How do you equip gem which requires 3 slots in SFxT ?

BTW Network code is atrocious - i'm getting huge lag despite playing people less than 500km aways
 
Thanks for the videos CK. I'm definitely getting the new model along with a 64GB card.
I like the fact that it's louder. I feel OG volume is too low for most titles.

I was able to fit all the PSOne & PSP games I own on my 32GB card now, with about 7 or 8GB to spare. Feels good. If it wasn't for the 100 app limit, I could throw them all onto the 64GB card I have and still rock a cool 10GB of space.
 
Hello, new vita owner here. Just got given a ps+ one month trial very kindly by a gaffer. I have downloaded a couple of instant collection games but need to delete some to make space.

How does it work with deleting them? I plan to buy a years ps+ at the end of the month, so I shouldn't lose any games that way, but if you delete a game, can you download it again for free a few months down the line, even if it's not an instant game collection game still? On 360 you have a download history which you can go back to and re download something anytime later on, is there something similar with vita?

It'll be in your download history; you just can't play them without an active PS+ membership on your account.

The final final boss in malicious rebirth is fucking ridiculous. That shield is almost unbreakable and you only get seconds to attack. The rest of the game was a cakewalk compared to this what the hell. Also the random blue orbs.... -_- the void level, before new game plus. Surprised not many posts on it online, only the story 1 boss.

That's the thing... Decided to take a break, undoing all the relaxing I've been working on lol. Back to spelunky. You die a lot but at least it's not completely bs! Might have to youtube the fight.
 
Touch my Katamari is one crazy game...in a good way mostly. Not so much the suggestive sexual undertones that I didn't expect from a game like it. The rest is genius. And the game is already ''complete'' but there are ridiculous amount of stuff to collect and it's very difficult to stop playing once you start :P Also it has neat near features where you can challenge people on your friends list (kinda similar to Little Big Planet). I've tried some challenges from gaffers and it's a good idea to get more candies if you win. I can see the fan damacy becoming tedious to collect for all the DLC's though (got around 6), but I'm not bothered about trying all DLC's.
 
got my 64gb card in the mail yesterday and UK is on its way. So pumped. Inbetween moving though and I have no real internet so I cant transfer all my stuff over yet.

I didn't know what to expect from hard mode in Kung Fu Rabbit -- holy crap in a pita. It's 3 entirely new worlds... and they're HARD.
 
^New Star Wars table pack for Zen Pinball 2, I think.

On a sidenote, that Terminator 2 table (the one that was funded by kickstarter) released on PSN a couple weeks ago. It's awesome, but there's no trophies. I read on their facebook page that they hit their limit for trophies. Is that really a thing? Almost reminds me of the Konami/Ultra situation back on NES.

It's not a dealbreaker, but I've grown fond of trophies... at least since I got a Vita and started bothering to platinum stuff.

Makes me think a good solution would be Pinball Arcade 2, with BC for all table packs ala Zen Pinball 2... and with a little bit nicer engine, UI & leaderboard/friend features. I'd buy it.

Also, yeah... I still need to finish Kung Fu Rabbit. I unlocked hard mode, and put it down for a long time. Pretty decent platformer for what it is.

so fuck this thing right, I'm not sure if it's actually bugged or something. So the first part is easy just attack the thing Headon and it transforms into this beast that after about 1/4 damage springs a shield. A shield that seemingly needs Shit loads of damage to break (like a super Sayan 3 hit with the hammer, which takes a while to charge and that thing doesn't give you a break).

Also there are these blue nodes everywhere, they can be destroyed but they don't seem to be doing anything to the boss. In the edge of the abyss story 1 boss, you had to light the nodes to disable the defences... I dunno wtf is going on, how did you lot even beat it!
 
Btw was there a thread for malicious rebirth on vita? I think it got substantial new content and it's a really great game for the vita if you like fast action combat that's awesome.

Also I'd love to see some screenshots of vita collections once some of you have your 64gb full.

Sony are gonna make so much money out of us by the time they release the 128 in like 2 or 3 years surely.

Sometimes I think that Target and Sony are in cahoots, because Target never has the games I want in stock, so I end up buying the digital version.

I was going to buy the retail version of Muramasa and Valhalla Knights 3, but both times, Target didn't have it (also didn't have Ni No Kuni, but I ended up getting that retail from Amazon).

So I ended up downloading Valhalla Knights. Actually, it's still downloading, because work internet is shit on a stick. It should be done in 13 minutes or so. Ultimately, it doesn't matter, since I won't be getting off work until 8pm anyway, thanks to all the OT I'm doing.

Anyway, I prefer retail, and saving my memory card space for digital only titles, but then things like this happen. I hope VK3 is good. I saw on the PS Store site yesterday that VK1 was free (but I don't remember buying it), so I downloaded it and played for a bit. It was ok, but 3 seems like an improvement in every way from what I've been reading about it.

PS3 version doesn't have story 2 at all.
As for the boss:
The blue orbs are just there for aura. Breaking them gives you a ton, but you won't have much time to during the second phase of the fight.
The shield bit is random, but yes it does take a load of damage. It's possible to kill it before it summons the shield in the first place, which was how I beat it. Your best bet is to make sure you have a high amount of Aura (using an aura-boosted sorcerous bullet lock-on attack to chain the flying enemy swarms can get you hundreds or even thousands), go level-3 aura charge, and then start attacking it with fist combos until the counter prompt allows you to get at its weak point easier.
I found square - > square - > square - > triangle combo or any of the fists -> sword switch combos to be effective in whittling its health down. Remember to just guard or dash away from its telegraphed slams and spins.
Eventually it'll go into a third phase where it'll fly. Use the whip to go up to it and repeat what you did on the ground. Eventually it'll land, but as long as you constantly keep close and attack it, it shouldn't summon that shield.

This YouTube video helped me out greatly.

Exactly.
Apparently you didn't do your research on Malicious Rebirth.

Malcious is the base game, 6 stages or so, I think, and then the final boss. Released on PS3, now available in all regions, $10.

Malicious Rebirth is Vita only -- I think there's 2+ new stages, a bunch of costumes, and the post-game stuff that wasn't in the PS3 game, now available in all regions, $15.

You seem to have spent a decent amount of time with it.
Now tell me about any slowdown in the framerate you observed and how frequently it occurred and how bad it impacted your gameplay, please? :)

the fact that fruit ninja has been on charts at the price it's at makes me have little doubt angry birds will top the charts and stay there.

Eh, I'm not entirely convinced. It doesn't seem like a great fit with the current Vita demographic. I think it'll start to do well when the Vita gets a sizeable price drop and Minecraft lands. Maybe the Vita TV too. As it stands, I don't expect to see it sell too well yet.

I'll watch the video thanks for the find and link, thing is the shield pops up really quickly for me, before he really starts the flying, after I perform two counters and about 1/4 to 1/3 of his health gone..

Can't smack into him like that and I just end up screwed... Will hunt for some wifi to check the vid, maybe stop him getting the shield somehow. Otherwise the hammer was the only way I managed to Smash it and it came back after just a few seconds. Painful.


About an OT, they damn well should buy it..

I didn't check it out enough, never played the ps3 version either but pretty cool they set us up with extras.

Framerate has held well for me, especially considering all that is going on and how many characters there can be on the scene. Good performance. I remember omega said he found it more choppy in the rebirth chapter and I did as well but only a tiny bit and in some moments.
To be honest it may be affecting the game play at times as I have no clue what is going on and just dash or fly out of the way. But generally it's great for me, really chuffed with it.

I think the direct feed videos under the "Movies" section of the Japanese Malicious Rebirth official website do a good job of conveying the games performance, if you want to see how it looks for yourself.
Other people I've spoken to about the game agree with me that the framerate seems solid overall, if that helps. There are definitely slowdown issues in the Rebirth chapter as well, maybe about 3-5 times per bossfight with the worse cases dropping down to 20-ish fps. They were brief though, and usually weren't when I was in the middle of performing fancy acrobatics or switch combos.
Some of the drops were really odd, though. There weren't tons of enemies or flashy effects going on when they occurred. I'm still trying to figure out exactly why/where they happen tbh.

No problem.
One important thing I forgot to mention is that counters can cancel its shield. So if you're really worried about the shield, just ignore the counter prompt and avoid its attack, saving your counter for when you need it (as it will definitely pop up again).
Maybe I should make an OT to remind people this game is out. :b
