Are Floette and Florges confirmed to be pure Fairy type?
This was confirmed late last night. So yep.

To people saying R/S/E remakes aren't needed due to GBA games being transferable.....do you realize how many years it has been since any hardware capable of playing GBA games and the GBA Pokémon games have been in print?

Most of the Pokémon audience was too young to play them the last time anyone could buy those things.

I am so busy this coming week that I probably won't be bored. Then I have the entire week after that off for Pokemon. YESSS thank you fall holiday!

Hopefully shopto delivers this time round so I can play on thursday!

Haha who am I kidding. That isn't happening after these leaks. :(

Well, thinking about it this way, someone pointed out that if you removed the Baby/Evolutions from Gen 4 there's only 70 New Pokemon in Gen IV, and a good chunk of that is Legendaries.

That cheers me up a bit when you look at it that way.

My hype has been bouncing back and forth over the last few days, yesterday it kind of hit rock-bottom and I was sort of doubting buying the game, but I'm sure as we get closer to release I'll start feeling the desire to buy it again.

And I guess it's sort of weird to judge a game's worth by a numerical value, even if that value is something I enjoy in Pokemon, when everything else seems to be pretty good sounding.

Not even hyped for remake of Ruby and Sapphire even though i enjoyed the hell out of Emerald version. Just going to buy X and just buy Soul Silver call it a day with the franchise.

Leaker must have had the game ridiculously early though since he had everything right.

What fairy type moves do we know of now?

There's Fairy Wind, iirc geo control is dual type with fairy being one of them, that safeguard thing, any others?

There are so many Pokemon now, the small number of new ones doesn't bother me anyways. Especially since the quality in design seems to have gone up (in my opinion) since the last couple of gens.

Also, I absolutely adore Dragalgae or however it's spelled. Definitely going to have one on my team.

Why are people doing this? Gen 4 added 107 new pokemon species. Gen 6 added 69. Just accept that this is small generation and move on.

I think the reason why the number is so important is because pokemon are the heart of this genre. Finding them, catching them, raising them, etc... So the low number instantly makes the game seem very thin on new content. I can imagine that's why GF souped up everything else about this generation: massive region, enormous regional dex, new type, etc... They need to justify a full price purchase by supplying enough "new" material that the low count doesn't hurt as much.

Eh, I liked a lot of the Pokemon in Gen IV and Gen V.

Some of the new ones sort of bother me for some reason, but that's probably because I've yet to get used to them. Gourgeist is probably the biggest one for me because I find it a bit dumb after such a cute pre-evolution, but apparently it has a "Large Size" form which might be more to my taste.

There's some 80 Power, 100 Accuracy move called like "Dazzle Glam" or something I remember seeing that the Fairy Gym Leader gives you a TM for.

Also something called "Pixelate" that turns Normal-type moves into Fairy.

Because Gen VI has very few legendaries or evolutions so in terms of fresh families it's highly comparable to the number added in Gen IV.

If they remake RSE on this hardware it has to be justified with more content. Kanto and Johto please.
No thanks. Kanto has been on EVERY SINGLE handheld console since it's original release.

Game Boy: RBY
Game Boy Color - G/S/C
Game Boy Advance: FR/LG
Nintendo DS: HG/SS

I am sick of Kanto. I want Hoenn where they haven't wasted time shoehorning in another half-asses region

So one of the leakers mentioned Zapdos as a roaming bird, what are the chances the roaming Legendaries are exclusive to versions?
A trio as exclusive when there are 2 versions? Poor Moltres....
I seem to remember FR/LG had the dogs roaming but; you only got one based on which starter you picked.

So what I am saying is version is unlikely to determine roaming when there 3 roamers but something else might determine it if there is only one.

Do we have any confirmation on seasons? That was a cool feature, a pretty useless one because of how it was implemented, but still a cool aesthetic feature. It'd be a shame if they removed it.

lol, why would Glailie be fairy?

I guess because they're based off Yokai like Mawile.

I think having a "scary" Fairy would be cool, and Glalie really needs something to spice it up. It's one of my favorites so I'd love a new type for it.

Here's a chart:

So far I have to say I'm very happy with Fairy-type and think it's a good addition, most of the Fairy Pokemon are pretty neat, and I'm glad Mr. Mime is one now.
Cool, thanks!

I guess we won't know about some legendaries like Celebi and such until Pokémon Bank comes out...

Togekiss is a Fairy/Flying type now?

Jesus...

Togekiss: This game deserves a better class of Fairy-type, and I'm gonna give it to 'em.

Why.
Why would you do this?

Pokemon X is the game that we've all dreamed of full 3d, customizeable characters, solid online etc.. But i've just lost interest in the franchise in general. Also it's getting to the point where theres too many pokemon for me to care.

I understand why gamefreak decided to make megas, but i'm not a fan

That means less than nothing. A new pokemon is a new species, period. Man, people refuse to accept that this is a small batch of pokemon this time around. Even going so far as to offer incredibly nitpicky My corolla-looks-like-corvette-if-I-squint-during-a-full-moon scenarios.

Amen, I'd rather they focus on one region and make it phenomenal than split their focus in two. Traveling to another region in the same game is a great concept, but the compromises it brought with it the last time they did it are too much.

Oh man that would be awesome if Misdreavus was ghost/fairy!

But I really doubt Snowrunt and Glalie will be fairy. and Ledian.

The rest... I could see it happening.

I never understood this sentiment to be honest. Maybe it's because for me the excitement comes from never knowing what I'll encounter in battle and the more pokemon there are the more combinations there are. It's what keeps me on edge. I've stopped caring about necessarily catching them all

I don't think I've actually caught them all since R/B/Y (no mew though /cry) but that is always my main driving force when I start a new adventure.

Aromatisse (Spritzee was very cute, this is really weird...it might grow on me though)
Gourgeist (apparently it has another form which might look cooler)
Vivillion (boring type combo, also it hurts it's the only fully-evolved Bug. It's also kind of ugly, but I like the Polar Pattern a bit more than the default pink)
Sylveon (Eeveelutions bore me)

So, overall, I'm alright with this Gen. I imagine I'll end up liking a few of these Pokemon better when I actually use them and play with them in Pokemon-Amie, and see them in the show which usually causes me to like Pokemon more.

My planned team at the moment is:

Chespin, Fletchling, Binacle, Bergmite, Flabebe, and Honedge.

I agree, I love New Pokemon...not just for their game play purposes, but also realizing they'll never be "written out" and getting to see them in various mediums and continuously change as they get new moves and abilities in future installments. I have no problem memorizing the current batch, and this won't change it...I don't remember every stat or number exactly, but I can easily recognize a Pokemon when I see it or hear its name, and I don't think I'll have that trouble anytime in the future.

The only reason I'm really worried about New Pokemon being introduced in the future is that I'm getting old, and I'll probably end up missing out on the next Generation as I start to look for jobs and a family. I sort of hoped this Gen would be a big one that I could be satisfied with as a possible last hurrah.
