I think NFS: MW is pretty good and enjoyed it. It's no Burnout Paradise but still a fun game.

Top of the page game recommendation: Buy Dragon's Crown and Persona 4: Golden.

I just pressed start and started playing. I never looked at anything at all. I couldn't even tell you other people's advice from this thread.
 
Got my 64GB card in the mail. Trying to back up my 32GB card now, so I can transfer it. Doing it wireless so I can still move my laptop around and enjoy the day... 2355MB/27GB done, 231 minutes to go. Should take the same amount of time to transfer it back. :/

I should have planned this out better.

Well you make a fair point (and I've not even played the game yet), but my limited game time coupled with what I have read, I thought a step in the right direction might be a smart move. TBH I might skip it completely, got plenty else to play on PSV and I'd rather play Muramasa (which isn't out here yet).

WTF is up with my nippon-yasan order?
64gb card came out 10/10 -- it's been over 4 days now and my order is still "preparation in progress".
They haven't responded to my comments on the order asking for update either.

Is this normal?

I don't think so. I got a couple emails the day after we both got order preparation emails. One to give me the tracking link and the other to say it shipped. Said it would be here today and it was.

Maybe they're just behind on whatever quantity they had, but hopefully they respond to you.

Have you checked the Dragon's Crown OT? The OP is not a guide per se, but has some cool info. Also, there's a bunch of vets there to answer yer questions.

Give it a try before kicking it to the side. A bunch of the usual complaints got patched (but none of Totobeni's) and cross-play is coming soon.

It must be nice to be able to distort reality. Motorstorm didn't ultimately fail because of rubberband AI. Motorstorm never really got that big, like a lot of arcade racers don't. And then Apocalypse failed because of situations surrounding the release (a disaster racer when there had just been a huge disaster + PSN hack scandal). If rubberband AI was such a big deal, something like Mario Kart would never have gotten so big.

And they've improved the jumping physics in LBP. It's not Mario but then again, it's not trying to be. But LBP PSP & LBP Vita already have much tighter jump controls than the original two.
 
Anyone besides me and LaughingBanana get Pokemon? It's seriously the first time this year I've played my 3DS this much with one game.

Haven't played my Vita the past few days, but it is still getting use. I'm using it as a temporary replacement for my tablet, which won't charge. Pretty much just use it for web browsing- which works pretty well, except for the lack of copy and paste... And YouTube, but I always used it for that before (except for watching imbedded videos- just did that on my tablet or whatever other device I was using).

That's probably the problem. I guess your release doesn't have the english voice over so it just picks one of the available. Unit 13 is one of the minority of releases that are very limited on the delivered languages. My german version also doesn't have the english voice over and I think it picks French.

Just finished Soul Sacrifice's story chapters along with up to chapter 7 of Avalon Pacts...

I will remain by my previous comment: This game deserves way more recognition and attention from more than the few (awesome) dedicated fans. It's truly unique and not really a MH clone. Thank god it's a great game too, though not without minor flaws.

This game just keeps on giving :3 There are still 3 Avalon chapters left and the DLC pacts are overwhelming. This is the kind of game that is going to stay on your memory card for eternity...Gosh, when will I get the time to go through all of them? I'll just continue focusing mostly on other games and playing this one in between. How's online?

Btw, about the story
What happens if you choose to save Librom and Magusar? I just sacrificed them both straight away
. I'm surprised how the story managed to remain engaging by mostly text and voices. If you think about it, the game only had a cutscene at the beginning and one at the end. Yet the story is one of its highlights and it's handled very well without the need of more cutscenes.

Not sure what to do with Soul Sacrifice Delta. I've spent so much time on this one and still have so much to do, that it would be silly to get more of the same with refinements and extra stuff added. I'm starting to feel the same way about Ragnarok Odyssey Ace. Lol, I feel like it's a miracle both SS and RO have been completed. It might be better to put that energy in new similar games. I would have given VK3 a chance if it wasn't, how to say this, female unfriendly. It doesn't look great though, more like a very average and generic game to kill time on. We'll see if that's true or not. My attention is going to Toukiden. That one seems to be good and its setting is very appealing. No idea when or whether Freedom Wars and PS Nova/PSO2 will arrive in EU, but I'm interested in them too. This one seems to be forgotten, but I enjoyed Lord of Arcana demo as well. I'll be forced to import it someday, if it's certain we won't receive it. God Eater 2...not sure how to feel about this.
 
How long is Uncharted: GA on the Plus Instant Game Collection?

I was hoping to pick up a Vita this holiday season, but I might get Plus this or next month just to download Uncharted before it disappears.

There are rumours those main games will leave around November in EU. Not sure about NA.

Should be the same.
PS3 IGC has the annual games changed out in the JUNE/E3 timeframe.
Vita IGC should be changed out approximately 1 year from the service launch... so during the November PS+ update, I'd wager.

They're supposedly a two man team, so I really don't know what they could accomplish given they have a fairly ambitious 3DS project.

Hard to say for EU, but I can speak about the general stuff for NA... when the IGC jumped to 12 games, it was at E3 a couple of years ago... and that's when they announced that several games would rotate in and out quickly but a few would remain in the service for a year. I was under the impression they were doing that with Vita as well.
 
I like Totos folklore pokemon idea. It beats my samurai Jack pokemon idea lol. It's true kids don't have vitas but sony is always going to chase that crowd and they have been with a decent portion of the software titles and now a cheaper model.

They need a pokemon game. It's been round long enough, I imagine the magic formula wouldn't be hard for some sony ninjas to copy pasta into something awesome.

It might piss of Nintendo a bit, then again they've waited a fair amount and were willing to do PSASBR!

I wish spelunky was a few quid cheaper, heard there are framerate dips in later stages? Finally got the hang of the demo.
 
SCEJA seems to have abandoned the children's market. Notice how they've allowed Toriko, LBX, One Piece, and others to go 3DS exclusive? That honestly wasn't the greatest of ideas, because a $99 PSVTV could've been a good seller to that demographic.

I wasn't convinced at the time.. It was only like 2quid right? Seems a bit steep when malicious rebirth with all its glory was only a tenner. I know different games and all... But still. If it doesn't control as well as the trial does in the rest of the game, and no patches have been made... Think I'll try and hold out till Christmas.. Or more likely until the store update, before the plane ride back..
 
Exactly how long(/bad) are the loading times in FF6 and Chrono Trigger?
I'm suddenly willing to overlook the loading times if they aren't crazy long like I dunno 15-20 seconds.

Unit 13 in Portugal only has Portuguese and Spanish languages, no English. The default language is Spanish, you need to change the Vita to Portuguese if you don´t want the game to be Spanish.

Load times between menus, areas, and battles are half a second to no more than three seconds. It's noticeable at first, can get grating if you're like "fak, i forgot to do [x]" and have to go right back into the menu you just exited out of, but you'll quickly forget about it if you're having fun and enjoying yourself. Don't let purist hyperbole have you thinking it's like Blood Omen load times or anything.

You do know that huge majority of Gundam fans are old guys, right? 30s and 40s are the highest IIRC.

Unless we're talking about Gundam Age or Gundam Build Fighters. But those are more of recent year crap that Bandai is trying to do to sell Gunpla models to kids. >_>

I admit it's been a while since I paid any attention to Gundam, but given that Gundam Breaker has an all ages CERO rating, I expect the game is fully part of the sell models to kids push.

That's reassuring thanks. Going to try and resist till Wednesday still, I guess out of principle, seems like vita should be able to handle spelunky tbh, although I haven't played the full game before.

Might grab sotn instead... Decisions decisions. Maybe something better will turn up by then. Unlikely though, not much vita stuff left to get sony!

Persona 4 Golden is on sale on PSN for $20. Best game for a great price. (Unless you already have it hah)
