Eh, what can I say? I love the rock monster. I'll give two reasons why, if you're curious:
1: Rhyperior looks like a living mountain. While I do like Rhydon a lot, Rhydon never stuck out to me as looking like it's rock typing. Rhydon does have a...craggy exterior, but Rhyperior actually looks like a rock monster. Also, I'm just a fan of large imposing designs in general. The big body, the orange armor, the Big-O style piston arms, the giant horn...I just love the rock monster design that he exudes; a lot more-so than Rhydon.
2: His description lists that he shoots Geodude out of his palms. I just love the idea of Rhyperior firing a Geodude out of his palm at mach speed, while the Geodude just flails wildly in the air. Call it cruel, but it's funny in a dark comedy sort of way.
The fact that it takes an item space to use them is a big deal. And it's only one per team.
tell me, which item would megamewtwo possibly need with a bst of 780?
I would like Rhyperior more if the extra armour wasn't orange, it just looks goofy to me.
Mega Mewtwo Y doesn't need an item, he's literally more powerful than god

The thing is Mega Mewtwo Y has Sp. Atk roughly the same as a Life Orb Mewtwo without the HP loss.
The only thing that could possibly beat it, is a strong Physical Priority attack i.e ExtremeSpeed Arceus or a Sucker Punch.
Every seahorse has a ridiculously high provability of becoming a dragon type, and the posion type looked like a sure deal, so not that surprising at all, really.The poison dragon no one was expecting.
Nonetheless I welcome our new type combo mon.
I wish Charizard X was available in both games so people wouldn't switch specifically for that 1 pokemon. My friend and I decided at launch that i would get X and he would get Y, he was the one that chose first also. Now he wants to get X because of Charizard X.

This is a relatively old post, but I wanted to quote it and say that I agree 100%. I am really glad we got apparently 70 Pokémon instead of 100+ and I hope they keep making few Pokémon every new generation. I wouldn't be opposed if Gen VII introduced only 70 or even I don't know, 50 new Pokémon only. They could focus on creating Mega Evolutions until every Pokémon has a least one. Focusing on building and fleshing more the Pokémon World and the characters would be great too. Yeah, that would be awesome. The fact we have 700+ Pokémon was making me really worried we would have more than 1000 in a few years
That is just too much. So yeah, yay for 70 Pokémon!Definitely the return of then king but that attack is wasted on it. If only some of that attack would go to its defence.... But then it would be in a league of its own.
With a BST of 780, Arceus would have to have a mega form.

Didn't realize that someone made a thread about the low Pokemon thing, even though it's not even confirmed since Yveltal isn't even the last Pokemon in the dex and we don't know if Zygarde is, even excluding events.Although I know it isn't going to go much further. It seems most people don't care though.

I wish we got more leaks of cosmetic items. I know a lot of people are looking forward to customizing their trainers appearance, but we've only seen a few items from the leakers. It would be cool if there was a lot of throwback clothing from old protagonists or even villain teams. I want a Team Rocket shirt.

Did we find out how Skrelp evolves yet?
Levelling up past at least 37 but has to have the move Camouflage in its move set.
Likewise Clauncher needs the move Crabhammer to evolve.

Repost seeing I got the lucky 50th post.
This would have made sense on Ampharos but I feel it's going to be a coverage type move like Mirror Shot. I can see things like Magnezone learning it.
You can be virtually guaranteed that Gen VII games will reuse most, if not all of the models and animations from Gen VI, so it's not like they have to remake every Pokemon each time they develop a game. New Pokemon are a huge selling point, and keep the games fresh and exciting.
