrooms 20 years from now.

Its the most re-watchable. I watched TDK recently, and man there its just boated. For example the whole two boats blowing up each other dragged on and on, I always fast forward this portion. TDKR I never wanted to end.

The best opening 20 minutes I will grant you, but the middle of TDKR is inexcusable IMO. The boat scene in TDK may have dragged a bit but the part where TDKR cuts back and forth between Wayne in the pit and JGL and friends doing...some kind of revolutionary thing in anarchic Gotham that isn't clearly expressed both dragged and was structured and shot in a way that completely stripped any sense of place or time from the events I was witnessing. This is something I noticed on my first viewing as well.

Movie should've ended after Bane broke Batman and destroyed Gotham.

Ok, maybe it didn't need to end at that point, but it was definitely after that point that the movie fell apart completely.

Such a shame that the trilogy went out like that.

Yeah, such a shame it went out with the best ending in the trilogy.

The ending isn't a major gripe of mine but it did kind of bother me that the "gritty" Batman trilogy that was all about death and hard choices and stuff decided to end by letting Bruce have his cake and eat it too.

I often wonder if Nolan's creative freedom had been undermined by the execs at any point in the last movie

While I didn't mind the ending it was a bit safer than what I would expect from him considering some of his other work like Memento

I doubt the execs would like Batman Dies as a headline ever (although I'm sure it's happened in a comic before)
