The roamer-map-thing was kind of neat, but nothing tops the C-Gear. Anywhere you want, touch "Battle", point at your friend for a second, and bam. No running back to the Pokemon center. No shuffling around your team for trading. It was just so great and fast.

...Come to think of it, is IR functionality still in this game? Probably not, right?

I don't see why they had to take out the useful stuff. The itemfinder (or whatever it is now) works like that stuff used to, why couldn't the rest of it be in there? I'm not the kind to be battling people in person all the time, so those features are wasted on me.

Oh, I like him. I don't dislike any Pokémon, to be honest. But design-wise, he is a bit on the simple side. I was kind of surprised when I saw him because I could've swore a creature more or less exactly like Goomy already existed in some other game/TV/movie.

Pretty much. Cool typing, neat dex entry and a good design for variety's sake for a Fairy type. Unfortunately it doesn't evolve and it has weak stats. Good defense & special defense but weak in everything else. A weaker version of Shuckle really.

Ha, that is quite adorable. "Goomy, pls," lol, just like the Dolan comics.

Probably another controversial "opinion" is I put Honedge and Doublade as "GREAT" and Aegislash as "Good." I found the design more eye-catching when it was an intricate scabbard or two. Once he changes to a single, simpler scabbard with ribbon arms holding a shield, he doesn't look as interesting, even if the concept of the "Shield" and "Sword" forms is inspired. Maybe it's the brown color scheme.

But again, I like every Pokémon on some level, and I only continue to warm up to them.

On one hand, yes I totally agree with you and I would love if it happened. But I would cry thinking how much time, effort, and money went into something that only the most hardcore fans would even notice, especially considering how scattershot the Pokemon games have been when it comes to retaining good features.

The game is complete. It wouldn't be a patch per se, it'd just be an unlock key. Y'know, to leave some new content on launch day just in case of leaks and whatnot.

I hope the game turns out to be everything you guys hope for. I haven't played a Pokemon since the originals came out, but this one looks like a true evolution for the series, which is pretty cool. I may even check this one out, as an actually 3D Pokemon game might be kind of cool.
