Agreed. Litwick/Lampent/Chandelure is my favorite from Gen V.I'm not surprised because Chandelure is the best one.

No thank you. Looks like The It's cousin.mother fucking mr. mime
HE. WILL. RETURN.

Shame it's probably fake. I think it's cute. :3
Based on this thread - what is now the "right" choice, and why - Y or X?
I had my heart set on Y
It's still Y. Solely for Yvetal.Based on this thread - what is now the "right" choice, and why - Y or X?

>_> you would be right. *facedesk*I think you mean It.

Chandelure is incredible.Yeah it is! Surprised at Chandelure being the top one too
I'd guess that's Goomy's evo.
Just went on the /tr/ thread. Apparently that Japanese list doesn't exist on 2ch's Pokemon board. It doesn't even have the latest leaks, which one would expect.
http://kohada.2ch.net/poke/
Also wrong is using ジェネレーション for "generation" when it's usually 世代
I have a soft spot for Chandelure as Litwick is the only legit shiny I've found in the wild without exploiting RNG shenanigans.Chandelure is incredible.
I love that entire line soooooooooo much.
Also, the mega evolution list seems to be fake:
No shit. It didn't list Gyarados yet it's pretty much guaranteed if you take into account the trademarked names. And I have a difficult time believing they'd give Entei of all things two Mega Evolutions and ignore Suicune and Raikou entirely.
Japan has good taste. Chandelure is by far the best Pokemon from last gen. Jumped right into my top three as soon as I got it.Just took a look and it wasn't in the top 10, it was top 30 as of 2011. :/
Still pretty popular though.
That didn't answer my question. Why does Garchomp need one? Why does Mewtwo need TWO?

Pretty early, it’s before even the second badge.
On new Pokemon and variety
I'm kinda disappointed with the lack of new Pokemon throughout the basic progression of the game (and a lot of the ones I've encountered are lame: i.e. Carbink) but if you can get over that there's no reason to prefer the older gens over this one. The quality of life features are the best in the series. Based on what I've seen so far, anyway. Maybe the postgame will turn out to be not great but I have no way of knowing that yet.
One nice thing is that there's a huge variety of Pokemon to catch as you go. There's no Zubat or Geodude-like droughts to be had at all. I have never been hard up for type coverage (except a weird lack of Ground types early on) and any two random players are certain to have wildly varying team choices. Unless you want to use nothing but new Pokemon in which case you'd be pretty shoehorned.
....
Oh yeah, I guess I should mention that despite the apparent lack of new Pokemon, Mega Evolutions are still dope and exciting! Too bad I picked Venusaur...”
Friend characters
Yeah, they don't leave you alone. Story-wise you're actually travelling as a group. You fight your rival (ie the person who took your starter's weakness) all the time.
Pokedex Habitat List
I can't seem to find it. I didn't play BW2 so I'm not sure how it used to work.
Mega Stones
I've only ever got them from NPCs. Venusaurite et. al come with your Kanto starter, Lucarionite comes as part of the story, and I had to go out of my way for Ampharosite.
...
Also a guy there offered to sell me Charizardite Y for 500k pokebucks... do you not get it if you chose Charmander as your Kanto starter?
Pangoro
I hate to relegate him to the task, but Pangoro is a good HM slave. Surf, Rock Smash, Strength, and Cut.
Is that a Grass gym and does it include the vine swinging?
Yeah it was about vine swingin’
Camera during battles
It randomly cycles through a bunch of preset cinematic pans and zooms. It's made taking pictures a bit of a pain, heh.

Does a Mega stay Mega when it switches in?
Yeah. Further, there is no way to de-Mega Evolve.
What's the music and 1:04? and New Pokemon
Gym leader battles...I just had a new Pokemon name mentioned to me by an NPC but I haven't seen it yet: Sliggoo”
Doublade
Heh, Doublade learns Power Trick. How about that Defense now?
Evolution Stones
Someone asked earlier if you could buy evolution stones. There is a store in Lumiose City that sells Fire, Leaf and Water Stones, at least.
Gym Leader Teams
Uh, wow. I'm searching my brain but I really can't remember. Here are some unhelpful answers?
3rd gym: Fighting types, Hawlucha was in there I think.
4th gym: Grass types, Weepinbell for sure. I forgot the others...
5th gym: Literally just did this one. Emolga, Magneton, Heliolisk.”
MegaAerodactyl
Very early, before second badge. I think. You need Rock Smash, but the area it's in is definitely pre-second badge.
Here she be: http://i.imgur.com/9TMGo6l.jpg
Spread (Timid nature): http://i.imgur.com/2CSqoD2.jpg
Found: Last room of Glittering Cave, the Old Amber is found in a rock that can be Rock Smashed. Return it to Ambrette Town to restore the Fossil, then one of the scientists in the lab will give you an Aerodactylite.
...
Note that you can't Mega Evolve until after the third badge.
Flying Press
And I tested Flying Press on a pure Rock-type (Nosepass). It was neutrally effective.
Mega Evolution and the Game
This game has been really piss-easy so far even ignoring Mega Evolution.” “Nope. The animation takes a while though so I don't always do it.
Exp. Share:
Playing with it on? Yes.
Leveling newly caught Pokemon? Pretty damn easy with the new exp. share!
Ghosts
I am about to reach a 'Ghost House' area, smart money would be on Gengarite being picked up there.
I'm guessing there's no pics yet?
This pretty much confirms what I was thinking; there are actually three mega evolutions for Charizard. The first one revealed is the standard, then there is a version exclusive for both X and Y.I've only ever got them from NPCs. Venusaurite et. al come with your Kanto starter, Lucarionite comes as part of the story, and I had to go out of my way for Ampharosite.

...I wonder what a Dragon/Fairy would look like.
Maybe something Tiamat-inspired?
Aaaaand debunked. The other one is called Mega Charizard Y though.
http://www.pokemonxy.com/en-gb/pokemon/mega_pokemon/
There's a Blue vs Red theme showing up between X & Y pokemon- the pic showing the exclusives side by side makes it really obvious.Aaaaand debunked.
I wonder why Mega Charizard X has the radical color change while Mega Charizard Y doesn't.
Snubbull is Fairy type, Mr. Mime is Fairy/Psychic. Mr. Mime is a creepy fuck in 3D.
Whimsicott at number 2?
Not too bad.

Still mad that Charizard gets two megas and the other Kanto starters don't.
Where is that from?
Still mad that Charizard gets two megas and the other Kanto starters don't. And that Blaziken is the only other non-gen 1 starter to get a mega and no one else (unless that rumor is true and there's one starter mega for each generation... which is weird but better than nothing)
I...I want it.
Where is that from?
Just took a look and it wasn't in the top 10, it was top 30 as of 2011. :/

Mr. Mime being Fairy-type would be hilarious. Hope it's true.
New pogeyman
It's a list of the most popular Unova Pokémon in Japan in 2011.
Where is that from?
You get to Megavolve 1 pokemon per battle. They revert after it's over. The item isn't consumed.Interesting, so I am assuming that the held item can't be removed or is used up in the process.
