tumblr really likes the new professor.

I was secretly hoping he was the pokemon league champion lol

Holy shit, someone in Wonder Trade just sent me a japanese Ditto. Now I feel bad for whatever Pokemon I sent that way.

Finally beat the game.

Sylveon unleashed havoc on one of the e4 members and the champion even though, it was a few levels below them. Light Screen and Calm Mind doomed their Pokemon to oblivion, basically.

I think my Competitive team will involve a Baton Pass Venomoth and a Special Attack Mr. Mime. I will probably add a Entry Hazard Ferrothorn and a U-Turn/Volt Switch with Thunder and Compound Eyes Galvantula with Thunderwave too. Suggestions to mix up my ongoing idea, welcome.

Doesn't Galvantula have Sticky Web? Use that!

Got really confused at the super training a bit ago... Said I maxed out attack and speed, yet I somehow could put +6 into a 3rd stat to max my EVs... Wut

Assuming I goofed somehow, but I know when I finished the attack & speed training it said that stat couldn't go any higher, hm...

Nah, there's 6 leftover points to distribute after maxing two stats. There's 510 total EVs to distribute, and each stat has a max of 252. So maxing two stats takes up 504 EVs, which leaves you with that 6.

Max amount of EVs a Pokemon can have are 510
Max amount of EVs a single stat can have is 255, but those extra points go to waste so GameFreak limited it to 252 in Super Training.
2 stats with 252 EVs are 504 leaving 6 EVs to an extra stat

Woo okay thanks guys, I've never really done EV training before so it's pretty new to me.

Got a bunch of the bags that clear your stats so I figured I'd try to give my duded some roid boosting.

With that said, when I clear my EVs and then retrain them, what will change? Their stat growth moving forward? Will I see an immediate difference when I level up next time? My mons are about level 50~ area.

I've never really played much Pokemon before this, why would I want to stop a Pokemon from evolving?

Unevolved pokemon often learn stronger moves earlier or moves that the evolved forms don't learn at all. Also some people like to keep their pokemon small and cute.

Some Pokemon learn moves faster than they should or for some Pokemon has different movesets. (ex: Shroomish learns Spore if you keep him unevolved for awhile, can't learn it as Breloom)

Let me know if you ever want any of the Y stuff :)
You're too kind. I'm sure we can make some mutually beneficial trades. :D

I think I've decided to hold off until after Ace Attorney 5 though. With Animal Crossing still going on, trying to juggle three 3DS games would be a bit much. I'm sure I'll devour AA5 pretty fast though, I'm quite voracious when it comes to those types of games.

Gotta say it's funny how people complain all day about Nintendo games like Zelda and Mario & Luigi, Pikmin etc. all being really annoying in the way they tutorialize everything when there have been so many we kind of know how to play them. Then people decide to stop ignoring Pokemon and are surprised the game doesn't tutorialize everything. I don't disagree at all with them about those games, but this clearly shows why Nintendo does that. Not everyone will have played them. I don't know what the perfect solution is. Probably a little bit of tutorial and have the rest of it be discover-able. I think the two obvious examples of things that aren't tutorialized that maybe should have been are the d-pad for walking and how to register items. That being said these issues are incredibly easy to solve if you are at all curious while playing the game. Pressing every button to see what it does is a right of passage in every game for me.

I remember when you said you were done with this game; you just like to pick fights, huh?

i changed my mind. i cant change my mind? or you mind that i changed my mind?
what's so good about Fennekin? maybe you could enlighten my mind, help me change my mind once more perhaps.

Could someone give me a teensy hint about whether there's something to do at the spotlit area in Reflection Cave, or the icy blue stalagmite in Frost Cavern?
