I know that X/Y is bringing back some lapsed Pokemon fans, but online trading has been available since Gen IV, guys.

Vivillon's pattern is based on your real-world region, right? I just evolved my Spewpa and got the Garden Pattern. I'm in England.

Makes me wonder if trainer ID number or other things (time of year/day) also plays a part.

Also, GTS works pretty well close to launch. Sure there are still loads of Level 9 Mewtwo requests (which will stays there until the end of time) but there also legitimate requests as lots of people want the version exclusives (for Gen IV popularity went starters>version exclusives).

I also wonder how well trading with passerby will work out as an alternative.

No lie, this is probably my most anticipated Pokemon...too bad it's encountered very late in the game it seems, but maybe I can find someone to give me a Bergmite early on.

2. It's Ice-type. Audino is Normal-type. Sorry.

3. A fair few I think. I'm just out of ideas where to find the stones. Hell, I don't even have half the officially revealed ones as it is.

Damn. I was hoping Vanilluxe would get a boost being part-Fairy. Do you have a complete list of all re-typed Fairy Pokemon though?

Well, you found the Gardvoirite on a traded Ralts, what about the other in-game Trades. Can't you trade for a Farfetch'd...you don't think...

Sorta like a reverse Type Change. While Type Change changes the user's type on the move that it is hit with, Protean changes the user's type on the move it uses.
 
My PAL version of X won't play on my JP system. Can anyone on here confirm otherwise? I have a friend who'd buy the game, but doesn't want to shell out for the console. I'd lend him my JP system if there's a workaround.

Off the top of my head:

Mime Jr. & Mr. Mime are now part fairy
Clefairy line, Snubbull line and Togepi line have been retyped as Fairy rather than Normal.

There may be a couple more that haven't been discovered yet
 
Great my friends who ordered at Amazon got their copies already and yet my local shop refuses to hand them out even though they sold me Blops 2 and GT5 early :(

from the text i get the impression it's on all the time.

It says of all pokemon in battle, so i wonder if this boost works if you withdraw it and shove out a fairy.. or just in double battles.. hmm..

Buy a Japanese version of the game, play it in English.
