Feeling pretty good about my choice of Chespin upon finally seeing the final form.

Froakie is looking good, too.

Fennekin... not a huge fan.

People are "assuming" that its arms look shit.

And they're right.

Armguards. Knights need to have them!

Never thought I'd see the day where I'd choose the water starter... Gen V was the first time I didn't choose fire, Emboar just looked to stupid. This time, dat tongue cape!!

Err not really. These stores broke the street date established by their deal. They went directly after the store responsible for the mess, not the fan. Nintendo gotta protect their bottom line.
Selling a game early hurts their bottom line how?

If the guy bought the game early, legally, Nintendo has no right. Sure, whatever deal they had with the vendor could be void, but this guy did nothing wrong.

If people loves your games so much that they are looking for copies before the official release date then let them be, Nintendo.

There is absolutely no harm in some stores breaking the release date.

Seeing how they wanted to keep Charizard X a secret until pokemon origins aired. It's something like that. Pokemon reveals are suposed to be special as well as legendaries. Having a single version out there spaming shit on the internet ruins their marketing plans :P

Nintendo is going a little overboard imo. They should have expected that by early shipping one of the most anticipated titles of the year to stores across the world, that there would inevitably be some leaks. If they wanted to avoid leaks, they shouldn't have shipped until the week of release. On top of this, it's just dedicated fans that are eager to show other fans what new Pokes are out there and to be excited about. It's not like the game is being pirated/leaked onto the internet (That I know of) and ruining actual revenue for them.

Hell, if anything, this is just getting more people hyped, which would lead to more publicity/sales for them. They really need to calm down, coming down on the very fans that love and purchase their games is not the right way to go about things.

Pretty sad that this kind of thing happens. I get early releases a lot and it never caused issues like that.

Were any of those games as big as a new Pokemon game? Because it doesn't get much bigger release wise than the simultaneous world wide release of a Pokemon game.

Not really sure what would count as a signature move. But added what I guess they would be in bold.

A move that they use a lot that was introduced in the same generation as they were. Also seems to constantly be associated with that Pokemon. Gen III was the easiest to get.

Anyways, thanks for that - though I don't feel like Heat Stamp was Emboar's signature move.

Fake edit: Whoops - you're right. A quick trip to Bulbapedia lists Heat Crash as it's signature move. Plus it makes sense as it seems to have a wrestling motif.

Chesnaught should be called the hard body pokemon.

Dex entry should read: the hard body pokemon knocking any nigga back.

Yeah, but it is also up to the stores to remain honest, and not leak the game almost TWO WEEKS early.

Staryu is in here right? Need that Starmie on my team.

And real talk, you use more than one legendary on your team and you're a pokebitch who can't actually battle worth shit.

Seeing how their are non-legendaries that can slap around half the legendaries like nothing... yeah I have no idea what you are talking about.

They really don't have anyone but themselves to blame for that situation. Pokemon is one of the top selling franchises of all time, and X/Y is one of the biggest releases of the year. They should have known better than to ship more than two weeks early, especially to "Mom and Pop" stores than are far less likely to wait to street date, as opposed to larger retailers where things are more restricted.

Also, like I said, it's not the fans who happened to get a hold of the games early that should be penalized in any way. They're just excited to see what's in the game and let others who are interested know as well. Coming down on their own customers/fanbase isn't going to help them in the long run at all.

Basically, all this could have been avoided had they just shipped the same week as release, like most companies do. Blaming fans or retailers is pointless when the initial fault is their own.

Ok Guys. Ive got the 4 origins episodes. Im going to edit them soon into one full video. So if anyone wants to upload for download PM me. I dont have an mp4upload account or such

I'm not a fan of any of the starter final evos. I suppose the frog seems the least ugly to me. The chestnut is straight up digimon.

Selling a game early hurts their bottom line how?

If the guy bought the game early, legally, Nintendo has no right. Sure, whatever deal they had with the vendor could be void, but this guy did nothing wrong.

It hurts their bottom line because the image of their game is now out of their hands, their marketing strategy is now disrupted if they planned on making the final evolution reveal a final big push, other stores adhering to the street date can lose sales as a result of customers flocking to the broken-street date vendor - resulting in some angry business partners, exclusive reveals offered to specific website (like Pyroar for IGN) could now be useless, etc. There is a lot of interests that get impacted if street dates are broken. You can argue these few instances won't severely undermine their efforts in this instance, but going after them early prevents issues from snowballing for other releases. They gotta set the precedent somehow.

I'm not sure why you are talking about the fan. The guy said he gave the game on his own accord to save his friend's job, doesn't sound like Nintendo punished the fan. They just went after the vendor.

Ah so removal of bubble foam makes sense. It isn't random like Zard fire.

Young frogs need bubbles to protect itself. It loses its bubbles once it matures.

Uh, obviously? Nobody is thinking that they can't bend. It's that it looks bad.

Eh, I thought it looks okay. It gives it a protected look.
