Pokémon XY |OT2| Would you like to leave a tip?

Wow, Pokemon in my friend Safari are shit. I have Lillipup and Loudet, two of the worst Normal type pokemon out there. Why Gamefreak, why? Is it because I'm ugly? Is is because I'm not a good person? Damn!
 
Just got my first shiny of Gen VI:

I walked into Hecatonchires' Friend Safari and there it was. I was actually thinking, "Wow, they really lightened up Lillipup compared to Gen V," and then the sparkle happened.
Even though Stoutland isn't the best, I'm still happy I got something shiny at least. I'll probably raise it to 100 like I have all of my others in the past.
 
You know, thinking about it, Shedinja has got to be the creepiest Pokemon ever. Screw Yamask, screw any of the ghosts, Shedinja is nuts.
Why? Because if you're not expecting it and inadvertently setting it up, you've got this Nincada who is just on his way, leveling up to becoming a Ninjask, congratulations, you've evolved your Ninjask! Then you open up the menu, look into your party, and... it's just there. This floating husk. This husk with a halo, staring at you with squinting empty eyes, just there. No fanfare, no notification, dude just up and crawls into a Pokeball, and just sits there, like he was just chillin the whole time.

Tl;dr: I just got a Shedinja.

EDIT: That's not even mentioning the soul-sucking ass crack.

Shedinja is awesome, I remember getting it for the first time in Ruby. Shocking moment to say the least.

Use a Dwebble, get it to learn SR by level up and have that and Ferroseed mate.

dunno about Graveler. Maybe you gotta chain breed to use it?

I can also throw in a random Egg. Honestly do not know what it is. I've spent most of my time in this game breeding 'mons.

  • Vaporeon's typical niche is a bulky water tank, so bold suits her just fine. If you want to focus on offense, modest.
  • Jolteon's got a decent Special Attack stat and great speed, so timid is what you'd be looking for to make sure he ends up fastest.
  • Flareon... probably adamant so in the unlikely event it doesn't die in a single hit it can dish out some damage. Flareon's a joke.
  • Espeon will usually run timid to hit first since its special attack stat is impressive on its own. If you've got one with magic bounce you could use a defensive nature for baton passing.
  • Umbreon's generally support since he's got some pretty mediocre attacking stats. You'd probably want to run calm on him and stall out with toxic.
  • Leafeon would probably benefit most from jolly to make up for its middling speed.
  • Glaceon is also a joke with pathetic speed, so modest probably gives it the best chance to do something.
  • Sylveon, not sure. You could go special wall with calm, or bulky attacker with a timid or modest calm mind set.

Thanks for the tips! Still missing a majority of those natures so I guess I gotta keep breeding them.
 
I love the idea behind Shedinja. I never got one in Emerald because Nincada is uncommon.

Also Shedinja is a crazy troll in the Platinum Battle frontier, where you choose a type a get to battle pokes of that type. I was destroying Ghosts with my Garchomp then out of nowhere comes Shedinja and walls the fuck out of me LOL. He is the reason I used to have Crunch on my Garchomp.
 
Getting ready to face my buddies in our traditional post E4 battle, but I'm thinking of switching my team up a bit before I do.

Currently have an Aegislash, Venusaur, Absol, Delphox, Raichu and Haxorus.

Considering dropping Raichu for a better eletric type and trying to get a ground type in there somewhere. Comments?
 
I was arranging my Boxes and noticed that one of the Pokemon I got from Wonder Trade had Pokerus. I almost released the thing!

It's incredibly combo-reliant, and if anything at all slips up, your finished. This is exacerbated by the fact that King's Shield does not protect against status moves.

Although the fact that you will swap into shield/sword form anyway regardless of whether the move is successful or not can help (or hinder, depending on the situation).

The one true counter to Aegislash seems to be Mega Blastoise. Aegislash can't switch in for fear of being Scalded or Dark Pulsed and not even a +4 Aegis can I shot him. (Assuming of course Aegislash is acting the anti-spinner physical sweeper and not a toxic variant)

I think we might be working on parallel planes a bit.

I'm not particularly interested in that level of competitiveness, I was just making a comment from experience that paralysis is a pain in the ass for it.
