So far I've only decided on Chespin and Helioptile. Need that Flying-type resistance. Might use Flabebe depending on it's final evolution and I'm considering Talonflame since I rarely use Fire-types.
Probably Ralts or Espurr, too.
Better the birds than something shitty again, if we get anything like the reggis again...

IMO I like Charizard Y over X. I think the constant blue flame from X's mouth is stupid. :/

Red makes Ash look like such a chump, its refreshing to finally see a trainer who can get shit done.
One little thing I really liked was that the pokemon all roared and made animal sounds instead of saying their names, I was expecting Mewtwo to start talking for a second.

Yes, this was a really nice touch since it was based on the games and pokemon saying their names is an anime thing. The plentiful nods to the game really made the special fun. It would be neat if they did this sort of thing for subsequent gen games. At least a Johto special with a battle against red would be sick.

GEN I nostalgia has really gone off the rails if the birds thing is even remotely true.
I really want a Mega Zapdos though.

I've liked all the trios so far except for the Kami in BW. They seemed more like RPG monsters than Pokemon, though their beast forms are slightly better. Not to mention the complete randomness of having Japanese inspired gods in a place inspired by America where the other legendaries are jet dragons. All the other trios made sense within the game's story.
