It is just missing a sale. C'mon Sony. I am ready to throw down 50 bucks. Just give me a sale~
iOS is getting a Knack game. RIP PlayStation Mobile, RIP Vita http://www.computerandvideogames.com/431912/sony-to-release-free-knack-ios-puzzle-game/
Not even Xperia owners get to play this... Backwards ass Sony
I am loving Killzone on the Vita. Excellent game play and awesome graphics for a handheld.
If you are on the fence about the vita, just buy it as at the new price point it's worth every penny.
Yoshida never said the plataforms. CVG ripped off from the interview and made up stuff to go with it.
We just need to reprogram his reading comprehension. Simple task.iOS not even mentioned... they never say a specific platform AT ALL.
I wish I could stop Takao with an ignore, but he usually posts news about the platform.
Maybe one of the biggest knocks I can give toward FFX is the fact that even his so-called friends, his father, his mentor, and the goddamn love of his life never refers to Tidus with his nameJust you, him, or he. So bloody silly

If I have to rank 'em:
FFVIII, FFIX, FFX, FFVII, FFX-2 FFVI, FFV, FFXIII, FFI-III, FFXII, FFIV.
Only Co-op, not Co-op campaign in that there is no campaign specifically made for cooperative players.
There is no cross play (stupidly) available between PS3 and Vita.
Was reading about OLED displays in general and come across few downsides of the technology.
First was the "mura" effect, which on my Vita isn't that much of an issue. Saw the spots while playing Stealth inc last night in a dark room, but there are only few spots in the upper left and lower right corners on the screen. Kinda freaked me out, until I googled and found out it was "normal". ^^
While on the "mura" effect, there are few threads (one here, in gaf actually) about burn-ins on the display. Because this is my first device with OLED screen and I've never had plasma displays, can someone give me some advices on how to prevent such burn-ins. I know not to have static image for long periods of time, but other things like should brightness be all the way down/up, color of the background etc. Heard that the blue color is also problematic due to shorter lifespan, and everything (by default) in the vita is blue - the background, the icons, the buttons, even the psn.Kinda scary.
Local GameStop has those old bundles that include a year of Plus for $199 which is a great deal. Was very tempted but this whole burn in issue with the screen and the price of the memory cards is too worrying to me to pull the trigger.
The demo units I've seen are an absolute mess in regards to some hard core burn in.
I'm already a big time 3DS user (70+ game collection) but I am also a portable gaming whore....hehe
the vita has a dimmer that kicks in after a short time of inactivity.
i've played my vita a ton and haven't experienced anything like burn-in
I wish there was a setting for that auto-dim feature. It's so annoying when I'm watching a cutscene in a game or going through long portions of dialogue.
im almost positive you can lengthen the time it takes to kick in
but i'm fairly certain you also can't just turn it off
LOL, Sen no Kiseki's Vita version outsold the PS3 version on the first week. And it's a significant amount.
They should reduce that loading time by the time I get to Sen. Which from the looks of things would be around around the start of next year. T__T
I'm personally fine with ~15-ish load times, but 30 is a long one. :/
I'm not surprised at the burn-in of the demo units since they probably lack decent screen savers (if any at all). Hell, almost all the Samsung phones we have on display at work have massive burn-in, but my phone is perfectly fine even with heavy use.
Honestly, after the burn in on my Galaxy Nexus after not even two years of use, I am pretty much done with OLED on a device that uses a lot of static imagery. A phone is one thing, but a portable device that I would plan to keep...well...forever? My OCD would go into fits of craze that would be legendary in proportion.
Besides, I need to just keep reminding myself of my backlog and move on. I don't need another system.....so freaking tempting though.![]()
get the LCD ones for the Vita 2000

Same here. It'd be nice if the same lighting principle that applies to YouTube and video content would apply to games.
*bit of a poncy way to put it but you get the gist
Seriously in NA, what the fuck is up with The Spryo, Crash Bandicoot PS1 games for vita?
I mean what the fuck is taking soo fucking long b. It's like Sony stopped, this is fucking bullshit man.
Why the fuck isn't there more PS one classics on PSN for vita, can't someone here with twitter ask yoshida what's up with that? I MEAN CMON MAN!

Actually, I find it to be refreshing.
But of course, they have to "ruin" it with stories about magical overlords screwing around with fates. Ahhh if only they just stuck with political stuff.... (my same disappointment with FFT)
Oh boy, I certainly hope that this reads right to left in terms of preference. I love me some FFIV.
wow
you're really passionate about your PS1 games
lol

Hmpf, New Little King's Story (thanks PS+) has some serious slowdown. Barely playable. :/

Nah its just that it sucks like real bad.
I mean cmon man the hell are they doing???!!!
Someone with twitter need to ask Yoshida what the fuck is up!!!!!!
GameStop has Rayman Legends (vita) for $29 & $24 new and used, respectively. Console versions received an even steeper discount. Crazy. I remember getting Origins for 20 a little after its release, but who would've guessed this one would depreciate so quickly.
In this case, the answer is already known. The games are owned by Activision, and they refused to put those games on the vita. Confirmed by a gaf insider, famousmortimer I believe.

How come its playable for VITA owners in the UK with UK psn accounts or in Japan? Last time I heard.
if not then fuck activision.
God damnnit Naughty Dog and Insomiac fucked up by letting these franchises go to shitty activision

It's playable still but it is seriously unoptimised.
Never felt that bad to me outside of the town/hub area, where I didn't really need it.
