:lol

Overall, the game is shaping up to be pretty good. The first thing you'll notice is how it takes a lot from the Diablo formula. A few other upcoming RPGs seem to be doing the same, but Too Human is one of the few that actually does it good. It doesn't tamper with what still works today, and revamps what is outdated. So far, the result seems to be a fun and simple enough game for anyone to enjoy, yet a deep enough RPG for hardcore gamers' thirsts to be sated.

man I have really been looking forward to this game. Despite its recent subpar showings, I think it will turn out decent....at least rental worthy...

Last I heard, it was supposed to be something like Devil May Cry. When did it become something like Diablo?

Just imagine what it'll be next week.

I hear there are auditions for a new Final Fantasy.

Those screens look really nice.

I'm still really looking forward to this game, I hope it turns out great.

I really like the idea of the game. Not only the single-player and mythology put into the future, but the online Co-Op and grinding for new weapons and armor as well. Like people mentioned, it's sort of borrowing a bit from the Diablo formula. It'll definitely be a purchase for me unless something happens like...The controls and camera which I admit are going to make or break the game completely make it unplayable, but I don't think SK would let that happen.

It's a mix of elements from various games.

The skill tree upgrade path style from Bioware games.

The loot gathering from Diablo.

A little Devil May Cry/God of War style combat, but not exactly.

What gets overlooked are the enemy robotic hordes you fight, and all the intresting variation.

TH.net: From screenshots we have seen it also appears that there are a lot of subclasses or variants amongst the various races as well – particularly with the monsters.

Dyack: Yeah, subclasses and units within the races. Essentially, they break down into other variants statistically and in gameplay mechanics. You may have a simple melee goblin… first, there are three types of goblins, the melee goblins, the goblins that fire missiles, and then the leader goblins that are invulnerable while on the ground. But on top of that there are special variants, like the goblins that glow red that you see in the demo level. They explode when you destroy them, so if you melee those guys it is bad news. But if you destroy them while they are far away then they explode and destroy enemies around them. Some other things you may or may not have noticed this early are enemies that you hit and then they shoot out an EMP where all the enemies will freeze. There are many, many, many variants like that, and they will carry over to all of the different classes within that race. It is pretty robust in that way. The goal was to try and vary it so that players had to make quick on the fly decisions about whether they should be using their guns, or their missile weapons, or their melee weapons… or if they are in a group have all of those play upon each other. It’s going to be very interesting because all of the leader enemies have their own effects and traits that affect their entire unit. So when you start stacking all of those up together it can become quite nasty for the player.

Also the upgrade paths within in class are intresting. The "spider" that you carry can evolve in different ways. Like being a shield barrier, a gun turret, or laying down mines.

TH.net: The skill trees are still an area where little is known; explain how players will progress through the character evolution.

Henry: The skill trees are full character evolution. They allow your character to progress, earn new skills, power up those new skills that you earn, and you can take different paths through the skill trees. So, similar to what you would see in a Fire Mage or an Ice Mage [in a MMO], you will have different types of alignments of each of the classes that are in Too Human. It’s going to give it a lot more diversity. So you may be a Defender, and another guy might be a Defender, but you could have a totally different focus. It really pays off. The skill trees have things that will benefit the whole group or the whole party. The co-op is really ingrained in the game design and it really plays off each other.

The other thing that you will be able to do is power up your spider. He gives you some secondary abilities, things like shields, mines, turrets and a lot of other tactical stuff. Different classes have different amounts of spider abilities and different amounts of savvy within the spider skills.

I want to cap that off with the other end of progression, which is the items. You will be able to get items across all levels; items of different rarity types, different bonuses on them. So you’ll be able to customize your character through skill trees, sub skill trees, items, loot… all that stuff.

HIRE FUCKING EDITORS, SHITPRO.

I don't mind the occassional fanboi spelling, White Man. At the same time, I hate it when a review feels like a carbon copy (i.e. rubber stamp review) from "Insert Any Website Here".

Still.......I understand what you were saying though.
