Pokemon X and Y Leaks, Releases Early

Both Mewtwo's look crap.
Charizard X looks a little better than Charizard Y.

I'm buying Y becasuse I like Yveltal. Seriously, some people need to stop thinking they completely understand why people do the things they do, like the things they like, etc. People are fucking different. Different Pokemon appeal to them. Deal with it.

Seriously. Some people speak on things like theirs is the be all end all opinion. Welcome to the internet I guess...

On a side note, I'm kinda glad there's only 70 new ones to memorize. I'm already hard pressed on remembering all the Gen 5 pkmn and their typings and base stats and such and I played the hell out of those games.

But Charizard and foreskin mon and the chameleon dude...Wait Norse myth? The fuck is Fenrir at?

You gotta beat him in a battle first.

He got 14 high level pokemon.

Can Game Freak go ahead and retcon all the post-game cross-gen evos from DPPt into Mega Evolutions? It'd make things so much easier.

Is there a special bag compartment / key item container for Mega Stones, though?

Pokemon GS
54 new evolutionary families

1-stage: 27 families
2-stage: 18 families
3-stage: 6 families
Alternate Evolutions:6
Pre-evolution: 7
Evolutions: 6
Mega Evolutions: 0

Pokemon DP
44 new evolutionary families

1-stage: 18 families
2-stage: 20 families
3-stage: 6 families
Alternate Evolutions: 4
Pre-evolution: 7
Evolutions: 18
Mega Evolutions: 0

Pokemon XY*
34 evolutionary families.

1-stage: 8 families
2-stage: 18 families
3-stage: 8 families
Alternate Evolutions: 1
Pre-evolution: 0
Evolutions: 0
Mega Evolutions: >18

*May have hidden event Pokemon and undiscovered Mega Evolutions.

What we've seen in the XY's new Pokemon is a reduction in single-stage/Legendary Pokemon and a slight increase in 3-stage Pokemon relative to other even generations. May have made some errors in counting, but more or less accurate.

Just a reminder people: The Poison type (Shut up Arceus) with the highest base stat total is Crobat.

People whining about nerfs to Dark type or Steel type can eat a dick.

I was secretly hoping for a marowak evolution, even a mega one would have been nice. Aw well, there's always next gen.

Edit: Speaking of crowbat: has there been any sightings of zubats in the game? Crowbat is always on my squad

You know where I can find that post? No legit console pokemon games has always been one of the most baffling things in all of gaming to me. Would love to see if there are actually good arguments for why that is.

someone above me mentioned it and linked to a post
but in summary basically the pokemon games main methos was pretty much behind the concept of trading and socializing with others and they feel that with a console game it could ruin that aspect of the game and feel its place is more at handleds for that very reason
i can see why they dont want to make a console pokemon game with this argument but i also cant see why they cant make a spin off like Colosseum or XD

When Nintendo releases its Wii U successor and it turns out to be a console/portable hybrid that services both markets we will finally get our console-based mainline Pokemon title.

But only then. Not before.

1. Pocket Monsters. Was designed to be a handheld game, meeting up with friends to trade and battle, etc.
2. Making a console version would be a lot more expensive to make, and wouldn't necessarily sell better.
3. The handheld games sell amazingly. Why jeopardise messing with a good thing by suddenly making the handheld games inferior?

1. There's no reason why no one could make some seperate pokemon games for console though

2. It would of course be more expensive and maybe not sell as well. But if someone had made a good pokemon rpg game for the wii at some point. There's absolutely no way it wouldn't still have turned a huge profit.

3. I don't get this argument. Look at the pokemon games that have been made for consoles through the years. None of them have had a negative impact in the gamefreak titles.

And not making a console pokemon game because it might "make the handheld games inferior" seems like something that would ( and should ) piss of any pokemon fans if a nintendo rep would actually say something like that.

Oh wow the post you talked about was actually litterally the post right above yours that I quoted xD

About that though. That's from an article with the director of the x and y games. So I think it makes sense that they have that design philosphy regarding the pokemon games. But I absolutely don't see why another competent studio couldn't be given the task of making a separete, home console pokemon rpg game.

Dragalge is Dragon? But is it Water and Dragon? Poison and Dragon?
We're still waiting for confirmation on this.
But the only leaker whose mission it is to share with us this information is busy trying on hats.

Florges confirmed as pure Fairy (not Fairy/Grass dual).
Because if there's anything this gen needs is more pure Fairies.

And it evolves with a Shiny Stone. I dont mind it being pure Fairy going by the stat screen someone uploaded of Floette it's going to be speedy.

I don't think it will ever happen dude. It would take longer to make the game, be more expensive and at the end of the day probably sell less than a handheld game would have. Nintendo have a goldmine with the Pokemon franchise, every new generation sells millions. If they were to make a full fledged home console version, it would split the fanbase, with some people buying the console version, and others buying the handheld version. Now they have to appeal to BOTH of those groups every few years rather than just the one.

At the end of the day, it's all about money. If Pokemon was to suddenly drop in sales...THEN we might see a console game.

EDIT: Oh, and none of the console Pokemon games have ever affected the sales of the mainline Pokemon games...because they weren't mainline Pokemon games. :p

I can definitely see where you are coming from where why cant a pokemon console game exist. However, i can see why they have not made a console pokemon rpg since i think they might feel there might be even more over saturation in the market and like monster hunter probably thinks splitting up a fanbase is not within their interests. (Also i have no idea how big game freaks teams are or what kind of resources they have so producing a game as big as a console game could really spread their teams thin

Does anyone know the reasons why the gamecube got 2 pokemon rpgs?

Oh shit.

Its ability could be pretty good for a Grass focused team.

Hm, I wonder if that ability affects moves like Superpower and what not. That could be interesting if it prevent self stat lowering.

Though, still wish Florges didn't look like that.

Wow, just recently caught up on today's reveals. I'm deliberately avoiding story spoilers. Spoilers about the actual 'Mons, though...I gotta figure out my team!

Mega Gardevoir? I...kind of don't mind it. Not exactly what I was expecting, but...I'm not really sure what I was expecting. I wasn't expecting a Disney princess, but that's not necessary a bad thing. I'll take it.

A snake legend?! I approve. It's Dragon/Ground? Uhh...okay.

Other than that, I only await news on Dragalge's typing, if Milotic's typing is Water/Fairy, and if there's a Mega Pinsir.

Wait... there are 72 non legendary Pokemon revealed so far but Xerneas, Yveltal and Zygarde are the 67th, 68th, and 69th Gen VI Pokemon in the national dex...

We only have 69 discovered Kalos pokemon. The Megas aren't counting towards that number. Neither are the different-gender pokemon that are split from one another in that one evo chart that's floating around. Only one dex entry for the pair even though they look different aesthetically.

There are 268 unobtainable prior-gen Pokemon in Y & Z. We're still pinning down which ones those are.

In the meantime, here's a pic of a trainer that looks like a demented character you might find in Higurashi or Corpse Party...

Preorder cancelled, damn it GameFreak, if you can't make 20 billion new Pokémon per game like my sky high expectations desire then why bother? Oh and Megas should count towards the total number in my opinion, They're practically new Pokémon and allows then to revist old designs in a not so predictable fashion. I welcome this gen. Good job.

I counted wrong, lol.

Flogres's base stats from Stellar on smogon.

SpA: 109 - 126
SpD: 140 - 157
Spe: 74 - 92

Nice special defense.

Zygarde is great... and huge. Also, fantastic job to whoever called that it was going to be a snake based off of Norse mythology months ago.
