Hyper Light Drifter [Kickstarter = Funded] Wii-U Stretch at 550K, Ends Oct 12

Yeah, he's got enough - Stretch Goal some of that into a sequel.

That'll happen by nature. The more money they have now, the more comfortable they'll be going into pre-production on the next game (whether it be a sequel or something new).

God damn, talk about meeting quota and then some. Game is looking fantastic too, really digging the colors. Depending on the price of entry for those physical boxes (if it does reach the $350,000 goal) I might do that. Otherwise I'm in for the $10 option.

If the rate of funding stays somewhat consistent till the end, he'll easily make it to 400K itself.

I'll be shocked if that's all this thing has at the end. This one's got the exposure to stay pretty consistent in the slow mid stretch, and enough of a loyal following that it'll get that massive end of campaign rush. This thing's gonna probably top out somewhere around 550k when all's said and done.

New update

I've gone ahead and roughed up two sketches for the Resplendent Print Tier for all of you backers to start thinking about. I'll be posting two more, and once I have a final tally I'll be able to finalize the illustration. Please vote in this thread on these two:

Version 02

New Tiers

I'm going to update the rewards tiers soon with a new $64 set that will include a physical box, physical manual, a digital copy of the game (platform of your choice), digital download of the OST, digital copy of the Companion Art Book, and Hi Res Wallpapers. Sound like a deal? Also another $100 Tier to be determined, possibly a return of the print!

Podcast

In case anyone missed it, there is a podcast interview that went up on Wednesday from these fellows: http://www.secondopiniongames.com/post/2311

Fan Art Contest

Turns out Kickstarter does indeed frown on any kind of contests, and I'm not trying to push any buttons on their end. So instead of a rewards tier, the winner will be featured in the next boss update come Wednesday, and will receive a lovely thank you in their email. Keep submitting art to our FB page and to the email address in the profile, it's all amazing to see!

Website and alternate (PayPal) payment options

I'm working with Humble Bundle to provide a widget on our upcoming official Heart Machine website to provide all the potential backers a way to get in on this if they cannot do so through Kickstarter: Humble Bundle has been most excellent with how they set everything up. Expect widgets early next week!

Thanks again everyone, this thing is still raging!

Unbelievable at the kind of momentum he's been getting. I'd be surprised if this doesn't clear half a mil.

I mean, judging by the intricate animation and world the teaser implies he can't really get enough money.

Updated OP with new stretch goals.

Challenge mode sounds cool, could be a great way to extend the life of the game after the adventure is done. Wonder if there'll be some kind of leaderboards.

So I just found out that this game reached its PS4/Vita stretch goals. I'm very happy to hear the news as PS4 is quickly shaping up to be the place to be for indies, and every bit of exposure helps. So stoked to play this!

I'm not a big RPG guy, but this just looks too cool, and a PS4 version is awesome news. I'm in.

Yeah, though, for a kickstarter that's not backed by former AAA developers, I'm surprised at the steady stream of cash flowing in after the first week.

I backed last night. I'm looking forward to this. I really wish this was coming to the 3DS, but oh well. DRM-free on Mac for me.

Mother of GOD this is backed so hard.

Man, Kickstarter is just delivering as far as I'm concerned. (Wasteland 2, Project Eternity, Torment, Ghost Song, this)

Edit:
All over my Vita :D

Still refuse to back any kickstarters, but will be there day 1.
So edgy. So hot right now.

Only just seen this and the pics in the OP don't really do it justice. The game looks like a gorgeous 16 bit game with a pastel palette.

The stretch goals are being hit easily considering they have 17 days left and I'm glad a Vita version will be done now. This game on that OLED *drools*

Which pics would you like to see in the OP?
