And which Pokemon not featured in the Kalos regional Pokedex have we confirmed as being available via Friend Safari?

No one knows yet.

Like I said, the postgame is par for the course (as big as your typical post game that isn't third version, and I doubt it could match BW2's greatness)

well shit

That Chesnaught fan art is incredible, Boss Doggie. :O

I love the second to the last one.

So I read on /vp/ that

the war 3,000 years ago, where Yyvetal/Xerneas died, also killed off many of the Pokemon native to the Kalos Region and it's implied that a lot of species migrated in afterwards, or originated after that period. That screams to me like more to be introduced in the 3rd version when Zygarde brings balance.

Anyway, no idea how accurate it is, thought it was interesting nevertheless.

Bahahahaha no. I'll take one fully developed region than two lackluster regions.

Rather Pokemon-amie than a .

Hey if you'd rather finger your Pokemon than have a legitimately cool feature that's your deal man. They'll replace it with crafting your Pokemon into clothes next gen, and you can decry the removal of your molestation minigame like I do Pokemon following you.

So now Pokemon-amie is sexual stuff huh? Had to go that way just to make it look bad huh?

And it is objectively better by virtue of affecting main game battles. Following Pokemon has like... leaf crown. Not to mention slowing down during transition.

Step it up.

Rather Pokemon-amie than a pointless feature that slowed you down.

Then you have awful taste, it's as simple as that. I can understand them not wanting pokemon to walk behind you this time since the game is rendered in 3D and having some giant ass pokemon behind you would be impossible but it not being present in any of the Gen V games is an abomination. They already had most of the sprites for the earlier pokemon, all that was left was for the new fifth gen ones. Also slow you down? How did your pokemon even slow you down all because they were behind you? I never experienced anything of the sort.

Also say whatever you want about Johto and Kanto in G/S/C, the games remain to be the only one with two regions which means twice as many gym badges which for a kid is some earth shattering stuff, and all that extra stuff to explore. Yeah it was sort of empty, but who cares it was awesome going back to it anyway. As for fully developed, Johto was a really interesting region that had a lot of fun quirks and areas that would take a while to come back, I don't see how you say it wasn't as developed as say Kanto was in the original game.

Stop breaking GAF damnit!

They actually have overworld sprites, those Gen 5 mons. They were slowing you down on certain transitions since they always have to return to the ball (this is prevalent in big mons) and even using HM moves they take up more animation times because you have to move back. And awful taste? You can't tell that to someone who likes the best gen as far as mechanics are involved (so far).

And that's the beauty of being able to look back at something for its worth. You can now look at old things and assess them if they were actually good or not. Remove the fluff like "as a kid" or "memories!" since you know kids will also enjoy a much more developed region as well. The way they lay it out shows how terrible a multi-region game would be because of level distribution and stuff.

Yveltal = Evangelion style.

You faint Yveltal and everything is peacefully nothing.

Oh and the gym leader theme sounds really tense. Really different style of music for a Pokemon game. Really like how the wild and trainer battle themes sound like they would be right at home in the early anime episodes.

EDIT: Maybe its just a bit of energy from everything?

You helped that by posting that questionable Pokemon-amie fanart which helped put the community thread on lockdown.

Oh snap! But I don't honestly consider Amie "sexual", I just loved Pokemon following you in Heart Gold. Helps me feel more connected to my party than Nintendogs-lite ever could. And, as I said earlier, Amie will likely be scrapped for the next game too.

Whoa whoa whoa, there are people belittling Pokémon Amie? It's a brilliant feature. Forming a strong bond with your Pokémon has always been a theme in the series but until Pokémon Amie there were few ways to spend peaceful downtime with your Pokémon. Now you can pet them like a cat or dog, feed them and just be friends! Bringing in that Nintendogs element is a smart move by GameFreak that is thematically appropriate and a lot of fun. :)

au contraire

It was actually someone else who posted it in OT2. I just brought it back since I thought it was safe to post, since someone posted it in OT2. Or was it in the PokeBomb thread?

And I doubt they'd remove it. Sylveon's evolution is tied to it. Sure you could argue about Milotic, but beauty stats were kept apparently. If anything I'd reckon they'd upgrade it over the future gens.

all so Pit can make more puns in the next Kid Icarus game

I preferred taking my "dog" for a walk.

Ahhh, I fondly remember wasting a day trying to find a Feebas and then trying to raise it's beauty up. It was worth it just to get Milotic. #Hoenndabest

Honestly, I think they should have both. For a Pokémon Z, or X2/Y2, or RSE remakes, or whatever, I'd like to see chibi-style 3D models for every Pokémon, not unlike the trainers themselves, so you can have your Pokémon follow you around. And when you turn around to interact with them and check their mood, it transitions to Pokémon Amie.

Yeah both! Both would be fine! I mean theoretically it should be easy now they don't have to individually draw each and every sprite. Couldn't they shrink/make lower quality models of the ones you have in battle? Some of the sprites they did were so cool looking. It's everything I dreamed of when playing Yellow.

Nice thing about the "chibi" style is the proportions/sizes don't have to be accurate. They can shrink them down and roughly approximate their general shape with less detail and scaled to not exceed the chibi-trainer by much. It'd take some work, sure -- longer Pokémon like Wailord would be trickiest -- but once they do it, it can carry over to every successive title, and make them all feel more like the show where you're on an adventure with your Pokémon. :)

Delphox's ear fur should've been on fire, I don't care how stupid it would've looked, a fire starter needs fire somewhere on its body.

It's the only Fire starter Pokemon whose final evolution doesn't show a fiery part. Unless its ear fluffs become inflamed.
