Nooo heracross you're supposed to be in X!!!

Oh well, at least Mightyena and Houndoom are.

Seems like the rumors of mega tyranitar and aggron are not true or mixed up - since Aggron is in X and Tyranitar is in Y.

Wow, I was already getting Y Version because of Yveltal, and the fact that I always get the 'second' of the two games.

Great to know that most Pokemon that I have liked in previous games are exclusive to the version I'm getting. Makes the purchase even better. :)

hey, come on Gamefreak, Aggron isn't even close to Tyranitar in power!
What about Garchomp or Salamence or one of Tyranitar's actual peer Pokemon and not a random three stage Pokemon with the same body type but otherwise is completely different...

Unless Gamefreak is trying to convince us that Aron's line is in the same vein as Bagon, Gible and Dratini... ehh...

Scizor's new toy? sorry if old.

If it blocks the Fire attack from going out, I can see this being a godsend for Scizor. If not, then meh.

Yeah, unless the Aron line got some sort of massive stat buff, I can't see that being accurate. They're usually good about having pseudo's available universally or making it an even trade. We'll see though.

I wonder where this information's coming from.

This move sounds pretty violent, I wonder what the animation for it looks like?

The Pokemon suddenly bursts into flames?
I'm guessing, I'm guessing the powder is Gun Powder. Ferrothorn would love it also.

He is in terms of coolness.

Crap, I know I'm getting X but I need a pupitar and if the Bagon-Salamence line is in Y I'll be devastated. Like seriously emotionally scarred and devastated for life.

Luckily I have a friend getting X so I'll just berate him to give me a Pupitar and Heracross and potentially a Bagon if that's the case.

I have X. I have capture a Lairon. Tyranitar line registered as "Area unknown". Same with Pinsir/Heracross

Joe, questions!

1. Is there any way to view the names of Pokemon in other language within the game? Do you know their foreign names?

2. I notice you've got Vanillite listed as "Ice", can you confirm this, or is there still a possibility its line might be Ice/Fairy? Are the types listed for other Pokemon, like Audino as Normal, 100% sure, or is there still the possible Fairy re-type.

3. Any clue on how many Mega Pokemon we have left to find? The small amount we have now can't be it, can it? No 5th Gen Evolutions, only 2 4th Gen Evolutions? And does the Poke Radar being in mean there's probably lots of other non-Kalos Dex Pokemon you can catch during the post-game?

So has anyone planned their team out?

I gave myself some rules like no overlapping types, only new pokemon, and there must be a fairy type somewhere. This is how mine looks

- Greninja - water/dark
- Talonflame - fire/flying
- Florges - fairy
- Dragalge - dragon/poison
- Aegislash - steel/ghost
- Heliolisk - electric/normal

Obvious questions: do you have confirmation of areas in Y? How far are you - does the Pokedex show availability in locations you don't have access to yet?

Well,Im off to my little place in china town once again in hopes I can get the game a bit early. Most likely wont get to play it today though since I come out of school pretty late but at least I got all day tomorrow :) well, you know, once i finish my programming homework which is a pain in the ass. shit takes forever to work properly

Jesus, people, it's not hard to trade for the other Pokémon. The only possible difficulty is acquiring Mega Stones not in your version (assuming they're not in all versions). And exclusive legendaries, of course. Other than that, EVERYONE IN GAF WILL HAVE EVERY POKEMON.

I won't even have the game until next year =(.

Why are you guys worrying about version exclusives?

That's what onlne trading is for lol. And one of the funner parts of the series.

Did you guys forget that online trading is available?

I know that X/Y is bringing back some lapsed Pokemon fans, but online trading has been available since Gen IV, guys.

Anyone interested in small tipbits?
- Fennekin starts with Scratch, Tail Whip and Ember. It learns Howl at level 10 and Flame Charge at level 14. Braixen learns Psybeam at level 18.
- Vine Whip has had a BP increase to 45
- There is a double battle restaurant in Lumiose City which judges you based on how many turns you take. It costs 3000 to enter. You can tip afterwards but I don't know what this does.
- Flabebe starts with Tackle, Vine Whip and Fairy Wind. It learns Lucky Chant at level 10 and Razor Leaf at level 15

You'll be able to get your Pokémon even quicker, then, since others will already have a steady supply of them handy. Just talk to your fellow Poké-bros here at GAF and we'll hook you up with whatever exclusives you're missing.

Starmie? Hell yes. One of my favorite Water types. No Heracross makes me sad but I guess I'll be looking to trade for him then.

Charizard
Salamence
Starmie
Tyrantrum
Gardevoir
(something)

Screw forcing myself to use new Pokemon.
