How do see IVs?

I know EVs can be seen in Super Training.

It's greatest potential lies in it's defense stat

It's Sp Atk stat is equally good

It's Sp Def stat seems just as good, though.

Stats like those..... they simply can't be beat.

He'll tell you which IVs are highest/maxed which is useful because it's easy enough to pass maxed IVs in this one.

299 hatched + 4 eggs from a 5 31 IV Mawile and a 2 31 IV Japanese Ditto.

Doesn't include the Mawiles bred to get the one I used to make the Shiny.

The Markings are where the 31 IV's are. HP, Attack, Defense, and Special Attack.

What are you saying?

What I mean is that the nature of an egg no longer randomized when you received them. Just hatched a Skrelp with Mild nature three times in a row even when I soft resetting and reload the game before I received it, something that is impossible in BW since the nature would be randomized at that point. I just hated it to ended up with a bunch of bad natured mon in my box.

The natures are set if you use an everstone. If that's what you mean?

Neither my Skrelp or Clauncher holding a Everstone, so no.

Thanks, and I really lucked out on the IVs. Those 299+ have anywhere from 2 to 5 31's, I'm sure.

If I were to try for another Shiny, I'd definitely use two perfect IV'ed parents instead of just one and a Ditto. I would have been so sad if my Mawile had bad IV's, because I would have felt compelled to make a better one.

Do the battle tower once I think to unlock the rival in the back of Kiloude and follow the short mega ring upgrade plot. Then you get an event when you go to Lumiose.

He'll send you a Holocast after you do the rival battle in Kiloude.

Do the Looker plot, it should activate when you go to Lumiose City. The rival is at the very top of Kiloude City near the pool. She actually has six Pokemon this time around level 65, and you can battle her once a day. You can also do Friend Safari there and the Battle Maison.

Don't forget to do Daily Events too.

Reviews were saying the post-game is barren, and yeah the legendary hunt is pretty sparse, but there's a lot of things to do.

They're just markings for whatever purpose you want them to be. Breeders can use those to mark down what is maxed because there's enough icons for each stat.

Amazing non-battle music. Maybe the best in the series. A lot of the battle music feels too upbeat to me though. Gen 1 and 2 had more intimidating battle music imo.

Guide to starting Looker quests:

Beat the game, go talk to the professor and receive the TMV pass.
In Kiloude City go in the battle Mansion and win at least 1 round.
Then in Kiloude City go north and you will find you rival, beat him.
He will then ask you to go talk to the professor in Anistar city in front of the huge Crystal; do so.

Fly to Lumiose

"Lumiose City" does not even begin to narrow it down. Also, the rival isn't there.

You get a Holo call when you are anywhere in Lumiose City telling you to go to Looker's place (take a taxi). The rival should be there. She is a bit hard to find at first, there's a small pool of water near the very top of the town. There's actually two, but you have to go past the first one you see and she should be standing there near the bench. After you beat her, she unlocks the chance to get more Mega Stones.

Complete opposite for me, i've been having a lot of full HP captures (I've had 4 critical captures as well).

I caught Yveltal with a full HP capture using 5 balls.

Apart from Mewtwo which took about 20 balls to capture the highest before that was 8 balls to catch.

These are with ultra balls.
