Something I just thought of because I haven't heard mention of it in awhile. Have we got it locked down how mega evolving works? Can you do it when you see fit or is it automatic when you put the mon into battle with the conditions met? How does health work? Do they heal completely when they evolve or do they keep the same % of health?

How do you all think we will get these mega stones?

Could they be, like, really rare hold items on Pokemon you catch?

Seems like we wont get all of them through story mode.

They said you'd find them, but they'd be hidden around, some are probably hidden rather well, and I wouldn't be surprised if many of them don't appear till the Post Game.

So I guess there will be no gen V mega evolutions or have we found any gen V mega stones? I've heard mega Druddigon is a thing but I'm not sure. I wanna see it!

Its going to be so hard to choose which pokemon gets the awakened form. >.<

I guess the best way is to just have one pokemon that can megavolve per team?

I wonder what some of the advantages of not megavolving capable pokemon would be, because at this point I really dont see a reason. Except maybe Garchomp since he looses some speed.

I'd rather have a team of all pokemon that can mega evolve. Keeps my opponent on his/her toes because they won't know who will be my one.

Pinsir
Jynx
Scizor
Houndoom
Heracross
Medicham
Banette
Latios
Latias

There are probably more that we don't know about as well.

All About Pokemon Figures updated that trademark list as they found a lot more.

They think these are the most likely ones based on when the Trademark was registered...

Charizard,
Gengar,
Jynx,
Gyarados,
*Ampharos,
Scizor,
Tyranitar,
Gardevoir,
Medicham,
Banette,
Abomasnow,
Kyogre,
Kecleon,
Latias,
Latios,
*Blaziken,
Pinsir
,Aerodactyl
,Houndoom
,Groudon
,*Kangaskhan
,Aggron
,Plusle
,Minun,
Sceptile,*
Blastoise
,Rayquaza
,* Absol,
Heracross

If Garchomp and Tyranitar have a Mega Evolution, I think it would be fair to say that Salamence, Dragonite, Hydreigon and Metagross would have one too. Then again, they could easily save Salamence and Metagross for the inevitable Hoenn remake.

Gengar getting one means that Alakazam should. They always seemed connected in my mind, and Alakazam is one of the most popular Kanto Pokemon anyway. Arcanine really should have one but I'm not going to hold my breath. Arbok is another Kanto Pokemon I'd love to get a Mega Evolution.

So, did any of the rumors that hit the 70 Pokemon on the head mention Mega Evolution count? I've seen claims one of those mentioned 40 Megas, but I don't recall seeing that.

Guys, I found a pic of Mega Jynx!!

...why are there only shitty pictures of Mega Aggron and Mega Tyranitar?

They couldn't get better ones or in a battle?

If they were gonna do a mega Groudon why not a mega Lugia, Ho-oh, bird/beast trio, mew, celebi, rayquaza or kyogre. I'd think most if not all of those were more popular and design wise would be more beneficial than Groudon.

Do those balloons really confirm anything?
Yes, the balloons confirm Mega Evolutions because the balloons consist of shaded models and these models are labeled Tyranitar and Aggron, yet they look like all-new versions of those creatures, like Space Godzilla and Super Shredder, respectively.

And dear lord are they wonderful. Aggron is one of my favorite designs, and his souped-up "Super Shredder" does not disappoint. I dig the egg-like armor, the blades on the shoulders and gauntlets, and the samurai-like helmet. I don't know if his stats, ability and/or typing have changed to his advantage, but I WANT HIM!

On a side note: Has this game's equivalent of Battle Frontier, etc, been uncovered yet? If so, I bet you have to beat the elite trainers there to acquire some of the Mega Stones.

The trademark list is spot-on so far. Expect to see any of the following next:

  • Pinsir
  • Jynx
  • Scizor
  • Houndoom
  • Heracross
  • Medicham
  • Banette
  • Latios
  • Latias
I could see them holding onto Mega Latios and Mega Latias as an event. One for X, and one for Y. Downloadable at Gamestop for a limited time!

Guys, I found a pic of Mega Jynx!!
Confirmed fake ages ago.

It seems Game Freak are focusing on the first three gens most when it comes to Mega Evolutions. Gen VII will likely be the Pokemon of Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos's time to shine.

If I were a betting man, I'd wager that Mega Evolutions + 69 new Pokemon + event legendaries would put us somewhere between Gen 2 and Gen 4, in terms of Pokemon number.

There are probably more that we don't know about as well.

I'm pretty sure they said something about Scizor, Heracross, Druddigon, Medicham and Galvantula MegaStones.
I know at least that the bolded were considered "confirmed" in 4chan

Wouldn't it be funny if those balloons are just balloons, guys?

The ultimate troll.

My Kanto Pokemon of choice for mega evolution is obvious.

It would've been perfect. :(

It seems the Super Training Balloons change into different Pokemon.

The second time Josh used it, it changed into Noibat which he hasn't even seen yet in his game.

Wouldn't it be funny if those balloons are just balloons, guys?
As I keep saying...WHY the hell would Game Freak spend time coming up with new designs for Tyranitar and Aggron, as well as make 3D models of them if they were just going to be used in a mini-game?

Seriously?

Why would GameFreak make a balloon of Tyranitar, and label it Tyranitar, but inexplicably give Tyranitar wings and new armor? And why would GameFreak make a balloon of Aggron, and label it Aggron, but give it new armor, wrist-blades, shoulder-blades, and a new helmet?
