Pokemon X and Y Leaks, Releases Early

I really miss the days I had a Charmander and played through pokemon evolving it. It's why I had to get X. It's going to be good going through that again.

I love the fact I can have Clawitzer and Dragalge on the same team without type overlap. (Although I'll still double- or triple-dip on Dragons with Tyrantrum and/or Goodra!)

Clawitzer and Dragalge are two of my favorite designs this gen. Any word on how strong Dragalge is? Clawitzer is 530 BST, I believe. Poison/Dragon for Dragalge is beyond cool.

On another note, Zygarde is an AMAZING design. They followed the serpent theme, consistent with the Yggdrasil myth of the Stag (Xerneas) and the Blind Eagle (Yveltal). I'm surprised by the Ground/Dragon type -- I was expecting Poison, given the serpent's role in Ragnarok -- but Ground makes sense since the serpent lives under the roots of Yggdrasil.

Yeah it's awesome that you can use both the exclusives without the types touching each other. I have to think about if i want to do that or stick with Clawitzer alone.

I completely agree, I am a huge fan of Zygarde. I love the design and the colorsXerneas and Yveltal are excellent as well. I really wish the game was set in Scandinavia to fit the Norse mythology theme.

Don't forget Zygarde is likely to get a new form for Pokémon Z, so there's a chance its typing could also change.

That's true, I could definitely see Zygarde getting an alternate form as the cover Pokémon of the inevitable Pokémon Z (or maybe a couple alternate forms, for the covers of Pokémon X2 and Y2)!

I doubt we'll see any more straight up remakes. The Pokemon Bank permanently satisfies one of the major reasons to remake generations.

I never understood this sentiment to be honest. Maybe it's because for me the excitement comes from never knowing what I'll encounter in battle and the more pokemon there are the more combinations there are. It's what keeps me on edge. I've stopped caring about necessarily catching them all

I don't know, It's sort of similar to my thoughts about legendaries. A lot of the new legendaries that i've encountered past probably Giratina encounter in platinum hasn't resonated with me. It's like "wow it's a new legendary =/" it's not that their designs are bad it's that i've lost interest.

I've beaten Blue, Yellow, Silver, Crystal, Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond, Platinum, Soul Silver, Black and i recently beat Black 2. I'm tired, when i played through black 2 i wasn't having fun, i just wanted to get through it

Edit: also leaf green

At the same time, going 3D is a great excuse to remake any of the older games.

I'm indifferent, personally. I just want the "revisions" to add even more Mega Pokémon.

Is it bad that the transition to 3D just makes me want to have another remake of G/S? 3D johto and kanto in one game? I'm in.

every time that i read "Yggdrasil" in this thread i think: "tales of symphonia, tales of symphonia, tales of symphonia..."

every time that i read "Yggdrasil" in this thread i think: "xenogears, xenogears, xenogears..."

Funny because when I read Yggdrasil I think of this;

So what's the situation with Mega Evolutions at the moment? Are we expecting more to be shown in the coming days?

I think that we have uncovered most of them, but there could be more that are given away via event.

Theoretically, there could be a bunch more seeing as Blazikenite for instance isn't found in-game.

I really like the legendary Pokemon in Pokemon X/Y. The majority of the Unova legendary Pokemon were trash, so this is refreshing.

Did any of the leakers say when the game allows you to trade? I'm getting Y physical and X digital (because I have 30 eshop credits from the fire emblem/shin megami promotion). It has been like a small dream of mine ever since first grade gen 1 to do a run with all 3 kanto starters. I want to farm X for the other 2 kanto starters and trade them to Y. Oh yea my sister has a 3ds XL so I have two 3ds to work with here. If you can't trade early I will settle for just charmander.

Personal opinion: We should probably still be expecting one or two megas to still be discovered even after the game is released officially.

Current situation: I don't think anyone knows and your guess is as good as mine. It wouldn't surprise me if hold items are hidden in extremely obscure places and no one knows about it yet.

And then, of course, we aren't even taking into account what they will be giving us in terms of event megas.

I really love pretty much all the Pokemon here. I feel like they were able to focus on getting the best designs since the new poke count is so low. Blessing and a curse.

Zygarde is...uh...interesting. And by interesting I mean disappointing when looking at Xerneas and Yveltal

Also it's getting to the point where theres too many pokemon for me to care.

I agree with this, so I am quite glad they are introducing fewer Pokémon. If they kept introducing 100+ every generation, in less than ten years, it would be absurdly hard to even remember the names of all Pokémon existing.
