Whimsicott has earned my respect as it's the only way my offensive Regigigas set is anywhere near playable.
I'm still optimistic that Whimsicott is going to be in the Regional Dex somewhere.
Japan loves the darn thing too much to leave it on the sidelines until bank transfers become available.

So have pics of the gym leaders been shown yet?

Have we seen Delphox in Amie yet?

Still waiting :/

I can't understand the rationale behind no Whimsicott for 2 months...
What is wrong with Gamefreak.

Why did they ruin this gen.

We only know it's not in the Kalos Dex.

You could easily encounter it in the post-game through some PokeRadar method-like deal.

Most of the Pokemon that got evolutions could be caught in the postgame with the Pokeradar, swarms and in hidden areas, but there were a couple that still needed to be imported (Tangela), and some that only had access to their evolution through the dongle method (Magmortar/Electivire).

If I recall correctly Tangela and Tropius were the only non-Legendary Pokemon that you couldn't find in Sinnoh. Although you did need to Dongle for a few of them, but those you legitimately needed to catch and trade over from RSEFRLG.

Pretty weird for Tangela since he had an evolution.

So have any of the leakers even hit post game? Lots of Pokemon missing, rumored Hoenn, national dex, etc.

Edit: Hoenn DLC with new 60+ more new Pokemon would be amazing. Would solve the supposed data restriction limit, and they might have that other 60 Pokemon just waiting to be released.

Look at the responses I'm seeing "cools" "awesomes" and "gimmies". I literally felt like everyone around me had finally just lost it all and went full batshit. Kind of like when I was doing this charity thing with my wife and there were all these free toys for kids, the little girls had pretty good taste. But the boys (in first 2nd grade) would come up and see a cool dinosaur but instead become fixated on a worn out play container with nothing on it? Wtf? I guess the same reasoning applies to older people and pokemon designs.

Hey, I've gotta ask

Why are D/P/P hated on so much?

I understand that battles were slow-paced and there were some issues insofar as Pokemon variety etc but it still had an interesting and well-designed region (best in the series IMO), better lore than the rest of the series (as though that's saying something), and the best, freshest music the series has had since Gen 3

This gen actually convinced me to end here. I never thought it would happen, I get 3D I get customization of my character I get like a handful of mons this gen Im not tempted to drag behind a shed a finish off. If the 3rd upgrade game can save things then more power to it. The pluses of 3D will be a nice experience with old favs, but after that, i have nothing left.

The decision was based on a mixture of things. Like seeing a thread in another forum revealing the Z legendary. I open the thread and see its pic and Im like

"... Oh..Coo... Wait... Face is fucked up... Shame"

I'd love to know the other things that caused you to feel this way because the example that you laid out is silly.

Something Awful leaker Kanpachi did last night, found Zygarde and Mewtwo.

Dunno if he'll play more tonight, maybe he'll explore around for more Mega Evolutions.

Do people really want to play in Kanto for the fifth time? -___- I mean, I know it would be in 3D this time but geez, can we give it a break? How many times can one play in that bland region before realizing their nostalgia is blinding them?
Allow me to be more specific. It's not going to Kanto specifically that would make me excited. It's going to another region that would be great, like in Gold/Silver. Although I like the Battle Tower concept, I never felt that Battle Tower/Subway/whatever they do next ever truly compared to a postgame experience like visiting another region, and anyway Battle Tower was amazing at first but seems to be getting stale now. I like Kanto, but they can do another region for all I care (I'd prefer one where I have the fondest memories of however- Gen III and earlier).

Only thing about the low Pokemon count that bums me out is the low amount of Legendaries. Hunting for Legendaries was always my favorite post-game thing to do

They're jealous that the other regions don't have a pokemon as good as Giratina.

It's mostly the small amount of new families and the very contested evolutions that kill it for a lot of people, as said. D/P are slow, but Platinum is appreciably faster, has better pokemon variety and has much less bile directed at it for those reasons.

Slow paced battles pretty much is the sole reason I dislike it. And I hated several of the dungeons. And the rival. And Rhyperior.

I do want to go back to it soon, though, because I think Sinnoh is one of the better designed regions. This thread has made me want to go back to Hoenn again, though lol

I mean people can talk shit on D/P/P all day but it still won't change the fact that it's the last Pokemon game with truly great tunes at the very least. Remember Pokemon music before all of the meaningless flourishes and nonsense sounds? Shit like this, I'd like just one route, just one in the newer games that even matches up to that
Hey guys can we go back to listing our favorite designs from each gen?

pU3jTos.png
For me it'd be Zapdos, Steelix, Tropius, Honchkrow, Golurk, and Zygarde

I must be the only guy in the whole world who liked each and every single one of Gen IV's new evos

Clearly little boys have poor taste in fun.

Well you get to search for the Legendary Birds roaming around, he was looking for Zapdos.

The first mention of them being in X/Y I saw also mentioned them having Mega Forms.

Yeah, I here ya. I did like the Z legendary, other than it's typing. I've criticized this game a lot considering I may still try it at some point, but I think the Gym leaders and champion look kind of silly too, always ridiculous clothing/hair/glasses/cape. The last ice gym leader, Wulfric or something, looks tight though.

Maybe I'm just too old for this sh*t.

I thought the lore was the worst ( Arceus is literally god ), I don't really remember much of the region besides the big mountain and caves in the middle, and well there are only about 5 pokemon I like in the generation of D/P/Pt. Also making 2 of the pokemon I like Event pokemon was a mistake. I will never go to any event .. thank god this stuff can now happen via wifi download from home.

Not surprisingly, this gen's new pokemon are a disappointment overall like the last two gens. There are a few winners like the tree and Aegislash (cool ability), but come on. Keys are a pokemon now? What's next? An Alarm Clock pokemon? A telephone pokemon? A magazine pokemon? Only 1 new poison type that's not only exclusive to Y and but has an underwhelming design? And I don't like the pseudo legendary. I'm not a fan of the design, It's typing is lame, it evolves at level 70 which is all but assured to be post game, and it's stats aren't really that impressive for a pseudo legendary.
It's not a key pokemon, it's a fairy pokemon that steals and/or is given keys from people. The keys are no different from marowak holding a bone or farfetch'd holding a leek.

Nah. Its just opinion. To each his own. Ive been here since gen I and Ive never been more hype.

Yeah, if you're starting to think character designs are too ridiculous and over-the-top in a Pokemon game, there's a serious mismatch between expectations and reality somewhere along your train of thought.

I also can't help but feel a little sorry for you that you can't enjoy that kind of silliness and need something more "grounded" to provide your entertainment.

That's a little unfair. I've been playing Pokemon from day one and I've definitely noticed that the big players in the game are getting more and more ridiculous looking each generation. I mean, what's up with Iris?

Kanto is probably the most boring region. It really is just city after city connected by short and uncreative routes. Give me Hoenn or bust.

We don't know story details yet though. Leakers sped through the game.
Reviews didn't look at it positively. Basically they generally said it was child-friendly (rather than all-ages friendly). Not a good sign. There is still a reason I am not spoiling myself on story.

This this this this

I am bored of Kanto and Johto. Give me that gorgeous, lushious Hoenn remake!

That's kind of weird, since we've seen a pic of a cut-scene that straight up says that Pokemon were killed for Yveltal.
