I'm pretty tired of telling Toto he's wrong, but I'll concede that the AI can be pretty bad in DC. However, even with the AI as it is, DC remains one of my top games of 2013.
Lluckily, the AI usually get most of it right, even if they're clumsy about how they manage to do it. While they're not great in areas where they have to avoid environmental hazards and sometimes they just stand around looking dumb, solo'ing the Demon King or getting those speed times on the Ancient Dragon wouldn't be possible without AI help and the AI did a good enough job getting damage dealt out.

Sound Shapes needs to be in your list too, short but great game.
I would also recommend Atelier Totori and EDF, great time sinkers.

I haven't really complained about it before, but it's so lame that all the Crash Bandicoot PSOne games are on sale but not playable on Vita. Tempting to buy them all for $15 just in case they're enabled in the future.

Dead studio mean nothing on porting stuff, it depend on the source code and the publishers who own the code and the ip since in most cases other external studios doing the porting job.
Like in case of Folklore*, GR is dead but Sony own the ip and have the source code and can port it to PS4/Vita if they want.

I like Motorstorm RC the most, but that probably won't fit your criteria being an aerial view racer.
Need For Speed was great to me, but I think people who played it on console were disappointed with the lower quality visuals and reduced traffic density. Not an issue for me.
I suck at Wipeout games, so I haven't played 2048. 30fps is a dealbreaker for some, for others it seems to not matter... if you own Wipeout HD on PS3 you get all the tracks as DLC. Seems to be the #1 pick for Vita racing games.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed --> Best karting game this gen
Wipeout 2048 --> Good but not for everyone
MotoGP 13 --> Full featured port, good but hard for newcomers.
NFSMW have two major problems, the car very heavy handling (make you hate the game if you are a Burnout fan) and the framerate drops.

Great choices, though I would still recommend NFSMW. It's definitely got problems, but I think the positives outweigh those. I haven't played MotoGP 13 since it's not available in the US, but I've heard good things. Wipeout 2048 is AMAZING, and Sonic Racing Transformed is a perfect port besides less shaders. It's the only one besides PC that runs at the system's native resolution, too, so I think it looks better in some way than the console games.

Yeah, I should clarify that. I've heard it's coming from people in the know that have heard it's coming. Which is good enough (Borderlands 2, for instance, was info like this). But I haven't heard it from anyone actually working on or who has seen the game running. So i have different levels of confidence... infamous isn't MAX confidence, but like Borderlands 2 (which obviously was true) I do believe it.

I did. I don't mind. While there are definitely games on the Vita that are amazing visually it's not all that important to me if the game plays well. MK on the vita, for instance, looks like shit but is tons of fun to play. Dynasty Warriors is another example.
If everything could be killzone - look good and play good - that would be awesome. But the Vita isn't a PS3, so concessions need to be made. If it plays well I'm in.
