Don't like Galaxy, But Xperia are horrible (Ultra Z is just laughably huge)

so Kaz need to fix his stuff if hey want people to buy them.

Recent Xperia phones are great, and hampered by the screen's lack of contrast and bad viewing angles. Some of the best built phones on the market, though, and a pretty light skin over stock.

What phone do you use?

So I finished Dragon's Crown Inferno solo and got the
Three Goddess artwork.

Umm... How easy is it to get the 100,000 damage Trophy in Dragon's Crown?

Is it doable without going 99 floors of LoC?

Or just Lv65 Hard Mode Wizard with Fire Gate + Lv3 MaxMP Charge + Power Liqeuor L + Meteo Swarm? And maybe a rod with "Damage +4/5% per Consecutive Use of Same Magic" for a good 40~50% boost. (Sorry, playing the JP version, dunno the eng. name).

If I ever go LoC, I'd probably do it with a Sorceress. Though I can see myself stopping at ~20-ish.

Honestly, I would have tried 99 floors of LoC if not for the damned fact that I'm going to face Raise and Archdemon here and there. Especially Raise. If only Protect stops you from being hugged by those zombies... For some weird reason, these two became relatively much harder than other bosses did at higher difficulty. I can solo Inferno Archdemon, but for some reason, it seems he became really sturdy. I didn't even think twice about bringing 3 NPCs to Inferno Raise just so I have meatshields/decoys.

Also, add Assassin to the mix (the pirate with red blade). That mob is so unfun.

And yeah, I only play solo, too, due to reasons.

I like the look of the Xperia Z phones a lot. I used to be strictly Sony/Ericsson up until I got an Xperia mini (first Android phone). They were really bad about updating it, and it was annoying to root/customize. Maybe they are better now, but I'm pretty happy with N4.

If I could get Velocity Ultra, Super Stardust Delta or Pixeljunk Monsters Ultimate HD which should I get?

I haven't played any previous version of them.

I'm having a way easier time in Shin Megami Tensei IV than I am in Persona 4G.

Probably my constant savescumming. No saving in P4G dungeons and lack of free grind time makes P4G really brutal..maybe I'm just bad at it.

Hey gaf, I need a little input on Dragon's Crown before I shell out 40 bucks for it. It looks like fun, but I'm worried about how much content there actually is. From what I've heard the game only actually has 7 levels that you just play over and over and gather more loot from. I'm just not sure if its actually worth full price or if its better to wait at this point.

Is there still an online presence for the Vita version at least?

There is a 4 player-online mode where you play with 3 other people on one of those levels. Since it has yet to be released here where live, there are only about 2-3 players each time I play it. The 7 levels can be quite fun, but I understand that some may find it repetitive.

I recommend it only if you are into looting, grinding or just loves to whack enemies around for pure fun.

FYI Kickstarter doesn't allow back-tracking from a pledge in the final 48 hours.
Unless they've changed their terms recently, you're free to withdraw your pledge right until the end. The sole limitation to this during the final 48 hours is that if the project is funded, you cannot reduce your pledge if you would move the project back into an unfunded state.

Nine levels. Worth it at full price if the combat clicks for you.

The online community goes from decently sized to small every time the game puts out a new patch. Atlus USA takes a really long time to localize them so the Japanese players get removed from the pool, being a patch ahead.

Because it's shady as fuck to ask for an extra million to get a port to handhelds? Especially after they made statements that they were looking into ways to do it outside of the stretch goals -- plus if he doesn't want it on other platforms, there's no reason to give them $15 now when he can just play a wait and see to see if it's eventually released for Vita after all.

I'm really hoping for cross-buy on this one and a release window SOON.

Was it confirmed that Shahid was talking about Mighty No. 9's adding a stretch goal with his "megaton"? That doesn't seem likely...

Ya man. Start from 5:08 of his presentation. I'm pretty sure he equated megaton with the Vita stretch goal.

Imo velocity ultra is a little overrated, i would suggest you super stardust delta, but i dunno about pjmu.

I was referring to the Galaxy Note 3 purchase.

It was released outside of Spain, but it doesn't seem to have gotten much play outside of Europe so it'll probably be an EU exclusive.

Thanks.

I really love the Xperia Z look. It's my favorite phone in the market right now. It's really sexy, waterproof is nice for singing in the shower while listening music xD and i'm not going to play a lot in it, so I don't care if the screen has some weird angles. I just use my phone for browsing, Whatsapp, some Youtube and little more.

For most games (and emulation), my OG Nexus 7 is more than enough. Low/mid-end phones usually hold back the Android ecosystem (and I only like touch-screen controls from puzzles and that kind of stuff, so graphics aren't that important.

I'm kind of surprised we haven't seen a Doom port on the Vita yet, it's basically everywhere else. I'd totally day 1 an Ultimate/2/Final/Master Levels collection.

It's the best loot-based RPG on the Vita... although that's not saying much. Definitely worth full price though.

There aren't 99 floors of Labyrinth of Chaos, as I understand it. There's 25. Each level has 3 sections for 8 floors. After 8-3, there is only the Demon Lord, so level 9-1 is singular. 3 floors become available after beating normal, 3 after beating hard, 3 after beating infernal. i currently have floors 1-6 done but cannot access 7-9 because I'm waiting to finish my Infernal run so I can kill the final boss in under 4 minutes on the first try. I like the game but I have NO desire to have to go get 9 infernal talismans again, even if I have to grind to get to level 99.

I have a level 90 sorceress and the legendary strike trophy looks out of reach for me. The only character that you can use regular attacks with to get it is the wizard -- I think with the new patch to keep charging his magic after his MP are full + the meteor spell + a bunch of damage to objects then attack a crate is the preferred method. Every other class, save the sorceress, is supposed to be able to use a bomb on a crate to get it.

Here's the text on the trophy guide for the wizard and 100k damage:
Wizard Method
In order to dish out over 100,000 damage in a single attack as a Wizard, you will need to level up the Meteor Storm ability to level 3 (max rank). After you do you will also need to reach somewhere around level 80+, as well as acquire a large deal of Increased Damage to Objects—like the suit that I am wearing in the video. You can do it with increased damage to just about anything, but objects is by far the easiest to do the trophy with.

Once you have a full suit of increased damage gear and a weapon with a lot of bonus damage, equip it all along with a Strength Drought potion.

Now head out of the gate into the Illusionary Lands where the Ancient Dragon is. There will ALWAYS be a pile of bones and a crate at the entrance. Walk over to the crate and use the Strength Drought potion, then cast Meteor Storm on top of the crate. It should do over 100,000 damage if you've stacked enough + damage.

The online can be a bit wonky sometimes, but usually I can connect to random games... it's what I've been doing to grind my sorceress to 99.

There are 9 maps.
Each map has a branch point, and from there, there are different paths through the level to one of two bosses.
There is also the Labyrinth of Chaos, which randomizes everything. I'm surprised I can't find people to join me online for that one -- that's the most fun place there is because of the randomization. And the fact that the enemies keep getting harder the deeper you go.

It's the best loot-based RPG on the Vita... although that's not saying much. Definitely worth full price though.

It's kind of an Action-RPG, I guess, but not really. It's more of a loot-based brawler... and it's fantastic. Even with the slowdown issues.

I thought a port was announced?

Just finished Real Boxing.

Game isn't as deep as fight night but it was shockingly solid considering it came from a mobile dev originally.

Can't make myself play more of dragon's crown. Really regret the purchase. The combat is just so repetitive and mashy for me, and the whole screen is such a clusterfuck once you get past 2 characters. The loot is boring, the non boss enemies are boring, and most of the non boss monsters can be beated by closing your eyes and smashing buttons for a bit. Revisiting the same dungeons over and over isn't my cup of tea either.

By far my most regretted vita purchase.

That would be sweet. Apparently Duke 3D is coming to Vita. Those old shooters are fun, on any platform. Doom is great for pick and play. Perfect for handheld.

Duke is what made me think about it. I still play the Doom games to this day. Scouring around the web it seems like Carmack isn't too eager to support the Vita because of low adoption rates. That was for Doom 3 though, which I don't really care about (the game is great but I think it would lose a lot of impact playing on a smaller screen). The OG Doom games are perfect pick up and play games though.

Doom 3 bfg has doom 1 & 2 included.

I finally cracked today and bought a Vita. In the end I couldn't resist the 10 games with a card deal along with a bunch of nectar credit I had.

Looks like it's time to get back on PS+.

Yep, it's time to do it. Play Gravity Rush, dude, it has some flaws but it really is a charming and special game.

I've just seen i'm not a Junior anymore. I'm a weirdo for being happy? xD

EU-VitaBros, can you tell me, where I can buy a cheap 64 GB Memory Card and what I should think off, when I import it from Japan?

Never bought a game or a gaming accessoire from outside of europe, so I am not familiar what I have to to or how much taxes I should calculate in^^

I know, I have it. It also lacks Final Doom and the master levels though. The old games don't have to come packaged with Doom 3, and PSN has Doom classic complete for PS3 already.

Edit: It's also the 20th anniversary for Dooms release in December, what a perfect opportunity!

I ordered mine from Play Asia. Not exactly cheap but I don't think you will find one for much less until they get released around the world.

Eh, I cannot answer your question but isn't it better to wait for scee to release the 64gb card in Europe? I doubt the wait will be that long and you'll probably pay a premium for importing from Asia.

Hey guys can you give me hints for katamari? I'm at the "rich" katamari, i need a 1 meter katamari but i arrive to 60 centimeters :\

Yeah, but there were some japanese traders with prices around 70€, wich is about the same price as a 32 GB here in germany.

I dont know, how much additional money I would habe to give away for things like taxes, but I doubt that the 64 GB Cards will be around these 70€ when they come to europe.

I hoped that someone with more experience in importing stuff had an idea, how much I should calculate for an import.

Super Stardust Delta x 1000000

Listen to this man. He's right x 100000000000000.

It's not really that expensive. And who knows when SCEE will release the card -- in all the talk since the reveal, Sony has made NO statement on whether they even plan on bringing the card (and Vita TV) to other regions at this time. I have a pre-order with nippon-yasan.com -- I don't know if I'll keep it, but I'm thinking about it. Get the extra space and be done with it... it's a little more complex for me cause I have to figure our what to do with my 32gb -- and I'm not sure if I want to sell it or keep it for a Vita TV at this point.

Anyway, I don't know if it's better if he's looking to upgrade memory cards and would like a 64gb but it's not available where he is. It never hurts to look into the cost.

Hey guys can you give me hints for katamari? I'm at the "rich" katamari, i need a 1 meter katamari but i arrive to 60 centimeters :\

Since I just finished Dragon's Crown on Infernal and got my The Destroyer trophy, I will load up Katamari and check for you. Stay tuned. :P

Make it Big 4: Rich, right?

Edit: Ok, just dusted off Katamari and took a crack at it... ended up with 1m 23cm 5 mm with 134 rich collected (4 star).

I think it's more general tips I'm about to give here, as there's not a specific strategy I can find for this level or a key tactic.
In general, with this game, it pays to exploit the stretch out mechanic. So first thing as soon as you start, pull your katamari to make it flat and wide. Then roll around and pick stuff up. Move in circles where you can see things that look like you're big enough. Stay on the desk for a bit then work down to the floor -- when the king tells you to go outside (20cm?) take another sweep to get some extra stuff... then roll out. If you see something that would benefit you from changing shapes to normal or tall/thin, do it (example, in section 3, there's a gap between counter and fridge with a tall stack of items; or fitting on the side of the house between the house and the fence once you're big enough). From there, just keep applying the strategy of being wide and low most of the time with the L and R shoulder buttons for jump and quick turn. If things look like there's nothing available, try working your way up on top of something.

Part of it is learning where some of the things are in the level and figuring out where you like to go. Part of it is learning to judge whether or not you can pick something up and how much you need to head for the next cluster of slightly larger objects. And part of it is learning to exploit the moves I mentioned above to get around more quickly.

Good luck.

Wow. They sold out of Vita TV. Maybe I should've just bought one. :\

Not at all! I was upgraded from the Junior status about 2~3 weeks back, 'tis a great feeling! Congrats!

:D I feel ya on the Vita TV....I really want one as well, but I waffled too long :| Mayhaps if/when they restock after launch. I realllllly want one of those beautiful little things...

But back to Super Stardust Delta, it's really a fantastic game. It was my first digital game on my Vita, (thanks to AT&T from the launch promotion), and it's predecessor was the first digital PSN game I bought for PS3. I would have easily paid 20+ for SSD though, it's fantastic. It will forever be on my memory card. I still have yet to get a friend on my list to beat any of my scores :D

When I get a 64gb card, I will probably reinstall it.

Are we draggin' crayons any time soon? My 91 sorceress needs some help with the LoC.

You better! Yea we could rock some out tonight if you are free. My work schedule got all jacked up due to a music fest I had to participate in, but I should be available around 830pm tonight or so. Hopefully my Sorc will be mid to high 80's by then, trying to slam out as much as I can on my breaks. Think I'm on my 5th or 6th chain dungeon right meow, started around 81 I believe..

My 1.39 million score never uploaded but I just got 1.36 million which uploaded. I didn't go to the mother ship because I didn't have a gun. Those extra 2 levels could have easily given me the boost I needed to beat 1.47 million.

Officially number 4 now. Number one will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.

Going on a plane to go across the pacific and visit family tonight. Now will be the time I finally start Virtue's Last Reward

The framerate on Sly isn't the best when in the open world sections which is a shame but it's playable.

I envy you, bro! Make sure you bring your headphones, and I assume you have already played 999? (Sorry if you already said that, may have missed it)
