There kind of is with the EXP share option, have the game auto level everyone for you - or do it the "old fashioned" way and train you team on an individual basis.

This is the only thing I'm ever disappointed from Pokemon games. I would love difficulty selection that's available from the start.

Zygarde should have been dragon/poison since Jormungandr killed Thor with poison, but I suppose Ground would be more effective against Thor in this universe
As far as I know there aren't any ice or mirrors hin Fenrir's mythos, but he was held captive by a ribbon. Are there any special ribbons in the game?
It's kinda weird they did Zygarde as Jormungandr. The trio would have made more sense with Nidhogg since Jormungandr, Fenrir, and Hel are there own trio being the children of Loki that bring about Ragnarok.
Hel was imprisoned in Hel, which is where Christian Hell came from, but it's a frozen place. Maybe Hel and Fenrir have been combined.
Of course, Sleipner, Odin's 6-leged horse, was also Loki's child, but Loki was the mother in that case.

The implementation was terrible. Should just be a thing you select when starting the game. Choose your gender, your name, and the difficulty. Harder difficulty bumps up levels, adds more pokemon to trainers for key fights like rival, gym, and e4, and makes the AI actually do smart things like switch or play smart.

Well, if we turn the Exp Share thing off, shouldn't it pose a decent challenge? I was thinking of doing that.
Difficulty selection was a good feature implemented extremely badly in 'third version'-equivalent games. It was never likely to feature in X&Y :/
Wish they would bring it back, and do it properly.
Makes it sound more like a gameplay mechanic than a hidden secret :/
Still hope we get something like a wolf legendary somewhere along the track.

Hopefully we get a Fenrir. Sucks it seems like he'll be an event one. Probably need an event/mystery gift item to take to the mirror.
I still can't see how they thought having a challenge mode and easy mode only being usable after the main game and being version exclusive was a good idea lol.

Really disappointed since squirrels are one of my favorite animals. At least the Ice wolf rumors seem valid!

Nidhoggr is sometimes described as a serpent, too. With the other two being part of the Yggdrasil legend, it's not unreasonable to assume Zygarde is still based on Nidhoggr. And the ground typing makes sense in that case due to its position at the roots.
I suppose it makes an artificial challenge.
In B2W2 trainers and such used items and stronger Pokemon, it made the game a lot better. (For me, anyway.) It's weird because you could trade the key and use it at the start of the game and go through it in Challenge mode, but why did they make it so difficult to get the option in the first place. Black 2 got the challenge key, white 2 the easy key. You had to trade it to another game. It's baffling that they didn't make it just a selectable option when starting the game, and how it didn't carry over to X and Y.

I heard that the item doesn't work on hidden abilities. I guess it makes sense but it's stupid.
If it doesn't allow for hidden abilities that would suck. I wonder how we're supposed to get them, unless the revamped PGL will have some way of getting them (doesn't seem like Dream World is happening this gen though...)
Cute Charm should have just been a passive 20% chance every turn that the opponent becomes infatuated.

I'm starting to think that Borukeinion (Volcanion) is an event or just something else entirely. There's no fire type in Gen VI that hasn't been named in Japanese except for Delphox and Fletchinder (watch it be Fletchinder lol). Or GF might throw a curveball and it will a Pokemon that isn't even fire type and the name has a different meaning.
The reason I'm leaning towards Jormungandr is because Jormungandr was the Midgard Serpent though maybe that wasn't their intent. Jormungandr would fit more as a poison type anyway since that was its thing.
