Recognizing more and more people than I used to.

V_Arnold - The guy who has quoted me more than anyone else on GAF. I still don't know if he likes me or not
Corran Horn - The God of gifs; knows exactly what I need and when I need it.
Zlatko - The definition of top tier right here. Knows know bounds; back in the days, I could find him in every thread (be it Halo, SC, FGC). Now he's mostly inactive, but he's still awesome.
Pandaman - The zerg player I love to hate, truly a fantastic poster overall
Fanboi - Continous bash against me but that's what makes him so much fun!
Credo - You never, ever post - but I do love talking to you on Steam!
Riggs - Well, fuck. You're never in Gaming but I love you anyway.
Hazaro - A Starcraft 2 thread without Hazaro is not a good thread. Adds a lot to the atmosphere of threads, with his bias towards Brood War and his amazing capture footage-skills during tournaments.
Entropia - My first WoW-GAF friend! You're the best, man!
Holden - My favorite French GAFer; your posts are funny as hell!
Dark Schala - Read a thread where Dark Schala posts and you'll be entertained for at least a couple of hours. Lots of heated discussions come from this excellent poster
Duckroll - Although scary to talk to at times, he can still be funny, and point out some really valid stuff in heated discussions
Fersis - Funny and awesome poster but he dropped down from top tier since he's been less active these two years
Haunted - I miss your Day9 avatar bro; you're still amazing though
Q8D3vil - You dropped down from high tier man; you really need to stop that LoL-crap and come back to the real #esportsgame
Dennis - What the heck would a PC-thread be without this guy? People need to give this guy more credit.
Profit - You're the Ryu of GAF. Always a good poster, no matter the circumstances
Sliver - Top tier contributer to discussions - low tier absence, unfortunately
TheYanger - WoW buddy-in-law
SalsaShark - All my love comes from the Steam sales-thread!
Zzoram - Manages to keep up with heated discussions at times, contributes well enough to be in my list

Awesome Animals - Straight up ♥
BeeDog - Been enjoying his posts in the PS3 games-threads since late 2000 - but since I don't go inside those threads as much as I used to; I've missed a lot of your activities
BruceLeeRoy - I haven't seem him post lately but damn it, I love his magic when it comes to making avatars and whatnot
GraveRobberX - We never talk nowadays but I sure as hell see him in trophy-related threads! I love his contribution to the community
TheExodu5 - Also a great poster, but it's been way too long
Gromph - Extremely underrated! I like the way he posts and he's one of the happiest and kindest poster on GAF
Dahbomb - I never, ever see him post outside of DMC and Diablo 3-threads but that's fine! I love his in-depth stuff in those threads
Oracrest - Another person I haven't talked to in a while, but damn it if he's not one of my favorite Demon's Souls player out there. Competitive in its best form
NinjaBoiX - So much fun, always in my kind of threads!
The_Monk - Everyone knows this guy. The kindest (fellow) GAFer. THE KINDEST.
Aylinato - His protoss avatar makes him a one of a kind! Great poster!
Tashi - Fuck HaloGAF man, come back to SC2GAF! We're good guys, I promise!

edit: I do in particularly miss mescalineeyes (GAF-RIP), Himuro (GAF-RIP), and Red Scarlet (GAF-RIP) :(

Yes.

I also have have some sort of weird hypermemory where if someone mentions a detail or information about themselves, I remember it forever (happens in person too). Sometimes I have to play dumb and pretend I forgot something so it doesn't look like I'm searching old posts every time I reply to someone.

I mostly recognize frequent posters and Dutchgaf. And one person who doesn´t seem to post often but he/she called me a bad name ones :p
 
Yep. It's made more surreal because I actively lurked for several years before finally joining, so I remember events, posts, and posters I wasn't a part of/didn't interact with.

It's a really weird feeling sometimes.
 
I come in and out so much that it's hard to keep up with people, and I am not usually that active, so I'm sure I'm not terribly memorable. I tend to track people by usernames more than avatars, though, so I remember really funny, unique ones.

On this return to GAF, I've been pretty active, so I'm starting to get a fix on people. I recognize most of you in this thread. I am watching your shenanigans, dudes. I'm watching.

I recognize those who post frequently on the threads I visit, and those who tend to have either good or outrageous posts, although sometimes those two intertwine.

I've been browsing the forums for a while but didn't make an account til this year.

So posting wise, I'm still a nobody but I recognize a good bit of people on here.
 
I rely on avatars more often than names so regular posters who change it a bunch of times frustrate me since I have to burn another image into my brain. Weirdly enough most of the actual names I seem to memorize lately are fanboys of each console. Makes it easier to call them out for various things I guess.

i've been banned a couple times with the ban message being something along the lines of "that's not funny". they don't have funny bones.

Whenever a mod tells me "You need to cool down" in a ban message, I just read it as 'that was so funny you need to be banned'.

At the same time, many a misdirected joke directed at me has resulted in bans... so it's hard to say.
 
This thread has become a circle jerk. I'm going to be PMing and sending cookies to those that I recognize or those people that put me on lists of posters they are familiar with.

I find that I recognize a ton of people in Gaming Side and OT pretty well just by name or the way they post.

But once I venture into the community forums there are a ton of people I feel like I have never even seen or smelled.

I was writing up a big list but it was gonna take forever.

All I'll say is that I think marrec, his family and his sweet moustache are probably planning to overthrow Evilore and take control of GAF.
