I need this to get announced tuesday and get released same day....definitely want it before my trip to see Mickey Mouse haha
I dunno, with no invitation, I don't see it happening Tuesday

Now, the north american Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra? Yes

Fed up with Verizon not allowing the Nexus phones, going to switch to either ATT or Tmobile. Not sure which carrier yet.

This is the phone I'm waiting on. My current android phone is pre historic by today's standards, and not to mention the battery is starting to show signs of going to shit. I hope it doesn't take too long to reach Canada because I'm not sure how much my phone is going to last.

There has been sooo many "leaks" of this thing i`m sure its ready to go....since Iwata doesn't drop bombs anymore I`ll leave it to Sundar

$30 plan if you go to Tmo.
Leaving the five bars of coverage of Verizon for the poorhouse of T-Mobile is a hard sell.
i dunno man, it takes a minimal amount of skill to take a phone out of a pocket and have it right side up by the time it's in optimal viewing distance, while it makes it impossible to prop the device in portrait mode with headphones in...
In what kind of bizarre situation do you need headphones AND prop your device up in portrait orientation?

Watching a bunch of Vines on a plane?

Then they should jump on the AT&T train.

So I want to use this as my MP3 player while exercising. Will there be some sort of strap-on cases for it?

I now carry 2 pairs of Moto S10HD when I go out forr a long day trip. Its still better than tangling with the wires.

never had problems with wires... maybe i'd get wireless headphones if they did something about battery life... triple the battery in that bitch and have 24h battery life!

Get a bluetooth earphones, jesus. Sweat proof ones.
I'll second this! I jog a lot and I don't know how people do it with ear buds.

Bluetooth headphones are a miracle. The Nexus 4 is an excellent music machine. No skipping like on my old phone, and the Bluetooth doesn't cut out if I look right, either!

Was your old phone a Discman?

Recommendations for Bluetooth earphones?

See, that is awesome and natural.

This on the otherhand is awkward and inferior.

Whoa apparently I don't pull out my phone like the rest of y'all; I don't dip my whole hand into the pocket digging for phone, I instead insert two fingers and pinch-pick it up. So the headphone port on top works best for me.

That's beside the point, the main reason I don't like the headphone port at the bottom is it interferes when using the phone. The headphone cable obstructs into the palm, it doesn't feel balanced while charging etc

I always thought the headphone jack at the bottom was to avoid the cord draping over your hands. The Nexus 7 is doing that to me right now and I'd rather the jack was on the bottom.

Do we have to wait for a hardware tear down to find out if the audio quality is going to be lackluster like the nexus 4?

It's going to be iphone5s or nexus5 for me. I use it as a portable music player a ton so audio is important.

Wait wait wait... Z Ultra is actually making its way to the states?!

What is this $30 T-Mobile plan you guys are referencing? Is it unlimited 4G?

Is it a plan you can currently get? Or something that people already have?

The $30 plan is for new customers only. You would have to buy your own sim card through their website(might have to do some cutting I think). The plan is 100 minutes, unlimited text, 4G for the first 2GB I think. The plan might only be available through the website. I don't know if they have changed that requirement.

They don't throttle you until you hit 5GB.

The plan is only available through tmobile.com, walmart.com, and Wal-mart stores.

What do you mean by "cutting"? I'd have to cut down the sim card to make it fit? I assume that's easy to do without cutting into the electronics of the card?

Also, I hope they release the phone soon. I was hoping on having it before I went to FL next week to visit my parents, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen.

Edit- Was mistaken. Check next page.

Where do I find this new plan? $30 a month is extremely attractive, even if I have to deal with shitty coverage. Tmobile has the thing where you can receive calls over Wifi right? I read that somewhere (to help with coverage at home).

They do sell them. $10.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Tmobile-30-Wireless-Airtime-Card/15443357 (Edit- fine print says it only works if you buy the phone through Walmart).

I'm not seeing it on their site though.

Edit here you go: http://prepaid-phones.t-mobile.com/prepaid-plans

Scroll towards the bottom, on the right.

100 minutes talk | Unlimited text | First 5 GB at up to 4G speeds

This plan is only available for devices purchased from
Wal-Mart or devices activated on T-Mobile.com
