Figures. Just as I went to my prediction post to make changes I cross-checked Serebii and they've already got Voltorb & Electrode plugged into their Mountain Dex in the slots I was eyeing right after the Magnezone line.

MOUNTAIN DEX

072: Voltorb
073: Electrode

Now I'm positive that the other two lines are going to wind up here as well.

Additionally, I can pass along the following confirmed returnees...

COASTAL DEX

099: Starly
100: Staravia
101: Staraptor
102: Stunky
103: Skuntank

21 open regional Dex slots remain.
Someone on vp said that 99-101 belongs to the Aaron family.

Those slots are still open on the Mountain Dex. I can plug those in as well. Doubt they'd BS about that.
Thanks for the tip! We were expecting the Aggron family in here somewhere with the Mega reveal so no surprises there.

You have failed me Gourgeist! I wanted you to be a Special Attacker.

Technically, a criticalling Blizzard is going to be better. Obviously it's not the clear choice in every situation, but there are abilities/moves/items to boost those odds.
120*0.85 = 102
110*0.85 = 93.5

120*0.7 = 84
110*0.7 = 77

Thunderbolt/Ice Beam/Flamethrower BP = 95

Unless you're running accuracy boosts or the appropriate weather there's no reason to use them anymore. Maybe they've changed something else we don't know about yet

Wasn't that Raquaza's thing?

I'm torn on how bad/good Zydarde is. At first I thought he was some generic bug or something , didn't even look legendary. But seeing him in 3D and the way he just sits there silently in a barren cavern just waiting for you to come after him gives off a Final Fantasy-secret weapon boss vibe.

I feel like Rayquaza governs the aerial ecosystem (it lives in the ozone layer, according to a dex entry) while Zygarde potentially governs the grounded Kalos ecosystem. Rayquaza is pretty much the only living thing that survives that consistently in orbit, while Zygarde's governing area is full of life.

Rayquaza seems more like a primordial being that came to be for a lone purpose (as a Groudon / Kyogre counter), while Zygarde is more of a deliberate, calculated sort. Could also stand as a testament to their origin mythologies.

Okay, the Hitmon family has already been completely ruled out. I'm also sending Castform, the Clefairy line (again), the Togepi line (not buying the rumor that he's in here; would have been backed up with proof by now) and the Whimsicott line to the showers.

New entrants include the Glalie / Froslass and Dusknoir lines.

Torchic and other "event" pokemon releases will not have a slot in any Regional Dex. Only the National Dex.

Don't agree at all with nerfing Blizzard, Fireblast and Thunder. There's no incentive now to choose them oveer Thunderbolt and the others.

The Champion theme is very... upbeat and chimey, no sense of doom or dread like you're about to be stomped by someone who is superior to you. Still good though, I still find Blue/Cynthia's themes are the best to offer for Champion themes.
