You can but it's about as good as 100% confirmed, since Charmander is the only Kanto starter that comes with an X or Y megastone.

The day care is apparently very early on, somewhere before or after the 2nd gym.
The new EXP Share, early day care, and ability swap are all really awesome, letting you concentrate on raising pokemon instead of grinding them.
Is that data included on the cartridge? Because 3DS games do get dumped, so there should be a way to read the files. If that's the case anyways.

Maybe you have to find a Ribbon Rock to get Sylveon.
It's a warm, fuzzy, felt-textured rock with organic ribbons flowing from it. There's something oddly life-like about the Ribbon Rock... if you flip it over, you'll see dozens of beady, milky blue eyes glancing in every direction and a gaping maw with no teeth.
Not really. Reviews are limited on what they can reveal until the 12th. Nothing that leakers haven't told us yet will be in the reviews, in fact probably much less than we already know will be.

A lot of people hate Lucario but I kinda like him. Would've preferred being able to capture a Riolu and train him up instead of just being handed him, but I suppose it's to show of Mega Evolution and whatnot.
I just checked the leaker's Pokemon, and his team are nearly all level 30+ and that's only after the third gym. Unless he's been doing some epic grinding, which is possible I suppose, that does suggest to me that these game(s) will have a longer single player adventure than usual.

Well the gym leader had a level 32 pokemon in her team I think. The highest level poke for a 3rd gym leader yet.

The 4chan leaker is apparently just past the 3rd gym and has encountered 62 new pokemon so far.

Furthest was the 6th gym iirc.
From what it sounds like, no one is at the seventh gym yet! It's appearing like these new Pokemon games have a long story mode.

Yes. This restriction was one of the absolute first things we learned about megas. You get one per battle. Idk if that means "only one pokemon can transform" or "only one of the 6 can hold a megastone at a time" though.
I think it's only one can transform.
Wait, Gengar is Ghost/Psychic now? Not Ghost/Poison? If true...
Gengar loses the following resistances compared to its old typing:
grass
fairy
bug (4x),
It goes from being weak to psychic to resisting psychic
Damage from dark and ghost types now does 4x damage instead of 2x damage
Weakness to ground (if levitate is nullified) is also removed.
