Why the hell wouldn't you save like 7 times (juuuust to be sure) after catching a shiny? /mindblown
 
Does Destiny Knot inherit IV's from both parents even if only one (say the Dad) holds it?

And am I able to trade right away (got 2 badges), I could use a foreign Caterpie to get a higher Shiny rate, add an Everstone to it as well. :P

Because I am currently not using the EXP share or using Mega Evolution and I have a team of 6 Pokémon and I finding some area of the game challenging.

Especially the Fairy gym leader as none of my Pokémon had any move to take them out.

Personally I always play with a full team. Expshare was off except on victory road because I always have to grind there and it's annoying :p
Also cheated without knowing because I kept Honedge with me at all times and he can destroy a lot of gyms by himself.
No Megaevo either.

The only shiny I've found so far is a Trapinch.
 
So what kind of Pokemon is Phantump? Attacker? Tank? Special Attacker?

Just got a Trevenant over wonder trade (havent seen one in the wild) but I decided to use my JPN Ghastly and make some babies since it looked pretty cool.

Seems like its a trade evo too, since it evolved via wonder trade.

Aw Yiss.

Was worried I would have to get another Destiny Knot.

So does it automatically get the best ones from each? Likely not since I have a Combee with 31 SPATK holding it and the offspring Caterpie didn't have a 31IV characteristic (most hatched ones do).

Trial and error until I can get a pair with 31 IV's in each to combine with hopefully. Combee (and my new male Caterpies) have 31 in SPATK, and my other older Caterpie has 31 in HP, hope the baby can easily have 31 in both for now.

As for the characteristic, I think it shows it for the earliest in order, so if it has 31 in HP and SPATK, it's going to show the HP one (siestas) one right?

I love Trevenant as a situational mon. He has an awesome movepool of "fuck you" moves
 
Wait, so now breeding mechanic went back to pre-generation V where theeggs have set nature and no longer randomized each time you received the egg? What's wrong with you Game Freak?!
 
Still getting errors on the GTS when trying to trade Pokemon. I think it's because I'm trying to get Pokemon I've never seen before. Has anyone here been able to type in the name of the Pokemon they want and successfully trade for it?

I have one that "likes to thrash about" (Attack) but the IV guy says its HP and Attack are maxed. So the characteristic might be random between the highest maybe?
 
With regards to having a Choice Specs Magnezone in your party, I want to use a Politoed that can complement it. What can you guys recommend?
 
Does anyone else wave at their DS as the wondertrade occurs?
 
8th gym down. Victory road, here I come. Cant wait to beat the game so I can start getting into post game stuff. I mainly just need to get to the iv judge so I can start breeding some good pokemon.

Yeah, I thought all the caves were pretty easy/short in this one. Though I always had repels because random cave battles get annoying.
 
For Destiny Knot, does it transfer only the best IVs for the Pokemon or just five at random? In theory if you have say half perfect IVs and then half terrible IVs, is it possible for them to only get the terrible ones?
 
Just went to the IV judge

He said for my imposter ditto

It's greatest potential lies in it's defense stat

It's Sp Atk stat is equally good

It's Sp Def stat seems just as good, though.

Stats like those..... they simply can't be beat.


Does that mean those 3 stats have an IV of 31?
