Wait, he's confirmed 3000 years old? That's amazing lol.

The game talks about some dude discovering Mega Evolutions 3000 years ago.

AZ uses Torkoal (a long-living animal), Golurk, and Sigilyph, all ancient Pokemon.

Did Nintendo seriously put a whole store out of business and made people lose their jobs because the internet got spoilers of a children's RPG? I agree that they shouldn't have sold it early, but come on.

Hey, has anyone found the stones yet for:

- Mega Kangashkan
- Mega Absol
- Mega Ampharos
- Mega Mawile
- Mega Lucario
- Mega Venusaur
- Mega Blastoise
- Mega Charizard X
- Mega Charizard Y
- Mega Mewtwo X
- Mega Mewtwo Y

Do we know where each of these stones are located in the game? Because if a significant chunk of them remain unknown, I suppose there's a high chance that other Mega Stones may be hidden in the game, as well, and not merely gated off for events.

He's trying to figure out how to evolve Eevee into Sylveon.

I'd love it if there was a "Snoreon" evolution if you overfed your Eevee. :-P

Male Gardevoirs are just one of those weird game quirks where if they could start over, they'd just have males turn right into Gallade, but they have to keep the integrity of the prior games intact.

Its because gallade and froslass was introduced a gen later and even had to use a stone to evolve them. Its more that gallade and froslass were an afterthought a gen later and they usually strictly avoid retconning evolutionary methods with the only exception I can think of so far being Milotic (and even then thats more of a here is this *other* way to evolve it using this new item) .

Even so, wouldn't have just been easier to let either gender evolve into the alternate evolution.

Also, why isn't there a Mega Gallade with a tuxedo

Favourite designs for each gen...hmmm

Gen I: Tie between Charizard and Dragonite

Gen II: Typhlosion

Gen III: Rayquaza

Gen IV: Lucario

Gen V: Haxorus

VP leaker got Ampharosite from an old dude near a beach. You get Lucarioite along with Lucario from Korrinna.

I think Sycamore gives you stones for the Kanto Starter and Mewtwo, and you apparently can buy the other Kanto Starter Stones from a store in Lumiose?

Normal's immunity to ghost just became more important due to steel losing it's resistances though. And it's a decent STAB for neutral coverage. Fire/Normal is the only (currently) type combination that resists fairy/ghost, for instance, and Normal/Ground hits most pokémon neutrally

Steel still resists normal however. Normal is one of those types that are super easy to wall. Normal/Ground does little when the premiere physical wall is Skarmory. Fire/Normal has a shit ton of other weaknesses. Seriously, it has the defensive capabilities of a wet paper towel. Normal types usually aren't paired with great base stat totals either. I can only think of Blissey and Togekiss; the latter will be quite something if it turns out to be fairy/flying. Resists both Garchomp's STAB and fire. Yikes.

Ok that is my issue, like if you gonna make a boy only one , then make the other one girl only.

But if one can be both genders, why can I not have a female galade.

And the same thing about frosslass. Its just extra work for the guy who wants one.
Then you should want Game Freak to make female Gallades possible, not transform male Gardevoirs in females. That is ridiculous.
I didn't mind the feminine design, I was just kind of hoping for a more animilistic design and less of an anthropomorphic one.

That is a fair reason for disliking Delphox, unlike "omg it looks feminine ew".

I personally like anthropomorphic Pokémon and dislike the ones that look too much like animals, so Delphox is 10/10 to me.

Game freak likes coming up with new evolution methods, they wanted to make gender specific alternate evos of these two pokemon perhaps to go along with some of the other gender diferences they did with that generation, they also at times lack foresight as can be seen in a lot of stuff they do.

fix'd

I don't think this is the right way, probably also having a special attack and a certain level or a fairy team partner will be the right way

It would be a brand new evolution method that doesn't conflict any used in the past and having a fairy seem reasonable, but it doesn't feel like an eeveelution method to me.

Interesting, so the Mega Stones for Mawile, Absol, Kangaskhan, and Garchomp remain undiscovered. And did anyone ever find the stones for Gardevoir and Gyarados, or were those two just seen in battle?

With so many stones left to find, it would seem there could be stones left in-game for Mega Evolutions we don't even know about yet.

Gen 1: Starters
Honorable mention: Mewtwo

Gen 2: Suicune

Gen 3: Metagross = fucking awesome
Honorable mention: Salamence and Starters

Gen 4: Starters

Gen 5: Haxorus

Gen 6: Noivern so far but I do like Greninja

Are we still posting favorite designs?

Gen I - Ninetails. When I was 14, I thought it was super majestic and I made sure to play Blue first so I could catch and raise a Vulpix.

Gen II - Xatu. I had a thing for totem poles at the time, it looks like it belongs on a totem pole... Yeah.

Gen III - Absol. One of my favorite Pokemon ever is also one of my favorite designs of all time.

Gen IV - Froslass. I can't ask for better than a snow-woman in a kimono. I just need to catch a Snowrunt that's female, now...

Gen V - Whimsicott. It's a puffy white afro; do I really need to explain this? It's so :D and cute, and the main reason I'm hunting for a Shiny Cottonee right now.

Gen VI - Verdict is still out, but for now, I'll say Goomy. I love it. To me, it's amazing.

I think it is pretty safe to say there are plenty of undiscovered Megas.

Gen 1: Arcanine, Blastoise, Jolteon, Raichu or Zapdos
Gen 2: Typhlosion, Umbreon or Lugia
Gen 3: Blaziken, Sceptile, Metagross
Gen 4: Infernape
Gen 5: Eelektross, Hydreigon, Volcarona
Gen 6: Greninja

Yeah, it's really hard for me to pick favorites.

I think Mega Gyrados and Mega Gardevoir were used by the Elite Four.

That suggest the Steel and Fire have a Pokemon possible who can go Mega, but for whatever reason they weren't seen, I'm guessing they only use them in certain circumstances and it's possible to knock them out first. Kanpachi didn't see Mega Gyrados, but whoever posted the picture did see one it seems in the E4 Battle.

I'm sure there are a decent amount of Megas left, no way there'd only be four left we didn't know about (Abomasnow, Gardevoir, Gyrados, and Gengar)

My friends talking about a Season Pass for Pokemon X and Y. He said that his local Gamestop told him about it. Has anyone else heard about this?

Nope. It's a filthy, damnable lie. Unless we're talking about pokebank which is a storage service that costs 5 dollah a year and that doesn't really fit the definition at all.

I'd guess they can mega evolve Scizor, Chandelure, Druddigon (wasn't it confirmed?) and Gyarados.

I checked, it seems "Zar" said she found stones for Heracross, Druddigon, and Galvantula on /vp/, however, she doesn't use a Trip, so there's no certainty it's her unless she posts pictures.
