Hyper Light Drifter [Kickstarter = Funded] Wii-U Stretch at 550K, Ends Oct 12

If i understood well they charge the same price for PS4 or Vita version.
Yeah I see that now, but the PC version is $10.

I wonder if Nintendo and Sony are still not giving developers free keys?

Well, I guess if I'm getting a console version I might as well drop another five for the golden upgrade.

That was their plan all along, haha.

Mods should somehow update the title so platforms are displayed making people interested in the project. Unfortunately, not all platforms will probably fit like OUYA, Mac, and Linux.

There are more costs involved in developing for consoles and so they are accounting for that.

I'm on the phone so that might be it but, I see no WiiU mention on the KS page.

Now that there is a Wii U stretch goal, I will finally take the plunge. Just have to sort out at what tier I want to pledge.

EDIT: Nope, still need a mod to change the real title. Oh well. If a mod is reading this, please:

Try PMing a mod. That usually is a quicker method.

1st time im backing a project.
Im really happy with my choice.
Was hoping 3ds was going to be part of the system supported (for portability ). But no loss as i have a Pc as well.

I believe developers have to pay Nintendo for keys, I would assume the amount charged would be equal to what Nintendo's cut of the sales would be for that many sales, seems fair enough to me, they probably get some free keys too

Holy shit

From Sean Ward, who will join us for some commissioned animation duties since he made such an impressive first run.

Amazing, that animation is just so so good. If the actual game's combat animation is even half as good as that sprite...

Holy fucking shit, this animation is ridiculous. If the game has some crazy awesome shit like this, I can already claim it as my GOTY.

First the fanarts made me want a Hyper Light Drifter anime, now I want a character action game.

Awesome animation. Happy that they hit the $450K goal. With still 6 days to go, getting $550K shouldn't be a problem.

I hope the game is early enough in development to where they can use this sprite model instead of the one we've seen in the footage. If not, that's fine. The game is still going to look fantastic.

holy fuck, how did I miss this? Shit looks like LttP has sex with Diablo, then afterwards then smoked a blunt watching Miyazaki movies.

where do I insert the money

I really hope the last 5 days will be kind to this kickstarter. Only 80k away from the Wii U version.
It'll make it. Most Kickstarters have a crazy burst of funding at the end and for a game as anticipated as like HLD, the backers will come. Especially if the devs release a gameplay video or something to build even more hype

This would be the route I'd prefer to see. Even a brief live stream of them demoing some more in-game footage, etc. would probably provide a huge boost for them.

I'm guessing that the co-op campaign that was a stretch goal was for local co-op only?

I'm deciding what tier I'd like to pledge. There are so many different combinations, and a lot of the tiers don't include all of the previous tiers, or have some exceptions.

I think there was a goal for online co-op too.

i don't see how it wouldn't get 50k in 3 days, the last 48 hours or so is usually when these things get a big cash infusion.

Yep. And with them doing a live stream the last day, it's a sure thing. I hope it reaches the $600. I'm interested in what else they can put up as a stretch goal.

Is the choice of platform right after the Kickstarter ends, or closer to actual release? I only ask because I have no idea if I'll own a Vita or not when this actually releases. :P I'm on the $10 tier for PC, but I'm a portable gamer at heart and I feel like this would sing on a Vita or 3DS.
