Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | October 2013 | Ver 2000, Batman and some Angry Birds

LBP Vita apparently not up for consideration for IGC according to comments on the blog (Mentioned in the PS+ thread). Same story with Resistance it seems.
EU or NA? Do you have the exact comments? Because on the EU blog, while Fred will sometime respond to questions about whether or not a certain title is "safe" to buy for Plus members, he's always just talking about what's coming the next few months (because that's all that's been finalized). The only titles that are generally not in the running for Plus is those below 70% Metacritic rating, and those that are unavailable in the PSN stores of too many countries.

Seems to me Soul Sacrifice. Everybody's Golf and Escape Plan are the only titles Sony could wheel out for the yearly refresh without looking at third party. Maybe All Stars at a push...
I'd be surprised if it's Soul Sacrifice, I think it's too recent. And Escape Plan is too small - these are supposed to be somewhat recognizable "marquee" titles to help pull people into PS Plus after all.

Well holy crap. I have my Vita for just under 3 weeks now and I just ordered my second system to play all my Japanese PSN games on thanks to this deal on Amazon UK.
Already got Killzone digital, but I prefer the physical versions of my games if possible, so since I have Soul Sacrifice already I ordered a 3G Vita+Killzone and 2 hori screen protectors for €180!

Was planning on getting a second system, but definitely not this quickly. lol
But this offer was just too good to pass up. :)

So, at the moment, only 4 persons in the world can have Platinum in Rayman Legends. These Aweso Me!, Champion! and Millionare! trophies are such BS -___-;

you could have just purchased another memory card and switched between the accounts.

i guess it depends how often you plan on switching

I have two memory cards already. Too much work to jump between regions like that all the time. Not to mention things would get very messy as I have tons of digital games as well as lots more PSP games I plan to buy.
The 100 bubbles thing would also quickly become a problem I guess.

Man, Tearaway is at bomba prices even before releasing. See this

I saw this while I was in Amazon.

It's Sony - unlike other publishers they have other price points beside full price.
For smaller and kid friendly games with lower development budget's they are quite often priced lower.

For example Sly 4 launched on PS3 for 40 euro not 60.

Guys... I did it... I finally did it.

Stupid PSP2000 with the inferior screen made me jump on a 1000 before those went missing.

nice - enjoy dude!

don't forget PS+ - might be the most important thing you can buy for your vita - yes even over a memory card haha!

i think theres 1 months left before the annual IGC games get swapped so you may want to get a jump on it this month - its SUCH a good value as anyone here will tell you.

EU blog comments. Someone in today's new EU Plus update thread mentioned the comments but I didn't go and look at them for myself, but the poster did say Resistance was down to it's unavailability in too many regions(Though that Metacritic requirement would also exclude it lol). Dunno why LBPV is unlikely... possibly because it's one of the free games in those memory card mega pack bundles and those also have Plus trials with them?

I already have PS+ for 2 years and I've been putting them on my account, hence why it's easy for me to buy one :P Backlog is already huge. + PS4 remote play in the future.

Got a Crystal White one, should arrive on monday. Can't wait!

Man I forgot how good EDF is.

"We just killed 5 of those things! . . . wait there's more?!??!"

"Attack the bugs, the UFOs in the sky are probably unrelated"

"We have a casualty! . . . Then I'll just have to try harder"

I also enjoy how the government names them 'ravagers' while believing they are still probably peaceful.

I'm not sure if I'm excited for this or not. Amazing Spider-Man was pretty fun because of all the side missions and swinging around the place. The stealth I didn't like much mostly because the camera freaked out while crawling around in 1st-person, combat was kinda messy for me (although it felt good when you got a long combo), and the game was pretty short. I think it took me about maybe 6-8hrs to beat the story.

The game is a mixed bag to me, but I'll see how the Vita version looks out of curiosity.

Same quandary for me with KZ/DC. I don't expect to play either online, so DC seems like the better option initially.

Heh, the WiFi Vita is more expensive than the 3G. :s

I'm kind of hoping that all of these (admittedly late) third-party games that are showing up on Vita all of a sudden are a sign that the new third-party division is hard at work and that we can expect better third-party offerings in the future.

Welcome...Glad you planned ahead with PS+.

Also, Crystal white Vita?...where did you get it? I'm so jealous. I would consider trading my OB black Vita in on those sexy white or blue 1000 series Vitas. Guess I had better make that call before they are all gone...but PS4 soaked up all of my gaming budget for a while to come.

Yes, I could have bought the imported retail version even cheaper but whatever. I want it digitally and I want to support NISA for bringing it over.

Like the game so far. The presentation is nice and I like the art most of the time (amazon is disgusting though).
The gameplay is fun, only the mechanics could be explained a little bit better like the stats etc. The equipment management could also be more polished, they should have used the typical slot system.

They sorta have a typical slot system... but it's better than that because they don't force you to equip defensive items. The only requirement for each bag (and the extra slots if you invest points to get them) is that you have 1 weapon.

The reason this is great is because it allows you extra customization for how you play your character. This way if you don't care about the extra defense and bonuses some equip-able accessory will give you, you can replace it with an ability. The other spot this comes in handy is if you want to use various weapon types... this comes in handy when you get further in the game and start chaining stages together -- if your weapon breaks mid stage and you have no backup? You're useless and have to cancel the chain of stages to go back to town. Furthermore with the sorceress/wizard, you can have a staff of each type (fire/lightning/ice) so that you can deal with the fact that you might be facing a demon and need ice followed by a situation where you need fire or lightning. Yeah, you can switch bags, but that doesn't help you out in places where you're using your ice staff and need to switch to your fire type mid stage without the option of switching bags.

Trust me... it's well designed and works with the true game, once you get that far (the above should start to make sense once you beat all the stages once).

Second hand market, apparently the guy bought it for his daughter on a trip to Japan, but she likes the 3DS better. Good news for me.

Well, my copy of Dragon's Crown arrived!

As did my copy of Beyond: Two Souls. It is a good day for my Sony systems. They even sent me a special edition when I didn't even order one! I'd be happier except I deliberately didn't order it because I hate steelbook cases. I am strange like that. Still, not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

I can't believe I forgot Gravity Rush! That's open world on a handheld done right. If ASM Vita comes anywhere close to being as good as that, I'll be very pleased.

Well, this pic looks pretty... disgusting.

Hope this photo is from an alpha build or something. (Link is the same as photo).

Has anyone else had motion sickness problems with Gravity Rush?

I love the feel of the world but have wonky eyes and this is causing really bad nausea. Going to have to leave it sadly. Shame.
