Same here, though I am edging to the vita version for playing while travelling..... I may be tempted to double dip if you can share the save between ps3/vita though. Anyone know if thats possible?
 
Those bossfights in Muramasa are a bitch and I just suck at action games.
Doesn't help that I don't like the control input for the charge attack and that they put fricking big trees in the foreground of a bossfight where you can see nothing what happens behind of them.

I am going through my health supplies like nothing.

Yeah I've gotten stuck on one of the boss fights, the one where you're sucked into the guy's stomach. I think I'm way overleveled too and all the newer swords are locked out. Not sure what to do. Whenever I try to do damage I get that message saying hide. But I don't really know how to damage him if I'm hidden?

1. Save gift card for PS4.
2. Buy Vita at Argos with money. Save gift card for PS4.
3. Buy Wii U with gift card. Use real money on PS4.

I suspect I know the answers I'll get.

I doesn't say specifically it will be. It seems to say that you can just play it on that screen. I suppose it will be just upscaled from 720p.
 
I'm going to go with the Vita version of FFX & X-2 HD, I would much rather be able to play those games on the go and with the Vita TV coming out sometime soon, you'll be able to play them on a TV as well

The Argos deal seems unlikely to be bettered so I'd say that's good bang for your buck (of course now I've tempted fate they'll be giving them away in packs of fruit gums next week).

When it comes to grabbing a launch console I wouldn't like to say since everyones reasons seem to be different. I'm only picking up the PS4 at launch as I have some spare money, its my birthday and with a sprog dropping in april I really doubt I'll be able to drop £400 guilt free after then :)

If you can afford it, it seems like it would be a good companion for the vita.

Lol same here. She knows I'll buy the Vita physical version (if we hopefully get one). What she doesn't know is that I'll ALSO buy the digital version and the PS3 disc version. And if we don't get the same art as Japan for the Vita Twin Pack, then I'll import that one too.

I just like FFX that much, and I also want badly FFXII HD to happen.

You can remap the buttons.

And don't worry, I'm also lot too good at action games, but once I got the hang of the fighting mechanics and combos I became addicted to the game.

Never mind those messages. Just focus on staying as far away from the guy when you are not hitting him. Use the roll move for that and you should be safe.

Also try different swords, each has different special powers and some of them are better suited to certain bosses.
 
I just bought a used copy of UMvC3. The graphics made me WOW! It comes off quite sharp and clean. I thought it was gonna be a bad port based on the bad textures on the title screen and the tiny character selection screen.

I'm just a bit worried I'll wear down my dpad really fast.

also has replays and hit boxes that aren't in the console version.

you have two great assists there

you might want to start with vergil unless you really like DHC'n to vergil swords for easy kills

but if you are going to use vergil, please change your controls so your LIGHT attack is on the the shoulder button.

this will allow you to do sword loops which is really what makes vergil broken

this also gives you access to the round-trip glitch with him.

the quicker you switch, the better

Btw is online dead? I searched for matches/lobbies just to try the ping but couldn't find one.

lobby search will show a couple during the evening. ranked quick match there is like 3 people looking that way

get used to doing training mode but putting fight request on. more people search for ranked matches that way.

for some reason, the pools are different between training fight requests and just searching for ranked matches. same with the console version. kinda dumb

I'll stick with arcade and practice for now. I found a lobby and promptly got demolished as expected. The latency was reeeally bad too. Is there any way to check my latency?

no

the "bars" that show that don't work correctly on the vita. checking their region (flag) might give you some indication.

don't worry about getting smashed. it will help you learn. learn some BnB combos with your team until you have them down-pat. work on mixups with assists. also work on mixups after you kill one character and another is entering the stage

I say go with #2, if not then #3 and then #1
Plus the remote play with the ps4 to the vita seems to be the real deal.

Did you get the Salamander charm that's hidden in the area and equip it?
It helps a lot.

When it says hide, you hide.
You run as far away from the demon as possible and stand in the shadow of the pile of stones and kill any small demon that comes near you... There's a cue so that you can tell when he's stopped punching (the screen stops shaking, I think), and so you run back and beat the dirt out of him until it says hide again.

I chose a fury mode one because they obviously don't get hit, so it should show you how to avoid the stuff.
 
For those of you who are asking for opinions, I'm making a video of Valhalla Knights 3 in the near future but this shit takes a lot of time - don't want to misjudge an RPG by it's first two hours.

or are they already considering the vita's oled model dead? :(

FYI the Argos gift card lasts 1 month..ish. I got mine yesterday and it will expire on Nov 14th so that will be worth considering.

I'm really hoping that the JP physical releases of FFX/X-2 have full English voice, text & subtitles as I'd love to own these games on cartridges. I have a funny feeling that S-E is only going to offer them via digital download in NA & EU/UK.

Especially because the first hour is basically non-stop dialogue. I'm an hour and a half in, and I only just got to the part where it opens up and lets you do anything. Hopefully it gets more interesting from here.

it's sort of like a faster paced zelda style game with a big overworld. you can also change between characters on the fly

the other characters are controlled by the NPC and take no damage. bosses are pretty big and involve and lot of hacking + roll dodging

People point some similarities with Zelda, but with a heavier RPG elements and a faster paced battle system.

I haven't played any Ys game yet. Been busy with P4G :)
 
Hey guys...

I've been thinking of putting videos and music on my Vita (32gb card) just cause I feel it's an underused ability, and I also want to save my phone's battery. My idea is to just delete games outright and reinstall them whenever I need them, seems like the way to go thanks to cloud saving with Plus. My card is basically full right now. Does anyone else do that? Like the whole install and reinstall thing? Anyone know if redownloading games still incurs bandwidth fees for developers?

I guess my problem is that I like to keep games on hand in case I want to play them, but I haven't even started some like Virtue's Last Reward, which is taking up about 1.3gb. My other issue is I'll completely forget to try games out if I don't have them installed. Like Blazblue, I only remembered about it a few months after I got it from Plus. Which is a whole nother fridge management issue. Anyone have a good way to remind yourself of games you own? Sony really needs to fix the PSN download list so it can separate PS3/Vita and even Demos/DLC/Games, if they did I wouldn't have this problem.

Any have any ideas to streamline this process?
