Chespin would have high chances of never evolving even if Ash catches it.
Also, Brock's Mudkip evolved

Ash will get a Chespin eventually. It'll be obtained later in the series I'm sure. Though, it's pretty obvious he does get Froakie first, judging by the trailers. Which is awesome!
Sadly, I doubt he'll ever evolve it.
I don't know about Froakie not evolving, I get the feeling that Greninja is going to be the Kalo version of Charizard.
But what I want to know, will any of Ash's Pokémon will mega evolve?
He currently has 4 Pokémon that can, though 3 of them need to evolve into their final form first.
Hope not because the last time that happen we didn't get to see Brock's Marshtomp evolve into Swampert.
Hell we barely even saw Mudkip.

Ash has gotten the Grass starter in every generation, so I can see him getting Chespin.
I really wish we had a better anime, or the series went in a different direction. Now it's just routine garbage, and somehow Ash is suffering from a brain injury that makes him dumber every generation.
And yet, I can't stop watching it.
By the way, if you thought the way he lost the Sinnoh League was insulting, where they created a character that had a Darkrai and Latios and was impossibly cheap? Unova League was way worse.
Prior to the League starting, we were introduced to Cameron, a trainer that manages to be DUMBER than Ash. First time we see him, he missed the tournament arc we just saw (not too stupid). But when Dawn leaves for Johto on a boat, he arrives after it leaves, believing the Unova League took place in Johto, and the revealed he only had seven badges, believing that's all you needed!
He gets his eighth badge from Marlon (that's how they got him into the show), then later at the League, he forgets to register and does it at the last minute, and in the battle with Ash, he only brings five Pokemon. Despite that handicap, CAMERON STILL WINS!
Do the writers think kids are stupid? That's my guess. Still, nowhere as bad as the fucking Mary Sue Paul. No Cynthia, that's not a "special training method", he's an abusive asshole!

I think with Sinnoh the writer had to come up with a way to make Ash lost but they did it so badly.
What they should have done is have Ash fight Cynthia, which would have been much better.

Richie was at least likeable enough not to make you want to crush him into a bloody pulp.

Yeah, but last time Ash got more than one starter none of them evolved into their last forms and the only one who evolved, was basically the starter most people didn't want to see evolving (Tepig). That is why I hope he gets only Froakie and evolve it all the way into Greninja. Though I wouldn't mind he catching both Froakie and Chespin, if both evolve like his Chimchar and Turtwig evolved in DP (best saga of the anime btw).
How is it that Ash's most impressive accolade is still beating the then-undefeated champion/leader Drake to win the Orange League nearly fourteen years ago? The anime writers have crafted the illusion of progress down to a damn science; we need more Origins-esque episodes to cover Kalos.
Agreed. As dumb as Ash's loss was (Squirtle gets put to sleep, considered KO'd), at least Richie was a pretty cool guy. Cameron is someone from that alternate universe of people in infomercials that are too dumb to figure out basic items.
Worst part is that Orange Islands is still filler (outside of catching Snorlax). Meaning the only time Ash won something, it doesn't count!

They don't have legends or myths about them, unlike most legendaries.
The birds are just random roaming legendaries in every game they appear, so they still lack development.

That's because there's nothing special about the legendary birds, so I don't see why they should come back just because they don't have legends or myths they had their chance in the gen 1 remake and in the gen 2 remake but didn't.

So seeing Gen V images I saw what looked like two trios...I guess that could be a GF excuse (the clouds are three, those other 3 erm...four legged things I guess could be related).
I liked the Regis in Gen 3 but only the unlocking part really, not so much the design. It was interesting to read the braille and see you had to do playground rumour type stuff. I would have liked to see more of that rather than "hey roaming legendaries, hope you like running in grass with max repel cos you'll be doing A LOT of that"...
...Or maybe a bit less.

This gen's trio is Xerneas/Yveltal/Zygarde and they are cooler than previous trios. X/Y went back to the basics when we only had one trio and maybe a mewtwo equivalent and a pixie.
Yeah and they had their chance in the Kanto and Jotho remake, I don't see why we shouldn't have a new legendary trios because Game Freak didn't give them a story in the game.
I am just hoping that the leaker somehow missed the Kalo legendary trios because they are harder to find.
The BW legendaries were so terrible that I'm perfectly fine with the birds.
Plus I thought they were related to Lugia in the same way the three dogs are related to Ho-oh?
Also, Gen II had the best batch of legendaries. The concept started spiraling out of control after that and I'm really really glad they appear to be reigning it in. Thank god for Megaevolutions. Also the two box legendaries for XY are actually quite nice.

You people are crazy, calling GEN III the worst, when its in fact the best.
Gen 3 (in terms of region and creature design) is only not considered the worst because Gen 1 holds up so poorly.
