As we hype ourselves, let's look at this dude's wild What If Mega Evolutions.

Since I've been out for the whole day and I just saw Sliggoo, is there still no confirmation if this is the pseudo Legendary? or will this be another Metagross, Flygon, Haxorus?

Klefki's Pokedex entry is actually pretty damn clever for Gamefreak.

I mean, it's a Pokemon with a sick obsession with keys, and humans take advantage of that, as it won't give up keys to just anybody who wants 'em. It's actually pretty useful in the "world" of Pokemon.

And I wanna see Goomy's final evo if he has one. Weirdest dragon type yet.

There are more fairy Pokemon that I first expected. Kinda crazy that in gen II, there were only 12 steel or dark Pokemon total, including the Magnemite line retyping.

Seems like there are about 60 new Pokemon confirmed, so the second rumor about 90 new Pokemon MIGHT be true... but I still think it could easily be 70. Throw in some unexpected evolutions, a Z legendary, maybe a trio, and then you've got 70.

I like Klefki. It's a clever design. Whenever things get lost people always say 'the fairies took them'. What do people lose more than anything? Keys.

Tooth fairy should make an appearance too

I like how version exclusives pretty much don't matter anymore, what with wifi trading. OH NO I PREORDRED Y BUT WANT A GROWLITHE oh wait I can trade a vulpix for one immediately.

I honestly can't think of a Pokemon design I like less than Klefki..

Since learning the keys are stolen and attached rather than part of the pokemon.. that made me feel a bit better.

Why are people saying lazy like it's a bad thing? No one ever said, "I was pretty lazy today, it sucked." It's always "I was lazy all day and it was the best time of my life."

Also Slaking's species is "Lazy Pokemon"

Its name isn't Dugtrio or Magneton.
Diglett is based on the whack-a-mole game, evolution is more of them popping up. I'll give you Magneton though.

Voltorb/Electrode are bad, they probably existed just to be traps (people trying to pick them up as items) in the power plant.

And Klefki is no doubt based on the idea of keys that have gone missing being stolen by fairies. Still not seeing what's lazy about it.

I'm not a huge fan, but I'm not going to call it lazy just because I don't personally like it.

People forget that there's 700 Pokemon. Obviously some of them are not going to look great. If you make 700 of ANYTHING there's definitely going to be a few duds. Some will make you millions of dollars in merchandising sales, and others are guys like Dunsparce, Voltorb, and Fennekin.

I think Male Pyroar looks better than both Arcanine and Ninetails. And I like the Normal/Fire typing if it gets Stab Extremespeed. Lol

Got some shitty opinions up in here! Lion's face looks smashed in. It's awful.

I'm feeling kinda sad that the Goomy fad would probably be over the moment the game has been released.

I want Goomy to be forever known damn it :(

That is one of the worst/laziest pokemon designs I've ever seen.

I'd say it's actually pretty creative.

I mean, part of fairy lore is that they're mischievous. This one is (steals/takes keys). Being a key ring fits it perfectly. Prankster too.

wat

Pyroar has normal snout.

Shots fired.

I know it's unlikely, but I really hope you can change the nicknames of Pokemon you transfer through the Pokemon Bank. I made some pretty bad name choices years ago and can't change the name of a few of my shinies now...

The Pokemon would still have the OT, what does it matter if you can change the name anyway?

...yeah, I think Klefki beats the Vanilluxe line AND Luvdisc in my opinion as being the stupidest Pokemon in existence. Yes, I get the idea that it's tying in to the notion that keys can sometimes disappear like magic. I don't care. IT'S A KEYRING POKMEON!

Oh well, every generation has at least one absolute dud and I don't think anything is going to beat this for now.

Fennekin? Nah. Try Durant or Luvdisc or something.

I named my 2003 Sceptile "ALPHA" and there's no way I'm changing that name. It is better than having a level 100 Venusaur named "Bulby" like I did in Pokemon Blue.

Why do people call designs they don't like lazy?

People may actually think they're lazy designs?

In this case, they're essentially just animating an inanimate object, sort of like what they did with Voltorb. Compared to some of the more complex, fun, clever designs out there, it seems a little....lazy.

Sometimes the word fits.

It's pretty obvious more effort went into the design of this than Voltorb.

Is there a way to transfer my Pokemon from Gen IV to Gen VI or do I need a Gen V game to do it? I skipped Gen V and it would be sad if I couldn't transfer my 10-year-old Sceptile :(

You would think animating an inanimate object is harder than animating an animated object.

Don't really mean this as some dumb snark, because it's true. Coming with a concept to make key rings make sense as a Pokemon is prbably harder than say, adding fire to a monkey.

One of my problems is still the all-caps name of Pokemon from GenIII and GenIV that you transfer to GenV, I want that shit fixed! But I highly doubt it...

They weren't all designed at the same time though.

They still have to make 100~150 designs every four years. And they to make things varied so a generation can appeal to all kinds of people. I've seen people on other sites say they liked a lot Gen VI pokemon but then have a huge tantrum when they see ONE pokemon that doesn't appeal to them. GF doesn't get enough credit for their work, its sad that so many people call them lazy because not every Pokemon appeals to their own personal taste.
