Sexist assholes capitalizing on a women's serious issue. But hey, the women would not want to deny cancer awareness, so it makes it all good.

PS. EVERYONE should watch the documentary Pink Ribbons, Inc. should be in netflix.
Que?
None of the women in the video seem like they were forced into doing it. Many of them seem to be having fun, and some of them have their significant others with them while they are getting motorboated.

If they were 'capitalizing on a women's serious issue', they would be gaining something out of it. The only thing they are gaining out of this is youtube views. And they have donated $2080 to Cancer Research.

TL:DR: These guys are no heroes. But everything they are doing is consensual, and the ladies seem to be having fun too. There's no exploitation going on in this video AFAIK

"That looked like a fucking yacht to me!"

lol
Best part of the video

Women don't have to be forced into it for it to be a dick move capitalising on women's issues.

If I could stick my face in ladies' cleavage for charity I would totally be gaining something out of it.

Wait, why are most people in here cheering these assholes on?

Probably because most people don't consider them assholes, and they raised money for a good charity, plus raised awareness. You might not like their methods, but no one got hurt and they got the job done.

Checked the thread to see overlypoltiicallycorrect/godforbidanyonemightthinkimsexist-GAF in action, I was not disappointed.

Some of their old videos are actually really funny, nice to see the reactions, and to be honest they never seem to do anything disrespectful in any of their videos. There's much worse stuff on youtube in this genre xd

some reactions here,... i don't understand.
it's for a good cause, the woman are fine with it and so should others too.

is it your girl there?
jealous?

Eh, not every cancer awareness campaign has to be a middle aged lady in a sepia filter talking for 10 minutes with corny music in the background, im okay eith reaching a wider audience, after all men have mother, daughters or girlfriends.

......YOUR girl?

What the fuck is that supposed to mean? YOUR girl.

What do you think women are possessions or something? You think you can just own women?
Hahaha.

What the fuck are they doing? So much cringe.

this was the lamest shit I've ever seen for 2 seconds before shutting it off in embarrassment for everyone involved.

Ingenious idea, and LOL @ the haters saying they exploited these women. They were up front about it and the women consented, so I don't get what the issue is. If it was a straight up breast cancer awareness video many, including me, would not have watched it.

I thought their answer to cancer was $2080 towards cancer research

Their answer was not any other form of fund raising or involvement available out there. Their answer was to fondle breasts.

Would you have a man's asshole fundled in the street by a random uninvited stranger for the sake of cancer research? Perhaps in this light, you will see how ridiculous the premise is.

And? The research got money, the dudes got some fun and the girls got the good feeling they benefited something to a worthwhile cause. Everybody wins. Well..everybody besides some neogaf users it seems.

i'm guessing there were a lot of awkward boners for these lads that day

edit: woman at 3:25 was savoring that shit

see my first post in this thread for my initial reaction but this post in nonsense. Of course nobody wants to see a dudes bung hole fondled in the street for cash. However, they raised 2k precisely because people want to see this.

It's still a big bag of cringe, but your comparison is just so horrid that it should be mentioned how horrid it is.

The reason the focus on boobs bothers me can be found here:

Have fun.
A small contingent of internet fools lacking empathy and being willfully ignorant so they can feel like their opinion is unique (and thus, correct) is not an excuse to avoid looking for ways to create awareness on an issue. At the very least is interesting that they are focusing on aiming this among men on the internet, is a different approach that the usual idiots won't be as resistant of.

Of course, a guy just might see that and think "That guy is motorboating those bitches lol" and that's it, but that might not always be the case.

And my comments in this thread is more a statement of our society, where this hipocrisy and double-standard is ultimately damaging to women. There is a systemic reason why there is a free pass in society to fondle breasts to raise "awareness". These guys simply capitalized on that to appeal to their audience.

Congratulations. You and a small contingent of guys seeking ways to approach women are now "aware". Was it a mind-blowing revelation that there is breast cancer out there? what now?

Again, everyone should watch Pink Ribbons, Inc. We should listen to the actual victims in that documentary in ways that we can actually make a difference.

...and? I'm having trouble seeing anything illegal or unethical here.
Or do people trying to raise money for a cause need to get moral approval from you?

....
I don't even know how to respond to this.

My mother has recently recovered from breast cancer, after undergoing surgery and various long term treatments. I see nothing wrong with this campaign and neither would she.

edit: also read the OP and some of the replies on the first page in the Angelina Jolie thread, and I must have missed the point because I didn't see anything in there about overfocusing on boobs...

I'd be more than happy to let someone fondle my ass for the sake of cancer research.

If I enjoyed that sort of thing, I would too.
If some girls asked me to twerk them for charity, I'd do it. (I'm not sure what the female version of guys motorboating girls is)

I thought the brown dude was being charged or was charged for sexual harassment.
I googled Simple Pickup Jesse charged and nothing relevant came up.
So no, I don't think so.

They've had Campus police approach them a couple of times though (they frequent USC for their Get her Number videos)

Kind of a dickish way to raise money and "awareness".... But I can't exactly hate on them. The women consented, they didn't have to say yes. They have also done much more than I ever have to help with the cause, the most I have ever done is participate in no shave November and buy candy and shit where proceeds go to cancer research. If someone is so adamant about these guys being wrong, why don't you do something that would be a better way to raise awareness and money?

I guess to me it's like...I really don't like war, but they usually result in a lot if advances in technology that have made all of our lives better... This is a stupid way to go about raising money but....they raised more money than I ever have
Are there a lot of people who are unaware of breast cancer?

Yes just as there are still people that are unaware of contraceptives. Don't take for granted that people know everything you know.

they raised more money than I ever have
Just wanted to point out that they didn't raise money (not that I'm aware of).
They donated money out of their own pocket based on how many girls let them motorboat them.
Don't know if that changes anything, just wanted to point that out.

They are raising awareness though.

Fund Raising is exactly what they did am I missing something? They did it in a light hearted way which can result in my donations due to video views.

It seemed to me that everything in the video was consensual...

Fondling an asshole?(as inside exposed to the public don't be stupid) This is a completely one sided argument. I'm sure if their was a video of men having their crotch grabbed for cancer people would still laugh. The end result of the video was a donation to a good cause and they will donate more the more views they have. Have fun white knighting the rest of the thread because your view on the situation is wrong.

I can see how ridiculous your argument is. Somebody think of the WOMEN!

Yes indeed... somebody think of the women.

Here is a good article on the issue **NSFW**

For those not interested enough to click and read through the article:

Trending perfectly with a culture that commodifies almost everything, from the most intimate aspects of social life to the war on breast cancer itself, breast cancer advertising and a new genre of trendy awareness campaigns use sexual appeals as a way to get attention and raise money. Some even claim to be educational, vital in the pursuit of a breast cancer cure, and instrumental in helping to save lives.

Sexy breast cancer campaigns are an extension of the broader context that already sexually objectifies women. They just do it in the name of awareness and fundraising.

Supporting a social cause oriented to women while undermining women’s status in society is counterproductive. But since advertisers want to tap into our unconscious minds, conscious scrutiny of media messages can help to mitigate the effects. Whether it is a Dolce & Gabbana ad that glamorizes male dominance or a breast cancer awareness campaign that sexualizes women while glossing over the realities of a serious disease, media literacy has become a necessary tool for the pursuit of gender equality and for the fight against breast cancer.

The creators of the video in the OP could have capitalized on their existing fanbase to raise educational awareness about the cancer. Instead, they saw it as an opportunity to motorboat breasts. Bless their hearts.

I did the same thing when I used to fundraise for walk-a-thons >< . For every mile or so I would donate a dollar, so would my parents. I mean they could have just donated 20 bucks and I didn't have to do shit...but that defeats the purpose of me doing any actions...
