Why do people blur out their thumbs in these spy shots? Do they think someone is going to ID them via their fingerprints or something?

It's probably fake, but since the Nexus 4 eventually made it in white I thought why not.
Beside truthfulness... do you like it? Which one you prefer?

My god, that is gorgeous!

It's really too bad the larger battery in 32GB rumor seems to be wrong, that might keep me from going with the Nexus 5. Regardless, I can't wait to ditch Verizon and switch to AT&T.

I likely will go N5 despite disappointing battery, what would be the best phone to buy and resell? Gold 16GB iPhone 5S?

The Moto X, despite dedicated cores and a 720p, had an awesome battery life out of a 2200mAh battery. My One can easily get through a day with the same 2300mAh. If Google has worked on optimization for this 4.4, battery life might be a win as well.

Besides... Google event on Oct. 24, but no hardware to show

That looks better, I have no idea what that generic blue one with the bluetooth logo was.

Would it be the back of the box? And the one with the actual nexus on the front box is the front of the box. Its just a sleeve like they did with the other Nexus boxes.

That fake looks fake.

Hardware OIS alone is a massive upgrade, not many smartphones have it (only the top Lumia's, HTC One, and LG G2 do). The Galaxy line/iphone line/xperia z/etc all don't, but try to make up for it with a software digital IS.

It's similar to if you're comparing Optical zoom vs Digital zoom on cameras, it's a night and day difference.

Had no idea how big of a deal this was. Thanks.

With all that has leaked already (everything), you'd think Google would just hurry up and announce the thing already.

With the last few Nexuses, the more leaks there are, the longer the actual is unveling is delayed... or maybe that's just how it feels, lol.

For any other product I would agree. But not for Nexus devices that have launches with extreme supply issues and general all around Play Store fuckery gumming up the order and shipping process.

In the case of these guys, I'm willing to let them launch it on their own schedule, if only for the hope that they will actually be ready this time. And don't even get me started on the world availability. Would be nice if other territories didn't have to wait an eternity for this to be available after launch in the US.

Yea, I hope the launch goes a lot smoothly.

I have a question, if SMS and MMS is coming to Hangouts, that means I can message people from inside my Hangout cocoon even if they don't have the Hangout App on their phone (ala iPhone users), right? All while having group messaging work fine, even if they use iMessage? Hopefully this isn't just wishful thinking.

Interesting responses. I'm content with my N4 but appreciate people that love to upgrade yearly. I think the phone will rock but I'm waiting for the N6.

I'm guessing Motorola will most likely make that one with an outside shot for Sony.

I'm wondering if Google is holding off on the announcement because of Apple's event at the end of the month?

I just want one to replace my Galaxy SII :( That white one looks sexy as hell, might consider it since I use naked phones.

Google is gonna be screwed with the naming scheme after the 6.

I think they will do how they have done with the Nexus 7. Just call it the Nexus 5 2013 and Nexus 5 2014. They take the previous version off the market before selling the new one, so it really doesn't matter much.

Pretty much guarantee this is what is going to happen. Only reason they went from 4 -> 5 to begin with is because the N5's screen is now just shy of 5".

The white one will undoubtedly get dirty without a case if history from the One X taught us anything.

I'm in the market for a new phone and have already decided to switch from an iPhone 4 to an Android OS phone. I was set on choosing between the Galaxy S4 or the HTC One, but now I heard about this...is the Nexus 5 worth waiting for or should I just go ahead and choose one of the other two?

Worth waiting for. You're stuck with those phones for two years. Might as well go with the newest best thing before you take the plunge.

Absolutely. Better hardware + stock Android. It's a no brainer.

Can a mod change the thread title.

It should be "...starts at 349 (16GB?) and 399 (32GB?)" according to the latest info.

I have a question about the support on nexus devices. Who do i need to go in case of a hardware problem? LG or Google if i am outside of USA?
