Pokemon X and Y Leaks, Releases Early

The Origin looks to be a happy medium for this though! It's the crazy badass power, but restricted to legendaries / mega forms.
And "look at all the fucks I give" Blastoise.
In the HGSS Arceus event, Cynthia even says that people overreacted to Pokemon's powers in ancient times and developed legends based around some of their signature abilities. Judgment sending out a flurry of glowy gobby things could look like spectral arms, hence the 1,000 arms myth. Dialga screwing with resident spacetime with Roar of Time = "motherfucker is the Lord of Time," and so on.

I've never even considered this. God, that's fascinating. For ALL of the years I've let my imagination run rampant with how the mechanics of the Pokemon universe would work, it has always been informed by taking dex entries at face value. I did the Arceus event in HG/SS too... I'm not sure why that tidbit whizzed straight over my head.

The more I think about it, the more I like it though. Gives the creatures are more mystical quality in relation to how humans view them.

What a badass franchise

Dang! I step out for a bit a all heck breaks loose! Could someone please catch me up by answering the following questions:

1) Why does Binacle have an evolution? I thought it was confirmed that there was no spot after it in the Pokedex.

2) Is there a spot after Sliggoo in the Pokedex? I really hope it evolves one more time into some badass dragon slug creature.

Somewhere in Sinnoh there's a lake with about 30 baby Remoraid with Charge Beam... and at this point probably nothing else. I kinda feel bad about it.

Don't ever go swimming in that lake. Unless you want your nuts fried off.

There is indeed

Actually there was a spot after Binacle in the Coastal Pokedex hence the evolution.

No idea about Sliggoo since it is in the Mountain Pokedex and that is barely filled out.

Just this cutie!
Has to be designed by the same person who created this wonder:

Thing I noticed, Aerodactyl isnt in the picture...

Aside from that, are there any other megas that are not pictured here?

Galvantula, Heracross, and Druddigon all are confirmed to have megas. We haven't seen them yet, but the leakers have claimed to have the mega stones for those pokemon. And all three of those pokemon are on that image.

I heard from a friend's older brother that if you name yourself Red in the original Red and choose Charmander and catch Red's Pokemon in the exact same order and beat the game with Charizard beating Blue's Blastoise with fire blast, then talk to to Mr Fuji, he gives you an item called "?" and you can use it on your Charizard and it turns it into a missingno that you can use agains MewTwo. True stuff, heard it at recess.

Bullshit, you didn't hear it at recess.

Where are people even saying that picture came from? The Japanese for the regions is off, so it's definitely not an official thing.

I'm fairly certain the Luvdisc thing was a joke that someone along the line took seriously.

As someone who has been lurking these threads on gaf and /vp/ with unhealthy frequency: This interpretation is right. No one has actually sincerely claimed to see a luvdiscite or megaluvdisc.

I think it was something like a selection of Pokemon available for newcomers to rent to compete in a Japanese Pokemon VGC tournament.

Well, the Japanese on it is incorrect. It's obviously not something even remotely official. For one thing, they're writing Kanto in Kanji, like the actual Japanese Kanto region where Tokyo is located. It's pretty much guaranteed fake.

I'm watching Pokemon The Origins Episode 1, and it's pretty amazing how the animation looks reminiscent of the late 90's to early 2000's anime movies. Like from Studio Ghibli.

I'm aware of this, but that's where that specific list of Pokemon came from. From what I've heard.

If the entire show could be like the Origin I'd be so happy.

The animation is good, and it's fun to watch all of the references to the games.

Seriously, I'd love a pokemon anime in this style for each of the generations/games.
