New Ryse: Son of Rome story trailer [new footage]

But that was a gameplay section from the latest build. By "other clips" do you mean the combat vidoc? Because that was an older build.

I want to believe. Was looking closely at the animation in that clip and it's out of this world. Look at the guy trying to get up. I mean is that really in game? Jesus I hope so.

Last for now:

Yep that's a button masher alright.

Yep, that's a troll alright.

People are fond of this one so bigger!

this is unreal.

However, this game screams UC2 in terms of a cinematic and linear experience, something that i'm not fond of.

THey need variety in the combat. Different weapons and shields (something like dark souls where each weapon has a unique fighting style.)

Some kind of exploration would be nice too.

It's 2013 now, the gameplay better hold up

Gametrailers is a joke.

Gamespot's video player is much better, especially since it has the capability of running 60 FPS videos.

Hard to imagine that at some point in 2008 (dark times all around circa youtube before 720p) it was the best streaming option to watch video game trailers.

They said "in engine" which to everyone on a certain side of the fence means the gameplay will look just like it, despite concerns that this may not be the case.

In-game.

They've said over and over they want this to be a movie-like experience with equal quality at all times.

We've heard that the scaler chip helps out with AA.

Until I see button prompts or a HUD, I'm going to assume it's pre rendered in-engine footage, like Uncharted 2/3 cutscenes. I've been fooled too many times before.

Never understood what the rationale was behind making that animation so rapid. Wouldn't the bottom of the helmet dig into his cheek if he brought it down at a slight angle. Also, no matter how much leather padding there is inside, that's just gotta hurt! Thought Marius was a wise brute.

Besides, I find that slow and deliberate helmet wearing has far more impact on the viewer than slamming it onto your head like whack-a-mole! :D

You know a game is good when you're nit picking the minor details from a blown up GIF that you've gotten to watch over and over just to even see the imperfection. That and the fact it's a, you know, game and all.
