I wonder where police officers fall in the application and punishment in the eyes of the law. Ideally, an officer would constantly uphold the law and never cross it but cops are humans too and are bound to make mistakes, that's fine. What gets me is whether an officer should be subjected to more strict punishments since they are granted more power than a citizen. A police officer has the right to harass, violently attack, and kill if there is reason so where is the added responsibility for such powers? Even class B license holders are subject to twice the price of moving violations even if they're in their own vehicle.

Pretty sure there was no description in this case. The cop is very careful to say "How do you know we didn't get a description..." over and over again to counter the guy's statement of having not done anything. Never says they actually got a description of anyone doing anything.

I've even been chased at 100mph plus after one tried to run me off the road one night. He never turned on his lights, never used his siren. It wasn't until I was in my driveway waiting on him to catch up, had a ball bat ready to start swinging, that I realized it was an officer. I was too young and dumb to understand he was in violation of the law and my rights. Needless to say he was extra polite and left as quick as he could.

I could understand him possibly being afraid of retaliation, especially if douchbag cops like that are in his area frequently. However, I'd still go ahead and release it to the news if it was me. Cops like this are typically the ones that are praised and given awards from their bravery, when they're usually cowards and bullies of the greatest degree.

If they aren't exposed for the scum they are, they'll continue to get away with it and get even more brazen each time, so I feel it would be worth the risk just to expose them for what they are.
