Why does Eminem still have a career now that Ke$ha exists?

my ninja Ke$ha stay catchin bodies, em don't want it

trust me when i say we black folks already know white folks stay sayin nigga when we're not around

ugh so tired of the race card here
sure there's hundreds of years of slavery, 2nd class citizen status, ramifications of blacks locked out of subsidized loans when the suburbs were being created, disenfranchisement & disproportionate incarceration rates, gentrification etc etc
but take all that away and our struggles are the same satch, so why can't i use the n-word? i'm sayin tho

Oh.

Well, the "Eminem: Racist, homophobe, or both?!" arguments aside, 4:25 was quite impressive to me. I mean, I don't really listen to the genre (so I don't have much to compare it to) and I haven't the faintest idea exactly what it was he said, but it still seemed clearly articulated and not mushed / slurred, while still maintaining a rhythmic quality .. if that makes any sense. <_<

Eminem's a talented guy, but he's unfortunately also a homophobic asshole who will never have my respect.

Like really, those lyrics in 2013? Kind of really, really shameful.

Pretty much how most of the people going crazy about it felt but won't admit it. Thx for the honesty

Saying nigga in 2013 doesn't represent any of that and quite frankly its a tired comparison.

The more I listen to this song the better it gets. Em's flow and technical skill is just insane on this, then the supersonic part dammmmmmn.

Also, I want to see this performed in concert. I can't even fathom how he'd do that supersonic part live.

Am I the only person that hates rap live? It always just seems like a bunch of background rappers shouting into the mic for emphasis.

Depends on who you see, some of it really sucks (even if the artist is great on the album) but some of it is fantastic. The Watch the Throne tour with Hov and Yeezus was fantastic. Also Nappy Roots put on one hell of a show live here at one of the big Iowa State festivals a few years back.

Yung Joc on the other hand just yelled the entire time and sucked live (free tickets).

When the artist realizes that they don't have to scream live and they can just rap like they do in a booth the concert is great.

Great song! Em has control over his anger and it has made him powerful.

On multiple levels this track is pure destruction. Almost everybody in the rap game would think twice before stepping up to this.

Am I missing something?

I guess it sounded like the quintessential, "I don't listen to rap but X is a good/the best/better than the rest/has a message that most rappers don't put out" that non hip-hop listeners go on about.

X can be Eminem, Macklemore, Mac Miller, Hopsin, Donald Glover in order of most black to frosted flakes.

I just liked the song. I didn't like his other single. Jay Z had only one or two god songs put out. I'm not trying to say I hate rap except emimen. Those statements are always dumb no matter the context.

That well spoken token
Who ain't been heard
The only white rapper who's allowed to say the n-word

You should check out Macklemore. He's the best in the game currently. Ask WanderingWind.

With this thread and the Kendrick cypher thread these off-topic hip-hop threads have been killing my sides.

"I don't listen to rap but X is a better than the rest because he has a message that most rappers don't put out."

X = Eminem, Macklemore, Mac Miller, Hopsin, and Donald Glover, in that order.

On a more serious note, this track hits pretty hard and I actually dig the beat. Having said that, I will not listen to or support anyone who uses the word "faggot" in their music. Not even if listening to this song gave me an involuntary orgasm. There's no place in the industry for that sort of hate speech.

Not that it is right or whatever...but I guess you don't listen to much rap at all then?

I do wish Em would knock it off as he doesn't have the Tyler the Creator "excuse" of being a dumb kid. But still if that keeps you from listening to an artist then from the rap side of things your list will be unfortunately small.

Don't say I didn't warn yall.

http://canibuscentral.ihiphop.com/forum/

The sheer volume of activity that still goes on there, couple with conspiracy theories (shared by the whole board) that would make David Icke and Alex Jones blush, mixed with a King of the Dot brand of "what makes quality hip hop".

It's just disturbing. Go ahead, click around and read a few threads. Your head WILL be fucked up for days afterward.

Faggot is also a food.

It's not like Eminem doesn't like Gay people, he's good friends with Elton John.
