NBA 2K14 First Look on PS4 Coming Monday

Saying Madden lacks detail and quality reads like a scorned NFL2K player who has yet to get over the NFL shopping their license to the competitor. Madden has lacked on innovation over the years for obvious reasons but is certainly a quality game.

As for NBA2K next-gen, can't wait to see some substantial information on it (and possibly NBA Live tomorrow as well). I'm getting one or the other at next-gen launch, I'm ready to see what they bring to the table. I'm fearful that NBA2K will just be an up-rez of the current gen, if so, I've played it before and will skip it.

I'm excited to see the reveal. Even more, I'm excited to see Madden; though, I'm not sure what I'm expecting. I'm guessing it will be the solid gameplay with slightly upgraded graphics. I don't think there will be a true next-gen jump for Madden until '15.
 
Looking forward to it.

A bit sad though that NBA Live 14 5-on-5 next gen gameplay footage will come out AFTER NBA 2K14. Especially since the former isn't coming out on current gen so there was really no reason to hold back (unless the game has major problems). Missed opportunity.

ever since 2k10, there has been minimal improvements to the game year after year. granted, it is tough to add things on a 7-month dev cycle, but still that is $60 a year. so 2k gets less than half the normal dev time for a game, and they get to charge $60 more times than a regular dev team as well.

You mean 2k11 right? 2k11 was a huge improvement over the cheese fest that was 2k10. GAF league was terrible that season. 2k10 was real arcadey and everyone went after guys with high tendencies instead of ratings because of the huge effect it those had on player abilities. That game also had the most ridiculous dunking system. People were dunking in traffic like crazy. VC 360 dunk in traffic > you.

What!?!

NBA 2k11 was an amazing game but was hampered by being so animation heavy that you lost control of your player too much. 2k12 corrected most of those problems and played a much smoother game of basketball. And the 2k13 revamped the entire shooting and dribbling mechanics by taking one off the right stick and moving the other on there. The games play very differently from each other. The only thing they have in common is that all three suck online.
 
Has EA hinted at when they're going to blow the lid on Madden and Fifa? November is coming up fast!

Looking forward to seeing this, sports games have really been incredible the past few years and I'm really excited to see what next gen might bring. Hopefully it's early morning rather than later tonight.
 
I guess they want to release the current gen version first and not lose sales. They want people to buy the current gen and then see the next gen and then buy that too.
